Dynamis (Greek δῠ́νᾰμῐς) is an Ancient Greek word that means power, might, strength.
DYNAMIS JEWELRY was founded in 2015 by a ukrainian family in Canada (BC). But everything started even sooner back in Ukraine when the head of this family (a newly married young man) learnt some new skills from a professional jeweler. Since then this type of craftsmanship became his hobby and passion. He started soldering first copper and then silver at home on the windowsill. The first customers where friends and family members :)
Everything changed after moving to Canada. We decided to open our Etsy shop. In a few years Dynamis Jewelry RU-vid channel was created and only in May 2020 we came to the point where we opened our own website and here you are :) If you are looking for a perfect and everlasting masterpiece, you’ll be able to find it here.
We are definitely one of the best in crafting high quality sterling silver jewelry!
Like and Subscribe! Enjoy!:)
Thanks!

@jasonsexton8869
@jasonsexton8869 Год назад
@@E66878 It can be done without thousands of dollars in tools. You'll still be putting a few hundred in, but it can be done. You can source the wire from a jewelry supply store rather than make it yourself. You'll also notice he used a hobby torch to solder the rings. A slightly bigger map gas or propane torch from the hardware store will run you about 40 dollars and will work just fine for this and annealing the silver as it work hardens. As for cleaning, a thrift store slow cooker or electric hot plate and a ceramic dish can be used for pickling. For drawing the rings and reducing size/compacting the chain, you can buy a couple off-cuts of a good hardwood at your local lowes/home depot/whichever is the local store in question, glue them together and drill a series of graduated holes in the resulting block to form a draw plate, then use a pair of pliers to pull it through. While expensive tools sometimes make things easier, simple and cheap do the job just as well at a fraction of the cost. Where I got this information: nineteen years of working with wire making chainmail as a hobby, twelve of metal smithing and jewelry making as a hobby, and six of leatherworking. When possible, I make the tools I need to do the job, and when I can't I go with what works, not what is shiny and expensive as a rule. Most expensive tool I've bought for my hobbies is a toss-up between a relatively cheap home depot drill press and a flexshaft. I hope this helps you out if you have an interest in this as a hobby 😁

I used to make jewelry. Until my hands got too bad. It is a lot of work. The design phase alone is time consuming. People don't understand all the work, planning and modifying to get all the tiny pieces to fit and be symmetrical or the proper gage. That's when it turns into a piece of art. They don't want to pay for all the work. I don't fault them they don't understand what it entails.

I happened to stumble upon this when searching for the show "how things are made". I admire artists' work such as yours (makes me appreciate the hard work all that much more). Loved seeing it from raw form to almost finished (no clasp, didn't realize you sold them too, nice!) Too many specialized tools for me to consider trying. I'll stick with crafting with paper, yarn, and wood for now....someday metal :) Few key things I was reminded/learned more about are flux, annealing, blackened, pickling (googled what's in it) and there is a difference in "fine" and "sterling" silver. Most excited is you have them for sale! Great gift, and including a link to this video is an added value.

@Ken_Dalton
@Ken_Dalton 2 года назад
I really doubt it, this man is an expert skill level for making chains, Iv followed him for years so I'm sure he is aware or such issues and as jewelers we try not to let ring claws catch on clothes by having no gaps between the claws and a set stone, it's the same with this the wire looks very nice and tight that won't allow your hair to get caught😉... Not unless u are like king Kong hairy then u may have problems ! Haha just joking. I highly recommend this man's chains, he is next level and and very inspiring, I'm glad this is a lesson bccoz it's certainly one I'd like to try myself✌🏼
