i dont like driving on the autobahn not because its loud or i hear to much wind that i kinda like i dont like the idea of being at 4k rpm for 1 or 2 hours straight
@@5TINKYMX5 Thanks for responding! I really been considering doing fender mirrors on my next car and wondered if it was actually practical or just for show.
@@datsunracer9378 if you do a lot of highway driving they help a TON. on my 16 elantra and 93 celica its a little bit different because of how forward the mirrors are but on the miata its hard to look basically over your shoulder and look in front of you at the same time haha
@@5TINKYMX5 i got a 6 speed swap in my na and the 6th gear is the same ratio as a 5 speed, it’s the final drive (differential) is different between the na and nb2. So I’m still chilling 4K 80mph lol
@@Tacojoint interesting. i was considering either a diff gearing swap or a 6spd swap just for the final drive, but they do make final drive gears for both the 5 and 6spd so when i get a house ill look more into that. i heard that the 6spd brings the rpms down like 500 on the highway which is weird
solution to high rpms: buy a longer diff buy shorter 1st-3/4th gears understandably, this can be expensive, so google long 5th gear for na miata or something or head over to a local junkyard and steal a longer 5th out of some random transmission lying around
You guys are comparing a tiny little 1.6 liter engine to larger engines. That is why RPMs are higher...its working harder than your 2.6l or 4.0 liter engine.
6 speed NA Miata gearbox is actually worse than 5 speed on highway revs wise. U shouldn’t be in that rev range. Drive a real Japanese market NA6CE that is 115hp not 90.
