The number one rule on ordering hotel in Indonesia from any app is to NEVER order OYO hotel. I have so many bad experiences with OYO from overbookings that require weeks to get a refund, dirty rooms, hotel staff asking more money and etc. And I'm Indonesian btw.

OMG, that's 8 hours in economy class.. 😅😅. I prefer executive class since executive has better seats, better leg room, and stop less so it can be faster too..

when we decide to try anything cheaper, mean we have to adjust our mind set level little bit lower. In this economic situation, don't expect more until we really got it.

so funny. that "granola in spicy teriyaki sauce" is actually tempe. same main ingredient but cooked differently from the tempe mendoan. if you're on budget you should also consider taking the intercity buses. some bus operators here offer much better experience than economy train (with similar price)..

Whoops you got the "bad" coach there. There's "premium class" which is more comfortable. I suggest to get the executive class next time if you want a comfortable ride.

5:45 try open the door and you'll get kicked out in the nearby station (this is fr) lmao. Indonesian train is pretty strict when it comes to safety and other rules. there are cases where people get kicked out (and even permanently banned from using train service) because they violate the rules.

You know what, in the Indonesian proverb, If you stop bubbling and cooperating with the situation then you get happiness, probably because of complaining about the train toilet and you don't get a hostel room, so be nice on the trip you can be ok

I thought you never check others tourist review about hotel or the train before. The wise and smart ways always check the review from foreigner for the cheap but clean and comfy hotel.

As Indonesian i don't even want to get economy class, i prefer to take an executive, you can get A lot of benefit, more comfortable.

sorry to hear about the hotel. Personally, i'd rather choose guesthouse. But anyway, what could we expect from $6 hostel/hotel? i think people in jogja should learn more english , especially for those working in hospitality field. Since many foreigner come to jogja.... 7:51 that is also tempe but it came with sweet soy bean sauce (kecap manis). 16:46 Tempe mendoan is more chewy coz they use thicker flour to fry it... but there is another variant of fried tempe that is more crispy 15:00 cireng came from west java.. people eat it with with spicy sauce, becoz it has no flavor, it is only gluten gluten and gluten, LOL.. not healthy. If you come to west java , there are 4 similar snacks cireng cimol cilok, cilor, all gluten.. cireng is a fried one.
