I keep bluffing, and they keep calling. We have more in common than I thought. Enjoying the content.

If they aren't folding, then you need to focus on the exploit and bluff less. Often times we bluff too much because we play at a level higher than the opponent and expect them to make the "right" play... instead they make the wrong play, which we make the right play by overbluffing... 😜

I think your rivered AK trips could have lost a lesser pot had you bet the flop. If you bet and he calls you can check check the turn go straight to river and potentially fold if he is greedy or call off a smaller size. If he check raises you on the flop you can call and then fold to a huge turn bet or again check check the turn and go to the river. You were destined to lose that hand but you could have minimized the loss via aggression.
@MaydayAggro
@MaydayAggro Месяц назад
Also, the turn overbet was a dead giveaway. Hero does not beat any value that takes this size, especially considering villain did not 3bet preflop, meaning he likely does not have AA. Hero blocks very little value and blocks the most likely bluffs (Axss). This should be a fold.

kdog do you have any favorite poker books? Your style of play really matches how I want to be able to play poker.
@KDogPoker

I’ve never read a book but I’d recommend poker vlogs and maybe some content by Jonathan Little or Bart Hanson. All free here on RU-vid. But at the end of the day the only way to really learn is through playing and learning from mistakes.

Quick question, I saw you tipped $2 on $1460 pot. I also see lexpoker tip $1 chips a lot. Is this proper tipping etiquette ?
@KDogPoker

Eh idk it’s up to you really I usually tip $1 and $2 for bigger pots maybe 5 or 10 if it’s a really big hand

tipping is like rake - it can really cut into win rate. We need to be fair to the dealers, but just because the pot is big doesn't mean you need to tip big. You've lost big pots too. I tip well because I'm a casual player and I like tipping, but yes, $1 to $2 a hand is just fine.

Poker is a hard game to beat anywhere you play. But there is pretty much no doubt Texas has the softest games in the country. Especially the Dallas Fort Worth area. Just sayin

Suited Kings are great hands. I always laugh at the fools who think only play suited Aces. I stacked a guy with K5d when flop comes out King with 2 diamonds then improved to flush on river. Dude was clowning me for playing that hand lol.

@@KDogPoker yes you can.. the ONLY bluffs you should make are small ones on the river for like $50-60 bucks when you are certain your opponent misses their draw and can't call down with Q high or whatever they have .. people will call with third pair all day 🤦
@gavinstrelitz1558
@gavinstrelitz1558 2 месяца назад
You need to keep the bluffs in, balances you out. That’s why you get paid on big hands. You’ll also need this at the higher stakes where you’ll be up against better players
@MaydayAggro

AJ: First good river bluff I have seen in your vlog. AQ: 550 is not a big bet into 790. 1500 is a big bet. Bluff choice I think was fine, but bet sizing was too small imo. A5dd: In a hand with a guy who wants to put all the money in, and you oblige. The only reason to raise a naked flush draw is for the fold equity. This was bad.
