As an Englishman that’s tailgated with many Germans that travelled to Wembley for games over the years I really can’t express enough how happy I am for you! I’m keen to see how the support show’s different. Having seen football (soccer) games in Munich, Dortmund & Hamburg there’s a remarkable difference in the way the crowd behaves. Very often an English crowd can mimic the momentum of play in its volume, leading to what could possibly seem to the players as quiet disinterest… this is certainly not the case… However… I look forward to these two teams being rewarded with what I believe with be a raucous reception from start to finish. Munich: LFG! 🙌❤️

it's kind of bonkers honestly that this game isn't counted as a home game for Seattle... they were the team that arrived in Munich early and fraternized with the locals, the Bucs barely showed up the night before the game in time for some social media posts and a nightcap. the Seahawks are highly celebrated and themselves highly celebrate the culture they're entering but somehow it's an away game for them

The ignorance of these people (the commentators) amazes me it’s an insult to the host country to refer to their traditional clothes as a “whatever German guy” then they go and offend English fans because they are cheering a punt. Bruh they are having fun let them be. I love football I’m a Seahawks and Bayern Munich fan. But as an American I’m embarrassed of these type of people showing their ignorance to the world. with the ticket prices being what they are, I doubt anyone that isn't a superfan of the sport would even consider attending the event. never mind the traveling some people do to get to Bavaria to begin with. it's not super accessible for most of the nation and the commitment from so many to attend regardless is impressive!

American football rules are so complex it is almost like learning a language or culture. An NFL ref said a few years that there is not a single nfl ref who perfectly knows the NFL rule book. That’s crazy. There used to be an ongoing challenge called “You Make the Call” where a difficult rules situation would be presented and fans would try to “make the call” of what the actual rule was. As an avid fan since childhood, I usually got it wrong.

Bledsoe had a 5 - 13 record, under Belichick in 2000 and 2001. That's the reason .... WHY he was replaced. Brady was just better, and much, much better in the clutch (which is why that same team went 14 - 3 with Brady, and won the Super Bowl).

most Germans aren't following the World Cup this year because of the human rights abuses in Qatar... It's really only the complete nutcases that are still going to care about it. We also usually do beer garden viewing outdoors because it's in the summer so many people just won't care in the winter either way. Might as well watch football then :)

The comment about cheering for punts at the UK games is greatly exaggerating things - there’s variety in the fans for obvious reasons - and the games have got a very family friendly reputation so a lot of kids are at the games. There’s definitely an audience of smart fans here that you’ll often find at those games and in the bars around London when they are on

I don’t really like the international games, they’re a stolen home game for a team and the fans…let alone “really important game.” And I can’t figure out what the real plan is for the NFL cause a euro league has existed and didn’t succeed, and even if there is interest to watch there’s too many practical issues to overcome to actually have a euro division or conference.

@@whataboutrob442 Different reasons for different people. Either you like a city (because you've been there on holiday for example), or you like the team colors (no joke! Seahawks are up there 😃), or you like one particular player at one time and you "stay on the team" even when he retires, or you change the team with the player when he gets traded etc. But I think also a lot of people pick teams because of their popularity - like you picked Bayern München 😉.
