For everybody asking if Duolingo works, it can. But you can't rely solely on five minute lessons a day. You have to be willing to write down the words and study them later on things like Quizlet. It probably won't make you fluent, but it'll be a great start.

Duolingo is a very good language learning platform, and it’s Spanish is one of the best and most used. When and if you complete all of the Spanish course you will speak a really good amount of Spanish, but not all. I’m so used to learning via reading writing and practicing grammar but when listening and completely immersed it’s completely different. There’s also so many cultural differences that you notice and appreciate. Like les bisous ( giving kisses on each cheek upon meeting. Some are so subtle. Eg I noticed that men in France are so forward when approaching women. For the most part, people are really nice.

HONESTLY. if you don’t want to learn a language, duolingo isn’t going to help. If you truly want to learn, it helps out soooo much. Of course you shouldn’t use it as your only source of learning, but I am anyway and have learned so much in the past two months. @@cultofpunktionality3302 So: 1. Duolingo - haha jokes on u Ikenna - it helped my vocabulary a lot. I`ve done one third ish so far. But I`m not rushing myself 2. I`m watching this channel: ru-vid.com/show-UCIdFcLCIJQ_YMrormG_nU8w Somehow, it is pretty easy to understand her, not like other native speakers, so it`s great for begginers (aka: ME). Another good suggestion: SuperHolly ( ru-vid.com ) - but its not that easy to understand her. Always when I`m taking a shower I turn on the video to listen passively. 3. languagetransfer ( www.languagetransfer.org/free-courses-1 ). Ikenna talked about this in one of his episodes. It`s pretty cool - helped with understanding tenses in Spanish 4. My current main resource: Rocket Spanish I`ve bought a course for 110$ (it seems like a lot maybe, but the course is very professional so I enjoy every lesson) I tried stuff like `300 hundred most common words` but its not effective, cause I had problems with putting the words into the right context. I never rush myself. I am doing my best to learn something new every day, but it doesnt necessarily mean that I`m learning new words every day, because it would be tiring for my brain and I dont want to lose my enthusiasm to this language. I wanted to mention something else but I forgot. ok, I remember now lol There is a book `Włam się do mózgu` - which translates as `Break into your brain`. Its about learning methods, mostly remembering. Learning through associations - that`s how I do it, for example: puedo oír - I can hear. I already knew the word `puedo`, but how to remember `oír`? It`s like `Rio`(de janeiro) backwards, and that`s how I rememberd this word. bonito - pretty. I rememberd that cause Shawn Mendes alter ego is Benito. so: bonito - pretty --- Benito - Shawn Mendes (Shawn is pretty) simple math Being bilingual is also helpful while learning new words, for example: boleto - ticket - it doesnt seem similar at all. But in my native language `ticket` is `bilet`. So... boleto - bilet - looks pretty similar (I guess) And of course there are tons of words in English which are similar to spanish ones like: importante, estudiar etc. So I highly recommend beeing bilingual while learning a new language My biggest issue is writing in spanish, but first I`m focusing on understanding and speaking Sorry for writing so much. Love Siga practicando!
