Vertical, horizontal... upside-down?? What's the best way to store brush pens? Today I'm going to answer that question! Sometimes it doesn't matter, but sometimes it really does.

Great tips, thanks! Funny side note.... I was watching this while my husband was asleep and I had captions on, and it made me giggle becasue it said Tombow "food and or suitcase" instead of fudenosuke. Kinda funny how similar that sounds 😂 🤣

no judgement! interesting that you say to store tip UP when storing vertically. I'd always thought to store them tip down so that the ink is always at the tip ready to go.... but it makes sense that this may result in leaking pens! :O

Thank you so much sharing these tips! Just about every marker or pen I own is stored vertically and upside down. I need to go look. (Every marker = not very many...haha!) Your Tombow section is stocked better than most stores...love it!

I have a question... Karin markers suggest to keep their pens vertically why do you store them horizontally?

I was thinking the same thing! Karin has two different inks and the metallics are supposed to be stored horizontally but the others no. Everywhere you see them they are stored vertically in the big box or the small plastic ones. They are very expensive, I would hate for anyone to have a leak or ruin a pen because they stored them incorrectly.

The Karin Brushmarker PRO pens should be stored vertically, but the metallic set, and all of the Pigment DecoBrush, are stored horizontally! Karin actually packages their products in the way they should be stored, and includes instructions to keep them that way. They’re one of the only companions that gives clear instructions like that!

Hello, Thank you for this great video! I think I'm making the same mistake with brush pen storage as you... My desk is in room corner facing two windows one from east and one from north side. I've put my acrylic brush pen organizer on the north side of my desk... It's standing there for quite some time... I just hope there isn't too much sunlight to kill my brush pens... What are your thoughts on this? Should I hide them when I'm not using them?

You mention Micron needing to be stored horizontally because of their pigment ink. Do all pigment ink pens need to be stored horizontally then like Tombows mono drawing pens?

So the reason why my pens are probably drying out is cause they are vertical then? Cause I been noticing that. So I should just put them horizontal?

Sharpie chisel metallics - grrrrrrrr. Have yet to keep them from drying out, even when stored upside down as recommended. Tips?😵

And also in the dreambox review vid part 2 you stored the micron pens vertically if I remember well.......why?

Cos it’s just cheaper and ink, it doesn’t really matter with them..... and even tho they’re “disposable” pens, you CAN refill them (the silver top can be pulled out very easily with a pair of tweezers ornpliers), drip a couple of drops of waterproof/India ink in the topwhich is cheap as chips, (when they’re dry/dead and you’d usually throw them away) .... and they’ll be good to go again for ages :)

I've put my tombows horizontally. its been just a month...but some of my pens got dried from its tip. When i try to do lettering the tip of tge brush...its thin part doesnt work though the lower part works. Can you pls help me😢😢

Interesting about micron pens. They are almost sold and displayed vertically on pegs. I've had microns for years and store them both ways with no problem.
