How I replaced a 2002 Jetta TDI alternator- an easy way! 

My OAP departed from my 2002 Jetta TDI and I replaced the whole unit with remanufactured version rather than trying to find a 2nd special tool to hold the spindle while loosening the pulley with another special tool (33 spline socket) in order to replace only the OAP. I stayed off the floor by removing the alt. from the top!
