I think you’re on to something here. This is the kind of RU-vid content that complements your Instagram so well. I think it’s a great idea showcasing the looks this way and love the Redwings as always. Those Beckmans are dope.
DUDE! Thank you I appreciate that! Yeah I would love to do more of these types of videos and I think it shows how all the looks I post on IG look on a real person! What kind of looks do you want to see next?
The Mensch on Menswear No problem! I think a dress shoes compilation of looks would be great. Also, since spring is around the corner, maybe some chinos, khakis, and lighter fabric looks just to name a few for the warmer weather.
Nitin A I’m so glad you liked the looks! I think if done right the lumberjack look can be stylish and masculine. Have any suggestions for what video I should do next?
Great video and you have an amazing sense of style! The Timex watch was awesome! I don’t own a pair of Red Wings boots yet but I am going to buy a 1907 moc toes in brown. Thank you!
@@TheMensch i dont, i only own two pairs of boots, a grey and a black swede, im trying to start a better shoe and boot collection and i think im going to purchase some of the ones that you showed in this video. Keep up the good work.
@@hoodyk7342 Thats great to hear! Im so glad I was able to inspire you to buy such an awesome, made in USA product like Red Wings. Trust me, theyre worth the investment! I actually have more than I need!
Hipster doofus vibes were achieved in the making of this video. I am surprised, however, that I did not hear any Fleetwood Mac in the background music or see a feature of your Indian Scout 20 Motorcycle.
Hi dude !!! I am a sneaker guy collecting informations to dig into the boots world, can you please tell me your size in moc toe and iron ranger shoes with a width D and your size in a Nike or New Balance so i can see how differents can be the sizing between these 2 worlds ? ^^
I wear their Worx line for work - I've never been a boot guy but I'm really wanting a more casual boot I can wear in a non-work environment - love the content
Love it! Casual manly look. Maybe instead of the cardigan sweater you could have an unstructured blazer? You are definitely rocking it man! If you add a hat that would look awesome as well.
Luis! Thanks so much for the good vibes Man! Yeah I’m definitely going for the manly casual and easy look here- and great suggestion! I really want to do a video all about unstructured blazers! Hope you’ll stick around to see it! 😉
@@TheMensch i definitely will. Im glad you are putting out videos like yours. Your style is classic and timeless, quality stuff my friend. Wish it was cold weather more down here in Houston so i can layer up more but that's not the case. Take care Gabriel.
@@liljuanito123 Thanks so much Luis that means a lot to me and gives me a lot of motivation! I have another "How I style" video coming this week - do you have any recommendations for future items to style?
@@TheMensch you're welcome my friend! I may have some ideas If you haven't covered them yet. 1)Good belt to pair with ones boots. 2)Correct pant length, i see a lot of people having too much material and never get them hemmed to their size. Like your 511's, they were perfect length. Just that little detail makes a big difference. 3) not too baggy shirts maybe, just clothes in general, make sure they fit well. 4) How about hats? Are you into hats? They are like the cherry on top for an outfit, wether it be flat cap or brimmed, hat, they can really put you on a whole different level. 5) shoe care? If you have dirty shoes/boots you may not look so great unless you just got off a job site or something. 6) beard trimming tips? 7) how to match colors, like your shirt & pants. I think that's a huge one, it definitely says you put thought into what you picked and care about your appearance. Looking forward to your vid. You are so enthusiastic and passionate in them. I'm glad there's others like us out there.
@@liljuanito123 These are all awesome suggestions! I think I want to keep videos exciting so items like hats and belts are more of "Accessories" and so they moreso compliment a look than are something to build an outfit around. It sounds like fit videos are also interesting to you which im glad to hear but also I want to try and figure out a way to convey that information without being boring to non-enthusiasts. I think matching colors is an awesome idea too and something I didn't think about - I can talk about putting "black" looks together "brown" looks and then "monochromatic" which I think would be fun and interesting. Beard trimming is also a great idea! Keep tuned in because im gonna keep the content coming!
Hello bro. Nice outfit. Just wanna ask. Are you using the same size for the boots? If youre using iron ranger 9D, are you using the same size for the moc? Thanks anyway
Good question! I do wear the same size but I feel like after break in, I should have went down half a size on the moc toe. I wear a 9 in IR - and would recommend people to size down on the Mocs
This is such an awesome comment I’m blushing! But seriously thanks so much, this gives me a lot of inspiration more than you can imagine! Hope you stick around for the ride! Let me know if you have any suggestions for me for a future video!
I don’t really have experience with that particular leather or the engineer boot - but I would say wearing the right sock is a big factor - for me darn tough do the best job of cushioning and I don’t have to worry about them not holding up. Also, I’d say don’t rush. If you wear them for a couple hours and you’re getting blisters (like I do on every pair I own) take a few days off and give them another go. Lastly, try wearing them around the house! This way if they start to hurt you won’t get stuck with them on all day! You may get strange looks for wearing noisy boots indoors but I’ll be worth it!
