How is the Tata Nexon made? | Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Plant | Megafactories | evo India

Spanning 460 acres, this plant was acquired by Tata Motors from Ford India on January 10, 2023. Now operated by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, it was re-tooled in just 12 months. Transitioning from the production of the Ford Figo and Aspire to Tata Nexon ICE and EV models, the change has been both rapid and remarkable. This facility is Tata Motors' second in Gujarat and is capable of producing four different platforms simultaneously.
The first ICE Nexon rolled off the assembly line here in January 2024. By April, the plant had begun producing the Nexon EV, ramping up production to meet the surging demand. Currently, the facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 vehicles annually, with the potential to expand up to 420,000. We have had 3 Tata Vehicles. Flawless products. And, extremely helpful service. My sister had an accident while I was out of town. The service centre went out of their way to go and help her. Tow the Nexon. Facilitate repair, insurance claim and delivery. It was better than expected.

I don't think those robots that stamp metal into body parts work 'precisely' at all. The uneven panel gaps in a same car is a proof of that. Also, it's inspection and quality control at each section is required, as Tatas are prone to all sorts of issues from metal corrosion to electronic failures. A final QC may never be able to check them all. Thanks for the video. Now we atleast know, where Tata is cutting corners.

Instead of focusing on their QC, Reliability and After sales service etc they are busy at playing politics and opposing the tax cut on hybrid cars which was proposed by Japanese manufacturers to the government. Remember, Hybrid cars are the future not EVs..Soon we will see a lot of Evs stockyards because the majority of people aren't even considering it as their primary vehicle..due to problems like range anxiety, zero resale,very less charging infrastructure etc

Final QC check is mess. I have Creative + , there are so many bugs in software, uneven panel gaps in bonnet, alignment issues & bugs in MID. Not sure how do they even pass QC?

Where is the QC department, tata motors need more quality people in Quality department. Already facing lot of niggling and quality issues in my tata altroz dca. Parts like viper stalks, horn, dash oard panels, fuel filler cap assembly, rear parcel tray etc, are getting replaced one by one , additionally joint at of roof and C pillar needed to be welded seperately for a clanking noise. Feel like moving to consumer court now for this 8 months old problematic car. My 4yr old nios amt is far better than this scrap.

😂 exactly cheapest cheapest bol ke QC ka department nahi hai. I will never buy a tata car, currently own nexon petrol version. 3rd class vehicle in terms of quality. Cant be fooled again in the name of vocal for local and safety . Definately buying a European car for above 12 lakhs 😅

Few design change needs to be reviewed. For cleaning, replacement of ac coil full dashboard has to be removed. New innovative design has to be implemented to solve this issue

After owning a tata car as 2nd car in the family. I am staying away from it forever 😂😅 such a poor quality cc . Please tata owner look at the frame of the car, it made of circular pipe 😲 with ends open 😅 so that the water can go in and provide cooling for the car. On a serious note those type of circular pipe is used in commercial vehicle like Force Cruiser 😂.

The only reason I haven't bought an EV yet is TATA MOTORS. I am really afraid of its QC. Other manufacturers are charging hefty amount of money for EVs. Hence, EVs sales are not picking up as they should.

Hybrid battery costs 2L, Tata is able to sell 15L EV because gearbox and engine is removed Even in Thailand which has subsidy for hybrid, the cheapest Toyota hybrid is ₹23lakh or 1million baht

TM is just for looks and safety. Quality is detorating. I have a Tigor, went with it due to some emotions attached to Indian brand. Apart from quality issues, service is pathetic. Just not blaming the brand, but our hard earned money goes in it. TM should hear the feedback of customers. Thanks evo for showing the standards of TM, but service folks doesn't have this level of standard to fix the basic issues...

Not so good inspection even though they have a fantastic plant the workers and the management there are inefficient and the result is the customers feedback Sorry TATA I always wanted to buy atleast one Indian brand car but never felt secure and reliable until now Hope future generations buy your cars not by the hype you create but by the quality, consistency and reliability you provide! All the best copycat😉(for now)

New Punch EV LR broke down twice on highway and twice near home within a week and less than 570km with Battery issue, currently in service centre. Please avoid Tata Motors Cars as their quality control is abysmal. Please don't be scapegoats and lose your hard earned money and mental peace.

Owner of nexon xz from past 6 years... Reliability is at it's peak with my car... Service is subjective to their choice of dealership... Let me tell you one thing.. Rusting takes place is you wash your car with bore water.. It should be done only at washing centres

😂i thought i am the only one complaining about it. I am so surprised when ever i talked of this on social media platforms people attack 😅 without with harsh comments 😠 without owning the brand. Never would i suggest anyone to buy tata in my family or to my circle. For 12 lks better to get a European brand car . Fit and finish is like day & night. Just because Indian brand cannot forgive them for safety and local . Bought ...driven ...seen the quality....now done ....
