Giants fan since the 80s... had many many stretches of years of bad baseball before that 2010-2014 stretch. Stay strong and stick with it. Every team has their time come eventually. When your Angels do win it all one day you will feel a million times more happy because you stayed with your team in the worst of times too.
Man, what an incredible watch. When Jake started talking about balancing everything while supporting his wife through cancer, that hit home. Just did the same thing with my mother this Summer. Keep crushing, fellas
@@realbkrick the MLB advertises Ohtani, not baseball. That’s the problem. They’re putting up a graphic for when Ohtani is going to be at bat for fucks sake. There’s 8 other batters on the team who have just as much of a chance to hit the ball. They care more about pushing one guy then pushing the sport
49:40 hearing jake talk about "you should lose baseball" really resonates with my journey as a fan. i didn't have time for bad phillies teams when i was in college, but when i started get my grad school load down to 9-5 coincided perfectly with the 2022 season. finding jomboy media last year was definitely helpful in me getting back into baseball as whole to almost the same extent when i was a 13 year old watching roy halladay with too much time on my hands.
Justin Su’a is an amazing human being. When I was in high school, he was my teacher for a seminary class. He was so humble but yet so fun and the coolest teacher. He had a huge impact on my life and it’s cool to see him doing this podcast.
Agree. That’s what makes Jomboy media worlds upon worlds better than something like Barstool, which is gross, frat boy trash. As a woman who lives and breathes sports, where so many sports adjacent spaces are so misogynistic and awful, I love Jomboy Media for the reasons you said :)
I too appreciate this. Not only girls in sports, but their discussions in general. He once stopped the Mornin’ live stream once to call out block some idiot who called me an “aging bitch d*ke” for an opinion I offered. I was so appreciative of him doing that.
I couldn't be prouder for how you guys have grown the idea into a company. Following on twitter in 2017 until now has been a fun journey to witness. The Bronx office, the billboard, the Manhattan office and being on YES network was so eye opening for me. Driving my husband crazy with talking about you guys for years that at fanatic-fest he went to take a picture with jomboy. Love you guys!!!
This guy taught me cricket and now im a cricket fan an absolute fun sport to watch and recently my kids wanted to play cricket after watching the bluey kid show im happy i could teach them some rules of the game all thanks to jomboy and his videos…keep doing more of it Jo!!
Baseball fan from the UK here and I'll be honest and say if it wasn't for Jomboy, my knowledge and passion for baseball would be nowhere near what it would be without them! Just great to see some regular dudes follow their passion and make a crazy success of it all!
I love these guys as much as you can someone outside your family that you don’t know. Great content and just so likable. Love hearing how they did what they do!
Awesome episode!! Jomboy is so fun to watch, love seeing how far he's come, very talented. Unique voice, recognizable anywhere, all pluses. Love the variety of your videos Diggin' Deep, thanks 😎
49:20 is so real. As someone who’s been in college and then spent summers in remote places without cable, baseball definitely took more of a backseat, because it wasn’t convenient to watch anymore. And that is as an orioles fan who grew up with bad seasons, and finally had something fun to follow. This season I had opportunities to get back into it, and in combo with various jomboy stuff I feel more into it than I ever did.
Die hard Mets fan: i used to always see Jomboy videos and around the last WBC i ended up following them and they (along with Jolly and Shea Station) have helped reinvigorate my love for baseball. They have such great analysis and perspective, and they seem like such great people. Love em
I found them thru the original talkin baseball live streams in the playoffs. They were so much more invested and entertaining than the TV networks. And still are
Fun watching this episode because Eric Hosmer and the Omaha Royals/ Stormchasers is what got me into the game of baseball being from Nebraska. And then Talkin Yanks and Jomboy Media reinvigorated my love for the game now that I’m in my 20s
Went from subscribing to Talking Yanks to quickly adding Talking Baseball, Baseball Today, and Wake and Jake. Jomboy media gets me an amped and playful mood.
I would credit Jomboy Media and Foolish Baseball with getting me back into baseball. Like Jake mentioned I stopped following MLB when I was in my early twenties then I started watching Breakdowns and Baseball Bits. I don't watch a lot of TV or have subscriptions to streaming apps so I rely on Instagram and RU-vid to follow now. Also, Guts and Super Seducer are my favorite Jomboy video series.
Man it's been awesome to see them grow over the years. Go work fellas! They hit the nail on the head with social media. I use to go to the website to watch Phillies highlights but life got to busy. So I'd just check the scores. Now I can easily see any win and their highlights on the Phillies channel or go to the main MLB. It's fantastic especially if I can't catch the game on the radio.
I found talkin baseball on Apple Podcasts very close to the beginning. I was looking for fantasy baseball insight. What I found was so much more special. Been a diehard Jomboy faithful ever since. Your trajectory has been fulfilling from a fan standpoint; I’m happy you guys are finding your well deserved success.
im here only for jomboy i always wanted to learn about cricket 🏏 but Jomboy did it for me now I'm his biggest fan! I absolutely love his cricket videos. and the breakdowns make the game so much more fun and easy to understand. Keep up the awesome work mate❤
Awesome work that this two guys have done! you learn from it and you just see what you don’t watch from a actual game in tv. Such an inspiration the hard work that they have put in their dreams!
This is so good! I recently started really getting into jomboy earlier this year (would watch it occasionally but now almost everyday I watch them) congrats!
As an Australian 🇦🇺 sports fan it’s just awesome work that Jomboy does. I found them during the Cricket World Cup, no longer listen to the dusty old coat’s commentary. Been following MLB for years but these guys have pulled me through in knowledge of the game at light speed .
One of my favorite things about Jomboy media is when they play Geoguesser in the off season. Also, please never turn into Foul Territory...that channel is the absolute worst 🤮
I like how Jimmy pushed conspiracies about the Astros and never apologized when it was provably false and Altuve endured the harassment because Jimmy said he deserved it.
@@Riley.a_Music But when it was proven to be false after he pushed it as legitimate for the entirety of the scandal unfolding, that's conspiracy. You lose the ability to say speculation when because of him spreading it to his audience as fact when it's not, that goes far beyond speculating. He knew what he did because he wanted to justify his teams failure in that 2017 postseason.
Does this bozo not realize a former player on the team coming out and saying they cheated is what made the whole story public, not jimmy covering it on RU-vid lol
