Luigi's Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) has a mission structure that many people love, and many people hate... I fall into the latter category... So today, I try to adjust the original game's mission structure to be less intrusive.

I personally like the mission structure, not just because this game is my childhood but given the current landscape of gaming and how everything is open world and you have to pour hours and hours into a game just to get something done. The idea of playing a game in bit size session (especially as an adult who doesn't have as much time as he did for gaming) sounds like a concept long forgotten and would love noting more than to have back

I like the mission structure, but I wish you could stay in the mansion and E Gadd could call you to give you your next task, sorta like the Mario 64 PC port.

I like the idea of future missions being foreshadowed before you do them. It also should be an option to go back rather than having to be forced to.

I wouldn't change it, the mission structure is the one thing that makes it my favorite 1 was just to confusing, and 3 was to easy 2's my favorite, it's perfect for me

I agree it doesn't need changing. I like how you don't see everything happening. And especially how level by level the webs slowly get worse and worse intill a-5.

@@Springtime562 the problem that I have with 1 and 3 is their level design 1's just so confusing and took me so long to beat (i played the 3DS remake) and 3 feels just way to easy and slightly worse and 2's Level design fits with the mission structure so perfectly, sure it's not the best thing ever, but I rather take it over to much freedom and confussion

Some of these merges make a lot of sense, I think the haunted towers ones are definitely the most logical, as well as the gloomy manor. I feel like the treacherous mansion's missions are too dissimilar to really do a good job of merging them without really changing how some of them play - E3 and E4 combined would put two mini-bosses in the same mission, which might be too hard for younger players to complete. Overall though, I definitely agree that some of the earlier mansions could benefit from some reworking or merging of missions.

I feel like if you were to merge missions, it would kinda break the pacing that the 3DS version had with each mission being around the same length, but I can’t deny that this would be cool

b4 and b5 can't go together since when u go up to the pool party u cannot go back down

I love this game, but IT IS SOOOO ANNOYING AT TIMES, it took me like 30 hours just to get 3 stars on everything.

Sounds like a pretty good way to do the missions. Bit of an odd question, but how would you restructure the floors in Luigi's mansion 3 so they feel more interconnected? Maybe the floors fused together, so there's larger but fewer. For example, 6, 9, 10, and 12 as a single museum floor.