Great vid brother!!! I for one appreciate this type of content. I go crazy every night thinking of what kind of outfit to wear the next day. My favorite part is the mixing and discovering a new combo that I havent worn yet. You did a great job of doing that here 😎🤙
AJs Exchange haha thanks for the love! And totally! Honestly these are definitely the best outfits I own lol especially the one with the moc toes! Glad I could give some examples!
Hola, estoy por comprarme una red wing classic moc de 6 pulgadas 8883 me recomiendas comprar una talla más pequeña o media talla más pequeña, saludos desde Cancún México,
Love the looks, but I feel like it all boils down to the short hem and slim tapering of those pants showing off the redwings. Colors are down to preference and your own contrast/complexion. I would have done a shirt jacket instead of the cardigan, though.
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! Yeah absolutely these looks are just as much about the fit and selection of the rest of the items as it is the boots. Ill keep that in mind and show a look with my pendleton board shirt next time!
For sure! They were like a match made in heaven! The first look in this video I’m wearing a pair of Levi’s that has a very similar fit to the 501 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3CFo4XJ0j7c.html let me know what you think drop a comment on that video 😉
I like the iron rangers but it doesn’t fit the way I dress. I usually dress in slim/loose jeans and loose shirts. I tried on the iron rangers and it just didn’t fit the look sadly. Moc toe and the rovers are perfect for me.
Tom Garcia that all good! I’m glad you found a look that you identify with! I also have to say #6 is probably my favorite look of the bunch. Is casual cool and rugged without looking too outdoorsy imo!
would love to see how your 9060's have aged! the silhouette of the beckman flat box is perfect and so versatile. The cherry featherstone leather is perfect for that look!@@Lindyjoff
Well they make the straps for Timex! If you go on their site look at their strap selection and make sure to find one that says it’s made with leather from S.B. Foot Tannery - they’re owner by red wing shoes and the straps are killer! Plus they aren’t too pricey!
If you are going to br rockin the moc toe redwings you will 1st need to grow a scruffy beard. Thats a must do. 2nd you will need a "nut-huggin" pair of straight leg/tapered jeans(preferably levis )and make sure you cuff the bottom. 3rd a cool plaid flannel the older it looks the better. 4th is optional get a nice bomber jacket like an "Alpha Industries " (the best bomber on the market) or any other brand bomber style jacket. You could wear a knitted sweater but cmon...... you are not over 50 years old and if you are.. sorry I am not trying to offend you.
Thought you'd actually have good styling ideas, as your boot line up is on point. Disapointed to see, that you took the approach as every hipster who rocks red wings. Nevertheless you look good, not my style though. I'll stick to my blue Jean's and plain white tee. Look is much more clean and makes the shoes stand out more.
Thanks for your response - I’m just trying to show that guys can look presentable and fashionable all the while rocking high quality heritage boots. I’m a little frustrated tbh that people have this negative association with “looking like a hipster” because to me everyone needs to get dressed up at some point and I don’t really think about being a poser or whatever. If it’s not your style that’s totally respectable but I much rather have guys wearing and supporting high quality American made boots and clothing that are functional and long lasting than wearing generic fast fashion stuff that most guys my age are paying money for.
@@TheMensch I get you're trying to say, but what you're wearing IS a hipster trend that will die in a few years. It's not even a style is just trend as it isn't timeless. I'm sorry for throwing the H word at you. There's clothes specific clothes for things and if I'm a dress up, I usually prefer using the proper shoe. I understand people use their own "styling" ideas, or trends. For example; people who wear air force ones with tuxedos. Not my cup of tea and not for everyone, and it's just a trend not a style as style tend to be timeless. Just my opinion. Like I said you look good and I mean it but I can bet you anything your "style" will change in 5yrs, and the white tee and blue Jean's with redwings will remain. (Clean, simple, subtle and timeless)
@@isaacmondragonortega4744 Since when is rocking boots with pants, a shirt and a pullover a hipster look? You sir need to educate yourself about Hipsters and how they dress.
What people don’t understand you could try to look as rugged as you can but some people pull it better because they are rugged, stop trying be something your not (to all people not just the RU-vidr)
I just feel like every guy no matter who or what they do for a living will need to look presentable whether it be on a date, or a holiday party, etc and I’m just trying to show guys ways they can dress up a Red Wing boot that is versatile enough to be worn to a blue collar job or to a casual night out ✌️
haha im glad you love my style! Yeah im definitely moving more towards slim jeans over skinny jeans and I think a lot of it has to do with proportions. I think a skinny jeans would make the boots look a lot more clunky
i dont want to look like an urban socialist Bernie supporter hipster. but i do love those boots and one day when i can afford them after taxes are paid off, i will buy a pair.
Haha amazing comment! For me it’s all about getting a pair of boots that look good and will pay for themselves over time. Which pair do you have your eye on?
