I'm no expert but I tend to like my trees when I barely put down an ink outline and build the leaves out of paint splotches or dots, rather than lines or swirls. Then I layer darker spots and lighter spits to make it feel more 3d. But I'm probably not the one to take advice from hahah
Thank you again for your painting. Would love to see your painting supplies. I am think to get Daniel Smith palette that you are using. I am a beginner of sketching but I think this palette will last me a long time. Is that a good investment? Thanks again for what you do.
Thanks Pearl. I would like to do a video on supplies but I’m relatively new so still exploring. I do use Daniel Smith paints and I enjoy them but I’ve only ever used one other paint set (an entry level Windsor and Newton paint set). The Daniel Smith I really enjoy though I’ve heard that other professional level paints are just as good. I’d recommend talking to someone at your local art shop - good paper and good paint does make the process more enjoyable.
