I use Adobe Premiere Pro. There's a ton of better tutorials for it than what I could make.

I haven’t made the leap to full frame yet, or the Mavic 3 Pro. I can’t seem to stop crashing my Mini 4 pro into trees while filming. But, it’s interesting to see what you film with. I’ve never heard of that Insta camera before, but love the flip up screen feature.

Good info Matt, thanks. Currently I use a DJI Action 4 and a Mini 3 Pro drone and they seem to do the job fairly well. I even crashed the drone pretty bad in Moab last year and DJI requested I send it to them for inspection and/or fixing. I do not have their extended care package. They paid for all of the shipping and only charged me $2 for a new lens cap and gave it a good bill of health. Great customer service and great products. Definitely keeping an eye on the Insta 360 products though for my next upgrade in a couple years or so. The DJI action cams have the same magnetic mounting as the Insta 360 which is WAY nicer than the GoPro mounts, so easy to swap from a tri-pod to a selfie stick or vehicle mount quickly. Love it.

Yeah, in an action camera I just want it to be point and shoot with great results as much as possible. The 11 color sensor is frustrating compared to others. Colors, shadows, white balance… The Ace Pro sounds good. I wonder if the next version will have 10bit?

Great update to see how your gear has evolved from your previous camera videos. What are your thoughts on the other Sony Zv lineup and what are you using for editing, hardware and software wise?

All the cameras in the ZV lineup are nice. I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing on a high end Macbook Pro. .

Matt, as much as you lug that tripod around I’m surprised you didn’t get the carbon fiber one. It’s so lighter and still just as sturdy left alone. What was it… Ulanzi I think made their own cheaper (but still very good quality) version.

I have the Ulanzi too and love it but the PD extends taller which I really like. The Carbon one is $$$$. lol.

Nice gear reveal. I have the Mini 4 Pro and enable the D log on there, makes for an amazing color correction. I'm actually surprised you don't have a gimble in there for some of the gear. Do you plan on getting one in the future?

I actually have a nice DJI Gimble. I just never use it. The Mini 4 Pro is am impressive little drone!

Ok I have questions. What format are you recording in?4K 30 frames or 1920x1080. Is it worth it to shoot in 4K? Also when you are using star-link does it take forever to upload video? Thanks dude for all you do for the community and I really hope to meet you at the MOORE Expo.

Mostly 4k 30 or 4k 60. 4K is definitely worth it for image quality. When I know I need to upload while camping I'll upgrade to the priority service for that month and can upload a 15gb video in a few hours. It's not bad, but that service is expensive.

Hey Matt, what was the magnetic mounting you were using on the GoPro? I can't remember but I'm pretty sure you talked about it in one for your videos. make it look super easy to just stick to to different mounting options.

That is the mount for the Insta360 AcePro, not a GoPro.

Thanks for another great video. I've been looking to upgrade my sport camera inventory so the timing on this could not have been better. I also have a DJI drone, just wondering if you went for the drone pilots license or if that's even necessary for the occasional youtube content creation shots.

If you make any money from the use of the drone you have to have a Part 107 drone license, which I do have.

Okay Matt, you’ve got to get me out of my paranoid head. I have the same drone. I’ve had it for 6 months and have never used it. I’m scared. I’ve had another drone and crashed it. I’m scared to crash this one and waste the money.

Oh yeah. Me, The Story Till Now, Revere Overland, Justin McBride, Casey 250, and Venture 2 Roam are all in a group message together and we talk cameras all the time. One will try one first and tell us how awesome or bad it is then we all get the same camera or not. lol.

@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Thanks for all the tips and reviews. Very helpful to figure out what I want to get. I have a GoPro Hero 8. Not bad video but the batteries suck. Blow up like balloons eventually and then you have to buy aftermarket batteries which also suck. I’ll probably get that camera you use instead of the GoPro Hero 12.

Start with what you have (phone) then grow your channel to the point you can buy better camera equipment. lol. That's what I did.

Thanks for showing this. I don't know if I'll start a channel on any trips but I would like to record my adventures. Nice to know that you've been using the Ace Pro. The image quality in your videos from those action cameras are great! So I'm thinking I may pick one up. And also a OM Touch TG-7 Camera to focus more on still pictures. I do have a question though. What software are you using to edit your videos before posting to RU-vid?

Matt that is all awesome gear. Thank you for sharing this. We have cameras / Gimble /DJI Mic system / Go pros’s. / 2 Drones. Was there a photography class you took. Or are you self taught. Same as premiere pro. I think I get frustrated with it at times so I just don’t edit or video. Any suggestions. Thank you again for your content.

Thanks for the info. Starting to try to film our adventures and exploring camera options. LIke you said, the iphone cameras are amazing and shoot great footage. I have a GoPro and just not happy with it, battery life is terrible. So definitely will be looking at the Insta360s. Also looking at the Osmo Pocket 3. Looks to be a great vlogging and semi-action cam for the money. On another note, so glad you have those shots of Rooster with the zoomies. Precious memories. Continued prayers for you and Cara. 🙏
