So based on this, we can see that the shape of said bun or the innards that lie within have nothing to do with it. Chicken, turkey, pork, and fish burgers are a thing and are beloved by many! So meat isn't the issue. Cooking it isn't different either because you do the same with a grilled cheese sandwich. A BURGER IS JUST A ROUND SANDWICH CLEVERLY DISGUISED IN PREPARATION. 1, a sandwich 2 pieces of bread with content in the middle is my own definition of a sandwich. Sandwich is almost an umbrella term, meaning there is no real definition as to what a sandwich really is, there's so many types and sub categories of sandwiches in the end the line between sandwich and not sandwich is extremely blurry. Maybe we're sandwiches, a mix of bones tissue and organs in-between skin. Sandwiches are surprisingly poetic.

sandwich can be a classification and a name as well, while a sandwich like pb&j's or ham sandwiches are more familiar, burgers and sanwiches have one thing in common. top and bottom bum, with open sides and ingredients in the middle, with meat, cheese, condiments of your choosing, heck maybe even some pickles and onions, maybe lettuce. So the food sandwich can be many forms, but in my opinion, the sandwich classification consists of sandwiches (ham and pb&j, etc.) as well as burgers. Burger is the name of the food, but sandwich is the classification. At least in my opinion.
