you have no idea how weird that tune is. Im a mechanic for Ford, and ive replaced a fuck ton of transmissions in 6.0s all because of that tune....Destroys them....great if your making a race diesel with a builts trans but other than that stay away
SPD was on the sct x3 among other tunes from innovative when I bought my truck. I loaded it up one day, holy crap. Blew the tires off with ease, power for days. While it's awesome and loads of fun I bought new tunes from Gearhead (SRL+ & SRLX) and daily drive those along with a FICM tune. I say absolutely check it out but I would not daily that tune. It WILL effect the longevity of your engine.
I put a Looney tune on my 2006 powerstroke with SCT X4 last week. It added 160 RWHP. I love the way it woke up my truck. Thanks for the tip Quick Tricks
I run spd on my truck and in 2wd launch in a quarter mile a new 5.0 mustang has to run me down in the last 200 foot. Checking out white rain it’s in the mail now
All I run is innovative diesel love them although they do shift on the harder side. Thinking about trying the looney tune sometime. You should try innovative diesel's extreme x tune its a real quick tune compared to a street tune.
Austin Williams I have their tunes and usually I run their tow tune most of the time but here and there I run their xtreme tune and holy crap that tune is ridiculous. I break traction while rolling if I get on it. Really cool tune but too much for the street. I have 175/75 Injectors so it becomes very smoky lol
have you owned anything other than a 6.0? I had a 05 duramax with efi live ,but when I bought it the dude sold me a lemon,, I didn't kno much abt diesels at the time an it turned out it needed injectors, an a turbo, so I replaced everything, an a few other odds an ends over 8k bill an after all that truck still had a misfire an it turned out cylinder 6 was low on compression so I was forced to let the truck go it still needed other things an now the motor I just had to dump it an lost a ton of $, so after I picked up a 99 Cummins with fass lift pump edge with attitude programmer, but just haven't liked the power compared to the duramax or the ride of course, so rather than putting a bunch of $ into my older Cummins Im thinking about going to a ford an i have a few 6.0 near me for sale ,so was wondering if I was better off building my truck up or would I be better off changing it up to a 6.0 like yours ,an what u would recommend, my current truck is 125k miles, very clean no rust, what truck has more potential, an is best in the long run
As a heads up i have used the looney Tunes Wild. It's a force to be reckoned with. I have head studs and i believe i blew my gaskets from this tune and it's studded. Not sure how accurate my torque pro app is but when i had the wild tune in i was making around 950ft ibs of torque, 600hp and running low 6's from 0-60 mph. I didn't run it too long before the truck started puking out the degas bottle. No more tunes for me, except a canned tune to keep the engine light off. Not bragging just stating my experience. If i could do it over again i would have stayed away from the wild tune. I was weary when i received it but, he said your studded your good. Granted it's been puking a little hear and there for years; so who knows. Maybe i am just paranoid. Thats my 2 cents.
I just bought a 2004 F350. 6" lift with 37's. Thing is all over the road and lots of play in the wheel. Taken it for an alignment and changed out some ball joints. Still not fixed. Any suggestions?
I have an 05 f350 super crew long bed. Truck was on 37’s. Swapped for 35’s. I also have 6 inch and leveled. Had the whole front end done. Ball joints all tie rods and a fresh alignment. I still have play. Not near as much since I put it on 35’s. I also changed the steering bushings. It’s a Ford thing.
Kylar Meier good to know. Thanks for the info. I dropped it at a trusted ford performance shop in town. Hoping to fix what I can with the steering and bulletproof it. Wish me luck!
@@j_hORn I personally would not bulletproof it until it needs it my buddy owns a very reputable diesel shop and he told me the same thing wait till it blows you’re going to pay about $500 more and it’s still possible that it blows Once it’s bullet proofed. I had bought a set of O-ring heads and Aftermarket head gaskets exhaust gaskets so if it does blow I’m ready to go with a much better Set up. To each their own good luck my friend
great vid as usual. I've never seen all 3 of the major tunes compared in the same video like that. it's funny you mention the transmission issue with Innovative... I ran their tunes and thought my trans was messed up....definitely going w/ the Looney tune for this truck.
I'm running looney wild ...mine is bulletproofed and deleted.. blue spring upgrade etc.. I have zero smoke. Wondering how you are rolling coal with the same tune
Just curious (I don't expect an answer if you're not comfortable), how much money do you make on average per video? I was thinking about doing some RU-vid stuff but don't think I'd make any money.
allhail6.0 i own a 06 6.0 powerstroke i also have the sct x4 flash with windrunner custom tunes i run white noise 1 and its great cant complain one bit on there custom tunes you should look them if you want to try a new tune
Steve Webb the tunes are reasonable to i have white rain, white nosie, white street and white noise 1 witch white noise 1 is for studded trucks but i love all the tunes ran them all and i cant complain on any of them
i havent done too much to my truck. was thinking bout ditching the bullydog gt and getting either a edge juice or livewire ts. how much does a tune go for usually? thanks
I have a 6.0 cat delete my state is very strict on emissions so I’m leaving the muffler for now. I already ordered my SCT x4 which of the canned tunes would you say has the least smoke ? It’s my first tuned vehicle so not too familiar with tunes. You’re saying I can get a custom tune for the SCT just download it? How does that work? Thanks
Hey what’s going on man . I just got my 07 f250 6.o I own a Landscape business and I was looking into tuners I’m currently not studded yet . Out of the tunes it seems the Looney tune is the best for me what’s your thoughts man ? Any advice is appreciated thank you
Justin Capwell dont tune a 6.0 if its stock. When navistar and ford worked in the engine together ford skipped out on a lot of stuff and they cut down on the amount of head bolts. I would recommend deleting the egr and getting a straight pipe to help lower the egts. Leave it stock until you stud it delete it aftermarket oil cooler and get a better turbo
It cracks me up that alot of you guys tune and do all these upgrades to the motor and dont do shit to the tranny. Then your calling people telling them you blow your trans. Well no shit! Atleast put a shift kit in it lmao.
Blowing smoke like that means your burning too much diesel fuel. It makes your motor dirty, causes bad fuel mileage, hurts the environment for no reason, and chokes people out. Look I'm a diesel guy too. I drive an 18 wheeler and have an F350 powerstroke myself. With that being said there is no good reason to go around doing that and saying you do it because you like it isn't a good enough reason. If it was something that had no impact on others it would be fine but the fact is that it isn't.
LOL playing with fire when tuning a sourstroke hey it's only money $$$ Ford unlike dodge, never made any allowance for aftermarket tuning even a little, barely engineered for its own factory power, add 5K to $10 k to any ford truck when you buy it ..lots of smoke=.burnt piston heads are coming
