Great questions! I would study about 4 hours after med/Surg lecture in writing out my notes from the PPT and important points on the topic discussed. I made my own concept map and did all the practice question related to the topic.

I always go over the slides provided by my professors, write notes in lecture class then go home and use the text book to clarify the content. It’s a lot of extra work, but it works for me to remember the content.
Hi nurse ala I am taking Med surg next semester and I wanted to know if you had any books left from nursing school or any resources that may help in addition that would be amazing, thanks so much for making this informative video ❤
Hello I advise you to contact Dr Luther if you are preparing for your nclex be it RN or PN. He is the reason I and my husband are very happy today working as Rns

Thanks for sharing . Can you please share the list of all your the chapter for the second semester? And also did you have the essay paper in the second semester??
Yes and no. I type about the important things on my own words that will make sense to me in one color then another color during my professors lecture in class and another color using the book. I’ll make sure to highlight and make in red what the Professor emphasizes on because usually that’s on the exam
I only have the 1 book. I didn’t know it comes with 2 books. Not sure what the volume 2 consist of. But I did well with the 1 book. I also had the practice question med Surg book too. Hope this helps
So I have that same Lewis book but don’t find it super helpful. Is there a section related to each disorder that gives the highlights? People in my cohort keep saying there is and when I look through the book, I don’t see anything like that 😂 med-surg is a beast
It’s best for you to use the PowerPoints your Professor gave so you know what things they will be lecturing on and what will be on your quiz or exam. I paired up what I was learning with the Saunders book for easy clarification and did practice questions from Both Saunders and the med/Surg success books to test my knowledge. For example if your learning about endocrine stuff both books have sections on endocrine. Hope that helps.
