I think this is a good set I think it could use more weathering, its awkward how the Dais is very detailed, but the walls are all blank. Im gonna wait until the Jabba Dais comes out to pick this up. Cause bib definitely ate jabba.

I've been a *hardcore* Jabba fan since '83 when 3 y/o me got the Kenner Jabba. Still got a pic of me on Christmas with my Jabba Play-Doh set. I got like all but a couple of his denizens (for some dumb reason), the 3D cardboard playset, the walmart Jabba trone set, the Han in Carbonite wall dio, and both Skiff versions. I'm all over the place with what I collect, so it was just too damn pricey to pick this up. I see that I can pick it up on eBay without fat Bib (which I could care less about) for about $220 total...cheapest price I've seen. Man, I'm lookin' at your setup and so conflicted with picking this up or not. A hundred would be reasonable (w/the opened set minus Bib), but this whole thing would've been priced right at $150 retail.

I absolutely LOVE the display man! I use the old power of the force cardboard palace. I’ve filled it with the tvc rotj 2019 Boba Fett, tvc skiff guard three pack, power of the force weequay, Greedo, Ponda Baba, and the funko Pop 40th anniversary Jabba the Hutt as a place holder for when I get an actual Jabba figure. He still works well honestly. Then I have an old battle droid three pack that came with a battle droid, super battle droid and Droideka. Last but not least I use the awful Han Solo that came with the palace. That’s all in my display currently.

Been waiting to see how you would set this up and it didn't disappoint. Looks like a really good set that does provide a lot to justify the price and really the only issue was the timing in how long it took for some people to get it. But regardless you've got a fun setup here and I look forward to seeing more different scenarios set up. Because he's been around for a long time this doesn't have to just be Return of the Jedi inspired and really you could have characters from any time be here before Luke and company set up whether it's around the Phantom Menace, the Clone Wars or during the rise of the Empire in the comics. The potential for world building is endless and it's why these scenes are some of my favourite ones you and other people create. I have the Tales of Jabba's Palace book and that's one of my favourites. I do think they should put other Hutts into the line because really we only have Jabba and Rotta from the Clone Wars and there are so many others it'd be cool to see figures of. A Ziro or Hutt Twins would be cool or if they wanted to go really weird and obscure have Ziro's mom. She made it into Lego Star Wars the Skywalker saga of all things why not a figure line? What do you think Bib could be reutilised for? A lot of people are saying his legs could be used for a new Malakili maybe the torso could too. I think he could be used for the more bigger Officer types like Commandant Jayhold and Mosk from Andor. I also think if they wanted to go back to the Clone Wars maybe General Lok Durd but I'm doubtful about that one. They've made the new mould they'll have to use it for something you would think. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.

You might want to take a second look at the Fett on the box. It's definitely the Tatooine version. The Morak version's legs and boots are completely different.

17:06 Is that little green rug accurate to the movie? Everything's so damn dimly lit, it's virtually impossible to detect a lot of the detailing. So if I go through with getting this set, I might just do something like you did with merging the two dios together. So I know you used a lot of foam board, I'm just wondering how you made the steps. Like you stacked layers of the foam board on top of each other to get the right height, glued all that together, then took a fine-toothed saw (or some kind of x-acto blade) to cut a big rectangular chunk out, then laid it down a thin rectangular piece at the bottom, then just continued to lay thin pieces down (each less wide than the previous) to make it look like steps? And then when everything is said and done, spray paint the hell out of it with some gritty lookin' tan flavoured spray paint....which I guess would be labeled "sand" lol. I've never built a dio, but have a little experience with making stuff and spray painting, but have never worked with foam board. So any info you can give me on exactly how you made it would be awesome. I know I'm overwhelming ya, so even if you don't get to any of this, I'm still appreciative of this awesome video.

Hey, sorry with spamming the comment section lol. You're the first reviewer I've seen to use that walmart exclusive Jabba; everyone uses the later version. So do you prefer this one over that newer mold? It's a bit more squat than they should be, but I think it overall looks more like Jabba. Only downside is that squishy plastic has become very sticky with time. Not sure what the best thing to use with trying to make it a little less sticky; rubbing alcohol maybe? Or perhaps nothing can fix it cause it's just the plastic breaking down.

Lookin' at my favourite Jabba character (Amanaman), boy it'd be awesome to get a new more articulated version. Or even if it's a straight up reissue, plop it on a retro style card back. I just want a version with a staff that actually holds its form, unlike the wet noodle mode it's always in. But being hasbro, it'd probably be even more gummy if released now. And wouldn't be amazing if we got a new Max Rebo band set...just like the OG, as a 3-pack. And this time, get Max's _entire_ organ (so including the big ass speaker), and some damn mic stands. Something you had to get custom, or buy the originals from 40 years ago....cause that made a lot of sense when they didn't include those accessories with the ones from the '90s 🤦🏼‍♂️.
