You look amazing! I went through a similar thing few weeks ago. Your vids inspired me to go from long natural to relaxed pixie but that didn't quite work out after multiple relaxers and trims I just shaved it off and let me tell you it felt amazing even though I looked like a plucked chicken for a few days. I was happy to get rid of that damaged hair.

I subscribe to you because of your truth, beauty, transparency, sweetness & honesty! There are a lot of young women on RU-vid that have pixie cut styling videos but I always come back to yours because you don't proclaim to be an expert and you say up front that this may be a "hit or miss" hairdo. BTW, Love your interactions with the kids! I can't wait to see your progression with your new hair cut and makeup journey. Though, I will miss seeing your pixie cut videos because you were my inspiration to cut my hair into that style.

We must've had the same thing in mind. I had a short relaxed pixie and just recently cut all of my hair off as well to the unpermed part. We have almost the same cut too lol. It looks beautiful on you. I hope you feels as liberated as I do because I've been loving it.

I literally just binge watch your videos on yesterday because I just love seeing your tutorials that has helped me. I went thru something similar a few years back of losing my hair. Like you, I do my own hair, as well, but because I failed to take care of my hair properly and menopause my hair literally fell out. So I learn to do better job and stay on a hair regimen that help grow my hair back and staying healthy. You are still such a beautiful queen so just take care of you which is most important. You can’t blame em though. They trained to cut men’s hair. Women only up until recently didn’t frequent the barbers to buzz their hair short. Just gotta go to a barber whose work you’ve seen on a female. Or find a woman barber 🤷🏾‍♀️

Right! I have only had two barbers, maybe 3 who knew what they were doing and surpassed my vision. 2 of them gave up barbering to follow another career choice, and the 3rd was a student barber who was being helped by the teacher. I try to assist the barber as much as I possibly can because this is MY hair...I'm going to be the one stuck with it good or bad. I bring in pictures, videos, diagrams...the works, to try to give the stylist an ideal of what I want. 8/10 it's a hot mess. I don't get it. I just don't get it. I have asked them what the correct verbiage or terms are, so that I can make sure I'm communicating what I want correctly, and each of them give me the opposite explanation of the other. I have printed out photos of what I want, and get the complete opposite; like the only way it could be any more opposite is if they glued hair to my head. If I ask for a fade, I get a taper, if I ask for a taper I get a basic cut, if I ask for a basic cut, I get a fade...LIKE WTH!!!! Barbers are insane.

U look beautiful either way girl ! I have a pixie and I over processed my hair by putting a permanent black dye and my hair was fragile, dry , breaking off and I cut it super short and did weekly moisturizing conditioner and it helped ! Then I went 7 months of just wearing wigs n braiding my air until I was ready to go back to a new healthier pixie 🧚🏾‍♀️

You are gorgeous, the short is everything on you. I’m literally sitting here unhappy with my thinning hair. I switch it up A lot, but for the most part I’m a short hair girl. I went and permed it after 10 yrs natural 😩. I’m about to shave it off and start over . This video was so helpful ☺️

Hey Roxxy, I've always always love short pixie cuts as well. I went bald once in 2017 and now again about 3 weeks ago. I went bald because I wasn't feeling the pixie anymore and I wanted to go platinum white, which I did.... I'm feeling so confident in myself again, from doing the cut... I have had a pixie cut for 3 years and never going back. One thing I found helpful is that you should place the bang in different directions instead of to the right, I prefer my bang on the left to be honest. Also touching up on the third week helps. You look gorgeous with any style.

I had a pixie cut for about 6 weeks and watched your videos. About 4 days ago I went back to the lowcut as well. When I saw this video I thought " get outta here, Roxie cut her hair too!" I cut mine for the umpteenth time because it's low maintenance and I can't stand for my scalp to be dirty or itchy. When it's cut low I can wash with my shampoo often and use acv more frequently to eradicate the itchy scalp. Much love!

My beautician over processed my hair and cut it in a style I hated....never will I sit in her chair again. Felt so bad went to the barber and had it cut down. Next three weeks I will return after new growth and get it cut even lower. I just might platinum it...after all I'm 65...it will mix in with all my gray. Your cut is sharp and it looks GREAT on you...

Honey I did the same thing last year, I think as women we need to be more open when it comes to making mistakes with our hair and knowing that we can cut it all off, grow it back, and do it again if we feel.
