@hammer6854 7 месяцев назад
Hello, how long do you usually train by yourself, and what would you recommend for a 16 yr old?
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 7 месяцев назад
It varies, but when training by myself I usually don’t go over 1 hour, because for me that is the sweet spot of not overdoing it. Train for as long as you can do it with proper intensity and focus, and when you start losing that you can call it a day (if you’re not training for the specific reason of playing with fatigue). Remember, consistency is more important than intensity 📈

U got any tips on how to dribble like neymar or any ball mastery or dribbling tips so u dont lose ball?
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 7 месяцев назад
I think first of all you need to get into a mindset that you WILL lose the ball. There is no player that always succeeds in their dribbling attempts, but you want to get as efficient as possible when doing it! The whole area of dribbling can be really complex but recognize that the end goal with dribbling is to create space and progress forward, and the simpler and quicker you can do that, the better! Also, the more speed you carry when dribbling with the ball, the harder it’ll be to stop you!

How many reps per drill ? Also how do you feel about playing pick up everyday is it useful
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 7 месяцев назад
I usually go for about 4 reps per set if that makes sense, to stay focused throughout. Then I do that for 3-5 sets depending on my current workload. So in total around 12 to 20 intense and focused reps per exercise. I think either if you haven’t got the opportunity to do anything else than pick-up football, then yeah it’s great. And if you play in a team and feel that you can still perform in team training and games, then yeah I think it’s good as well. However, if you feel like it’s taking up a lot of time and energy, maybe it’s better to invest that time into other things that will benefit you more in the long run

Cool drills but no measurements like 1 feet or something like really it bothers me like how am I gonna measure this to my own pitch😣🥺
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 7 месяцев назад
Honestly mate, you don’t need specific measurements 🤷‍♂️ for all the exercises just put out the cones in a similar fashion, doesn’t matter if it’s not exactly the same as I do
@TheChessSpot

No cones😢
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 5 месяцев назад
Then use what you do have, water bottles, shoes or whatever! There was one time I forgot the cones and had no other equipment to use as cones. I then used the leaves that were on the ground, placed in a random order and practice dribbling in that way 🍂 it’s just about getting a bit creative

If you can't play like a pro, how can you become one
@oskarxjansson
@oskarxjansson 7 месяцев назад
You have to understand that it’s a journey, and not something that just happens. When I was 13, do you believe I was at the pro level? Definitely not, and not even close, but you keep working hard to improve and learn new things over the years and slowly but surely you make progress and eventually you may get to the pro level.
@gabrielmoorefootball
@gabrielmoorefootball 7 месяцев назад
I wish I was a pro, I am 13 and I am awful, I can't even dribble like you, which means I'm worried about going pro
@BabyEnglandArchive
@BabyEnglandArchive 7 месяцев назад
I’m 13 myself and my dribbling isn’t the best but it’s alright, but a year ago I didn’t even want to run with the ball due to my horrific dribbling. I decided that I am not a skilful dribbler or really quick so I chose power running and shielding. You can study this by watching players like Rodrigo Bentancur or Harry Kane. Now the thing about being pro… You’re only 13, that means if you don’t get injured or lose interest you could peak in like 15 years. That is a lot of time to develop if you think about it, and there are players like Vardy who took a really long time to actually start playing pro football. Just use that 15 years that you have got to work on every one of your attributes.

Love that you guys help each other out! That’s what I want to see in the comments ❤️ A place where we can help each other out! To add something to the previous comment, I’d say what you should focus on first, before doing any dribbling exercises, is your self-confidence and self-image. When you say things like “I am awful” and “I can’t even dribble like you” you are already setting yourself up for failure, and you should try to instead talk to yourself in a positive way. In the beginning it can be hard if you’re not used to it, but over time it’ll get easier and easier. Also, during the time of course you work in your skills and see the improvement, and then it becomes a positive loop of skill-confidence-skill-confidence that keeps going round and round

Alright man, I will focus on the good things, and I will focus on being better to myself, thank you, also, just curious, what club do you play for? I want to know so I can watch your games so I can try to play a bit like you in my games@@oskarxjansson
