I attempted to do this with my husband's ex-wife since I met him well after their divorce.. But she wanted trouble and drama. This only works when the ex is content and happy, like Babyface. If the ex is miserable and bitter, it's a no-go.

@@teafoster5643 All I can do is keep distance and focus on making sure the children are okay. I put prayer in place and it's in God's hands. I think the underlying issue is she's not happy & doesn't want peace. The best one can do in those cases is to move on. So I left her sitting in 2014 when she stated she was done with the "nice act".

This right here is soooo beautiful! No screaming and cursing....no tell-all books regarding their history of hurtful things that happened in the past....simply thinking about the well being of their children and each other over everything. I have a newfound respect for Babyface, Tracey and Deion Sanders. I wish they would air this on every channel because this is a prime example of being a good parent and a mature adult! I literally have tears in my eyes to see this. I will be watching the full episode!

I think that this was the most classiest OWN preview I have ever seen. Mr. Edmunds and Mr. Sanders are two of the most up standing men so far, and I hope this video sets the tone for more grown up dialog. The next generation is counting on us to conduct ourselves this way with regards to each other. It doesn't matter where we come from we need to treat each other with respect. No more drama. Babyface is a natural healer. He exudes spiritual peace and maturity. I’m 37 and loved him really since I was first introduced to music because his music has been around pretty much all of my life. Wow What a beautiful thing to do. I love it that Deion chose not to meet the children until he meet and have one on one Conversation with Tracy's Ex Husband better known as Baby-Face. What really blew me away is how they had upmost respect for each other when they talked. Happy Baby-Face and Tracy remain close for the sake of their children and can talk like real friends and not ex's. God Bless them.

This can only happen when EVERYONE is mature and puts their ego to the side. It may have something to do with their age. No one is trying to one-up anybody. Everyone seems to be comfortable and content with who they are. That's why Deon can give Babyface a sincere compliment, because he's secure in who HE is. Good stuff.

Many years ago, I read a short news story, where a judge, (African, don't know which country) was admonishing parents to stop fighting over their children. He said, "When the big elephants fight, it is the tender young blades of grass that get trampled." I clipped that out and stashed it in my wallet. That helped me when at times I was so angry with my ex I wanted to just trash him, and make everybody else feel towards him how I did, and I'd think on that, and it helped me hold my tongue.

I don't see the problem. My ex is my ex for a reason. I'm moving on and I hope she is happy and moving on as well. Why do we have to be enemies because we are not together anymore? No need to, we can still be friends for life.
