really appreciate the points about being weak vs strong for enduring ocd symptoms

Thank you Jade, you are so clear and calm and honest and stay with your subject all the way through. That really helps me to absorb what you are saying. Your comments about how we trick ourselves into justifying avoidance really hit home. Hard to hear but important.

More people who are on a journey with OCD need to visit this channel. Very intelligent people, who really know their subject in and out. Brilliant work. Ill rest easy tonight knowing we can all get better.

So what exposure do i do with one of my stickiest thoughts which is me poking my eyeballs out that just scares me ? The image is horrible ugh idk why i had the thought

Try OCD scripting in terms of exposure. Try not to avoid anything you’d compulsively avoid regarding poking your eye (sharp knives, mirrors, etc.)

OCD will always make you feel like the exception and even if you find someone with 9/10 symptoms, it will still make you think, "what if?" You are not alone - recovery and help is out there!

@@mominmasood Momin thank you so much. I have listened to your story. You are a kind person. I went today for a meeting with a member of the menral health team connected with a Hospital here. They are getting me help but with covid there are so many others needing help also and waiting your turn is difficult. I wish you and the ocd recovery folk all gods blessings.
