Heres a tip i discovered after i jacked up my spiral... i wrap a rope around my spiral topiary in the shape i need n i trim above the rope as my guide... works perfectly every time without guessing... and much faster... try it
Great job Laura, I tend to be an Edward scissors hands myself, I grew up with boxwood hedges all over my mom's property back and front. We have a huge amount of trees and hedges and small bamboo along both sides of our backyard. So that's why I've learned to trim and cut shapes out of some hedges.
That looks great!! I have an over grown Alberta Spruce topiary that also needs to be groomed back. I'm not sure how to approach it for fear of killing it.
Thanks for sharing. I would like to have seen a view from all sides, too. I have thought about making a spiral topiary from scratch and seeing all sides could be helpful. You could cut hair, great eye!
I don't know why but I have never like the topiary thing. It's so much more majestic in its natural from. You say potatoe, I say potatoe sort of thing.
