It's like popping off the lid of those potato chips...It's one of those Laws of Nature that governs over the whole of the universe. @8:15 - Regardless of what LP says, the main reason why Engie ran right outside of his Spy's hiding spot is because of movement speed; TF2 players (& pretty much every FPS player also) are well aware that your speed of movement is probably the single most deciding factor on whether you live or die...Every time you brush up against a stationary obstacle, your speed is reduced for that time & that alone could be what kills you. So, Engie was making sure to maintain his full speed by keeping some space between himself & the obstacle. The clip @ 15:24 - A Team Kill from ambush = The Spy's Joygasm! Oh, so you lust after TF2 content, Makari? I've looked through your channel listings & haven't mentioned any of the videos that you've already reacted to, of course. --Crash Maul: The Rise Of The Epic Scout series - The Rise Of The Epic Scout; Meet The Rabid Heavy Taming Engineer; The Fight For Sawmill; Like White On Spy (it doesn't seem as if Crash Maul if finished with the series yet). --The Winglet: The Fedora Chronicles series - The Fedora Chronicles-Operation 2Fort; The Bolted Behemoth; Burning Through Space-parts 1 & 2 (something of a tangential story mostly featuring Pyro but still ties into the series); Live & Let Spy; The Red; The Blue, & the Ugly. Also did Overwatch vs TF2 parts 1 & 2. --Misan: If you'd like a bit more of Pyro, this non-canon 1-minute clip (it's short enough that it should be pretty easy to combine it with another TF2 video as "2-for-1 deal") sort of explains why the Mercs in the Meet The Pyro video don't think that Pyro is even human...Heavy describing Pyro as a "thing," Scout referring to him as a "freak," & even Spy ascribes "inhuman thoughts" with Pyro. This is, by no means, an exhaustive list but it's enough to keep you busy for a while. 😉

There are exactly two kinds of moments when playing Spy: - the rare, elusive, priceless *"I am a sneaky undetectable god of death and snort-laughter!"* moments - the *"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"* moments when you turn a corner right into the enemy Pyro, or trip over your own feet and fall face first into a crocket Expect there to be a *lot* more of the latter.

Yeah, do more of those, please! Also please, do revert a few seconds back each time after you pause (by pressing left on your keyboard for example), since those videos are densely packed and carefully timed.

If you do end up watching the other How it Feels videos, you should also watch the extra videos. They usually cover points that Lazy didn't talk about in the original How it Feels vid, as well as little behind-the-scenes bits, like his ongoing struggles with SFM or jokes he ended up cutting.

He does some good vids. Also a fun thing to do as a spy is to go invis with the default watch and get on top of the engineer's dispenser and drain them of the metal and ammo. When they leave to get more, simply sap their turret they have built then go back invis on top of the dispencer. Was fun to watch engineers freak out while playing.

I definitely think you should watch them all. I'd recommend watching them in release order, but any order works honestly. He's made a video for every single class except the medic which he's been working on for a while now. Who knows, maybe by the time you see them all he'll have released it. Regardless, hope you enjoy them! Also, another video I'd recommend is "The Story of TF2's Strangest Player" by elmaxo. It's a great (and weirdly motivational) story about some random dude just having fun doing silly things on TF2. I can't say much without revealing anything, but it's a great watch honestly. Anyways, all that aside, keep doing what you're doing. I love your energy!

Ah the Spy, A good spy is the kinda enemy im so frustrated and wanna kill it horribly but at the same time i respect from how much damage they can do

Always watch a series from episode one in chronological release order. More often than not when it’s a series, there are things you will completely miss if you watch them out of order. Luckily, in this case, how it feels to play, spy is the first video in the how it feels to play TF2 series.

The Series is not complete. Medic was never finished, but there’s a good tho not advertiser friendly parody of „how it feels to play medic“. Also Lazypurple thinks it’s view stealing / double dipping but who knows if he’s even alive and online since the demo and sniper ones.

That "hide right next to a thing" technique has an actually explanation. Gaijin Goombah did a vid on Spy for his Which Ninja series and he used Lazy's clip to talk about the psychology that the technique exploits.

I think since you have familiarity with the game, you’re in a position to appreciate the “how it feels” series quite a bit. It’s a great collection that’s had a ton of work put into it.

So, story time for my part I was playing spy And I happened to notice a new player There's one thing that I shouldn't have done and I did it. I went 48 - 0 on this poor new player. I made them question if anyone in their team wasn't a spy.

Dieing to a spy is the most infuriating thing in the game. But I also respect every person that is good at it because the spy has a lot of weaknesses that good players know to exploit. So it is a constant battle between the enemy team and the spy to outsmart eachother as well as a good amount of luck for hiding after a kill.

This for me started as, "yeah, spy is great" and switched to "darn spy main"

Please god watch these in order. Including the behind the scenes videos. They're made to be watched in order and the behind the scenes videos are very informarive and give you newfound appreciation for these videos.

Oh no, nononono. Just about every class in TF2 (Except maybe Heavy) has a skill ceiling that is astronomically high to explore. Soldier is probably the best example of "Just how much bullshit can I get away with?" That still doesn't have an exact answer and likely never will.

2:39 That's lie. I say all classses but Heavy have this type of feeling when you get good with them. Scout with his mobility with his default mobility and high risk, high reward gameplay loob. Soldier with his mobility thanks to rocket jumping. Pyro with air blast and his combos thanks to secondaries and melees. Engineer with stop being so dependent on your buildings, playing more aggressively on your own while also moving your buildings to be more agressive instead of defensive passive. Medic with his crossbolts. Sniper with his headshots. And Spy being Spy.
