Yeah its superb 👌🏻 I have used it for wfp work to and it was so fast being short and light. Will have to call it "little cricket" from the men in black film lol small but powerful wee thing.
Thanks pal, happy to help and I know folks will enjoy this product if they give it a real go. Sometimes things take a little while to get used to if we are accustomed to something else. It is a bit on the pricy side but when you see and feel how good the carbon is and how solid its made then you think ah ok I get the price now. I will do another review in a further 12 months to see what condition they are in 😉
Aye its a bit of hassle sometimes but I do enjoy putting the video together and helping folks out. It's funny everytime I record a video, something happens to try and mess it up. In this case the customer had some kind of generator that decided to fire up while recording, and a fire engine went past blaring it's siren which never happens until of course I'm recording lol. Always something 🙄 🤣
2 of my handles do the sqeeky thing and 1 won't lock into position but they have seen alot of work so I'm not 2 upset about it the tools are game changers ..Great video as always window cleaning budda 🙏
I've been enjoying watching your video last few days following the one about which squidgy to use. I've only just bought a 4m extendable wolf garten pole with window and wiper attachments as well as the tree pruning part which as my bro is a tree surgeon and id used his 3m pole to prune with knew was sturdy, and knew if got the 4m one could reach my house gutters to clean. Im currently awaiting some unger monsoon bit as you'd rec them and is how I'd discovered your videos and the wolf one doesn't give spare cloth type changes if wanted to have spares plus it didn't look that thick. My q is do u know if the moerman liquidator and channels can be somehow cobbled onto the wolf garten click able type poles. Whilst I've not really tried them yet as been awaiting the monsoon cloth bits and been playing pruning a tree before it leafs out and birds start to nest anyway. Was wondering following on your great reviews of the moerman liquidator as squeegy which was very informative on how you do it in your 3 squugy reviews plus the day out with trad girl one and day on life where you did two houses. Im pretty excited now I've got a pole long enough for my top windows...im mid age lady so not going do ladders up there. So do you know much about wolf garten options if can use the unger multi adaptor to fit ontop of my wolf long pole or sadly have to stick with the wolf heads I have but might be able to switch the moerman channel into the wiper head option. Wolf do not do replacement cloth options or wipers change from what I can see I've already checked and it would seem that though you can screw it to left or right etc there's not much you can do with angles it would seem. Im also curious as to how often you use the razrlight detergent in bucket for doing upstairs or down type frames then using just the dish soap on the squgy head which seems a great tip. Upstairs windows not cleaned for quite a while due to being poor homeowner hard being single. Contemplating getting the moerman liquidator 14inch as my wolf stuff is 14inches so thinking with the new unger monsoon sleeves can shove them over the wiper bit at a push if get moerman liquidator as well. Id prev used an extendable spongy wiper pole combi but didn't reach next floor plus seemed too wobbly esp trying reach up from few steps on short ladder hence getting the longer wolf tree extendable pole so could use on my trees as well.
Additionally as there are not much wolf garten reviews on the window and gutter heads etc might be a great idea if you could turn your window gutter cleaning talks about what you think. I love how you explain things on how to do windows nicely you don't need music. Feeling bit inspired what with getting my wolf stuff snd your tutorials on which squidgy etc to get very window gutter spring cleaned.
Can you please send me a link to that holster situation. You have a lot going on back there and I would love to be able to have all my equipment on my belt.
@@diamondback2085 Traditional leaded light yes, but the ones I clean have lead strips glued/fixed on to a large pane of glass to give that Tudor style effect. Yuh can't use a squeegee so I have to microfiber the whole cleaning sequence.
There's not much else you can do with leaded windows if your traditionally cleaning them. One wet cloth and a dry glass cloth to polish. Other than that I would use the waterfed pole.
Kia Ora from New Zealand Pete! Awesome videos and super practical for me! Just a question, what are the gloves you are using? I use latex gloves but tend to rip a fair bit... any ideas? Thanks mate! Keep up the great vids!
Hello 👋🏻 They are nothing special, just a waterproof pair of work gloves from a builders merchant. If you type in waterproof work gloves into the likes of amazon you'll see similar ones 😉 Hope that helps All the best TM
Great video as usual. Do you still use your pole and excelerator for higher level stuff? Say a bog standard council house? Is it the Unger Nlite you use for that? Just getting started in window cleaning again after being away from it for 2 1/2 years and a bit rusty.Time to revise through the back catalogue.🖖
No you would need the proper 3.2 extension which is for the 24k pole as far as I'm aware. The carbon composite goes up to 8.6m but personally I wouldn't advise the longer length in a carbon composite as its too flexible. Personally I would only go up to the 3.2m in carbon composite and anything longer would be 24k. That way you can add extensions onto your 24k pole. Hope that makes sense!
