I haven't listened yet, but I've heard the speculations. Just kinda dawned on me that having JJ be the coach (a media personality and high IQ ex NBA Player) is actually kind of a power move regardless of the chemistry between him and Lebron. Even just for the rest of the team, it allows them to have a "leader" on camera to take the media pressure off of them and let them focus more on the playing side compared to the business side. That would be a big deal for any middle of the pack team, but when you account for the fact that teams like the Lakers and Knicks get the most scrutiny it's an even bigger deal to put a recognizable face that can handle the attention in front of those brands. From a fan and locker room pressure perspective, it seems like a genius play.

JJ Reddick is very smart. I think he'll make a great coach but this team really needs a true big man. Someone who will compete with Jokic at least a little. And don't let MPJ look like an All Pro. They’ll be fine

Turn Russell and Reaves into gymrats to the point where the only way you can stop them from (consistently) draining shots is by taking them out of the game. Most importantly, stay healthy. And should they come up against Denver in the Playoffs, use all 18 fouls against Jokic, not to injure, but to wear him down.
