So awesome...I bust out laughing at the squirrel inside the bird house and the squirrel sprawled out on his belly. Great video. I hope you get tons of views.

I actually had a mother bring her babies to me last fall. The last squirrel in the video is “Charlie”, her and her brother “George” were the ones brought to my by their mother “Veronica”🥰

OMG! I’m putting out crushed walnuts and fresh water for a squirrel that visits our porch event day. I’m assuming it’s the same one. 🤷🏼‍♀️ He’s so sweet. I named him Jose. I haven’t tried hand feeding him yet and not sure I will, but it’s so fun watching him eat and drink. He also chases off other squirrels that get near “his” food. 🤣🤣🤣

About an hour after I watched your last video, my son came in an told me there where ducks in the back yard. I thought he meant regular ducks. ( a few people do sneak pets like that around here ) I live in the suburbs & there are 2 parks w/ ponds & there are wild ducks there but never seen them near my home. I went out & sure enough there were 3 Mallards ( 1 female, 2 male ) waddling around the yard. I can only guess its mating season. He took pictures & they finally left. We see odd things every once in a while, wonder what I'll see next. Just thought it was all kinda funny. :~)

This is so cute, I have tried to feed them from my hand before but without success, i'm also scared if they bite me : (

Thank you! The trick is to feed them with whole nuts. They’re bigger so it lessens the chance of them getting your finger😉but squirrels are unpredictable, so it’s a chance you take. It took me about 4 months to accomplish this😊

Excellent video, I love it but, let me tell you something, with all respect, I'm not judging you, I'm just sharing my knowledge. Please don't encourage people to feed birds or other animals in an open space like 1:40. They are exposed to hawks or other predators very easy. Is better to put feeders on places like underneath plants or trees or something close that they can hide. I understand you were "training" them but even if it was only for a few hours, they can be catch in seconds by a hawk, stumps is like serving them in a plate for hawks. As I said, I love the video, but I'd like to warn you so you don't have a horrible experience of seeing a squirrel eaten in front of you.

Thank you, and you’re right! I actually had a close call with a squirrel and a hawk right in my backyard. It scared my death! Luckily the squirrel got away and I’m much more cautious now.

@@TamsPlace I'm glad you understood without thinking I'm criticizing your excellent video! Just giving you an idea, maybe is not applicable in your beautiful backyard, I have the luck to have a wooden area behind my fence, so I put the feeders there, I planted Bridal Wreaths around them, and put some fallen branches like in X shapes so it's almost impossible to a hawk to go and catch birds, rabbits or squirrels meanwhile they eat. Coyotes and foxes are other kind of predators that attack at ground level, so I put several branches that I cut from my shrubs, when I pruned them, the rabbits and squirrels can hide them when they are in danger. At night, I throw some apples slices and carrots to the rabbits, but I always throw them underneath shrubs or by the fence, because of the owls. I'm sorry for the negativity but these poor creatures are exposed to dangerous predators all the time.