Hi can I ask what is the part in between the adapter and the pole . I’ve looked at the poles and they don’t seem to have that end on them . Yours have some yellow parts to it as well.
Appreciate the tips, my man! What size squeegee and rubber are you using on that pole, good sir? I'm trying to get hang of my pole work to speed up the day.
Great vid Peter now I’ve got to get one of those 6” maykker tools for my phantom poles it looks a bit more precision than my hand wash mit on a cut down t washer if anything catastrophic happens to my trad pole you recommended I’ll try the 1.6 nlite I’m sold on curiosity what’s the little down sides to it?
The only real downside to these poles is some folks find they have to tighten the clamps up more often than they would like. Personally I don't find I have to do it very often but it's something that I'm sure unger are looking into. The other thing I would of liked to have seen is a shorter collapsed length of the other sizes of poles but that's my personal preference 😉
Hi Pete. I will get one of those small n lite poles for the traditional work and I do believe it is a game changer. I have to ask this question, though. I'm relatively new to window cleaning so I do bow to your superior knowledge but do really need to have all that equipment on your belt?
@@TradMan thanks for your prompt reply Pete. I'm just as guilty as having too much equipment. Sometimes I think to myself,'do I really need all this' 🙈
I've been watching your videos all day now in search of decent equipment for home use. We have 5 really large windows. We would use the Moerman excelerator + liquidator and a Unger alu t-bar. I was wondering what kind of pole fits both these tools. Would we need adapters of some sorts? There's not much info on this anywhere... Could someone help me out?
Just recently I bought Unger green rubber because of your review. And to be honest, it's more squeeky and glides worse than original blue rubber. However, I'm still training and learning so it could be my rookie technique or maybe that is because of the rubber is fresh? I'm also using Moerman Excelrator 2.0.
Without seeing how you work its not easy to say. Make sure the applicator is saturated with water. Add a thin line of dish soap to your applicator. Rub that on to the glass thoroughly then squeegee off.
@@TradMan Now after few uses I think it was combination of fresh squeegee, not enough water on the applicator and hot glass directly in the sunlight. Do you have any tips when dealing with hot glass, like using more water?
I would have to agree with you about the under pole mate. It’s night and day. Not that I’m saying the gardiner pole isn’t any good, but I bought the 24k unger pole and that angle adapter and trad adapter and it’s a quality tool and in another league. If you don’t want that fliq pad mate I’ll have it😂. I no how to stitch.
Lol I chucked it in the bin soz brotha 😅🤜🏻🤛🏻 Yeah the Unger poles have really grown on me. When I first tried it I wasn't keen but over time a got used to it and saw the difference in quality of the carbon and the strong angle adaptor that its become a great pole to work with daily. Don't get me wrong like any product it has little areas to improve but its a superb pole from Unger. Here's hoping the next thing is a super squeegee!
Just bought the excelerator and I am not impressed with the build quality. I never leave the locking lever open cos the slightest weight dropped on it will break it. The squeegee flexes as well in the locked position. When funds allow I think I'll give the Unger swivel ago. Nice concise and presented vid Peter.
Really appreciate your thoughts 😊👍🏻 I've personally had my excelerator handles for years and not broken one but your absolutely right it could use some improvement when it comes to the feel of the tool as it does have some freeplay movements. Problem being though if it's too tight then movement becomes an issue when in swivel mode or trying to change angles. The unger tool is good to, it just lacks the versatility of the moerman as it is set at one angle. 😊🤜🏻🤛🏻
The black unger rubber is either a soft or hard compound. The green is a medium compound. The green rubber is what you could say is a good all round rubber that works for most people in most conditions. Hope that helps 😉
@@TradMan thanks man, i follow your videos and i like them since i started my own bussines in mexico, the only thing that a cant find is the unger n lite carbon pole, aluminium pole 9m isnt easy to handle at high altitude, i hope to find it asap
Good video but a bit over the top with all the gear. It would take me as long to get set up with all the equipment than to actually clean the windows. Wee ladder done in half the time.
