Thanks. I don’t know much about wiring and was trying to find a video and couldn’t. So when I wired mine I thought it could be helpful. Glad it helped. Thanks for watching 👍
I have a 4 amp charger. The battery last me a long time. I can do a lot with it before needing to charge. I always charge overnight before a job though so I know I’m good to go.
Not sure what kinda wires come with it but my brand new pump worked for half a job and now I've got 0 electrical current. My battery is charged but no sparks at all. Not sure if something got wet or what but now I can't work 🙃
I’m not sure. It sounds like a bad pump to me. My last pump I had wouldn’t pull like the others I had before, and I had electrical problems non stop. When I swapped out the pump with a new one I haven’t had any issues.
Thanks for taking out time to make this video explanation. Have you had any trouble since the uploading of this vid electrically speaking? Or anything you would have done differently?
Thanks I wanted to make a video that I couldn’t find to help me. No I really haven’t. Not one electrical issue. I moved things around on my skid this year, but the pump is still great. Only thing I’d do different is the actual wire. I got some stuff off of Amazon. The wire you can get at AutoZone is thicker. I liked it better.
@@jonboysprowash7845 thats great to hear ! Appreciate the information and the reply... glad all worked out.. im currently researching how to set up a couple pumps and came across your video
@@josephjohnson2114 This was my first Everflo pump so I can’t say. I think it shoots further than my Pressuretek pump did. I get a lot of distance out of it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you did nothing for the wires efficiency.... Replacing half the harness's lines with thicker gauge wont do anything if you still have those crappy 16 gauge wires coming out of the unit. You haven't removed the weak point with the weak wires, you simply added thicker wires at the end. Right?
I have seen guys not change the size and get the plug in style on off switches like at Rural King and they work for them. If 12 is what you have I’d use it. Just make sure you have a good fuse like a 30. I ordered cheap wire from Amazon in this video, but the last wiring I did I got some better stuff from Auto Zone and I liked it.
@@jonboysprowash7845 ok yeah I have a 12 awg wire harness with a 20 amp fuse and on/off switch. I'll upgrade the fuse to 30. I've already upgraded the one that comes with the pump it had a 20 amp fuse i put a 30. Thanks hopefully It don't give me a hard time. I do have the wiring and switch with crimps. Just in case but forgot I had that 12 awg harness.
@@abautomotivedetail6315 I have wanted to try the plug in style just to see how long it would last or if there would be an issue. I think the fuse has a lot to do with it. Let me know how it works.
@@jonboysprowash7845 absolutely. well now I have a bit of a problem. I believe the thread on the pump was over tighten and I've cracked the head of the pump :/
