This is the exact info I was looking for. I just got the deluxe edition on sale for the Xbox one and was afraid to loose the stuff that came with it. Great video man
@@uppercutgrandma4425 Enjoy that content! Use it til your heart's content. It will be there in your store for constant re-buy (with basic in-game money)
@@gamestar.nation ok so I buy the lengedary bow chick I die and I can just re buy her or the bow or the throwing stars and just always have it u locked sick
Thanks for the info i was scared of buying a legendary hunter just to lose him forever ima get the ronin cause my brotha likes his looks so i can flex on him lol
I'm getting super tempted to try this game out. I'm not big on PvP, but it seems like there are pretty heavy PvE elements. Also pretty cool that there are legendaries that you get to keep when you die. I hate losing everything. :(
The game is great! It's really fresh- both as a slang compliment and as a nod to it's originality. I'll show you the ropes man. I'll take you under my wing and teach you how to fly... right up until you're shot down. I haven't quite perfected the art of dodging bullets yet.
It's 1/2 price right now on Steam!! It does have very heavy PvE elements. You can actually avoid PvP combat most of the time if you want to. There's also only 12 people total to the map and they are big maps. So, if you move slow and careful, you can just creep around from place to place, looting and killing mobs, leveling as you go. You can also leave the game whenever you want just by getting to an exit. It's awesome!
I've only recently starting playing with some friends and have been enjoying it a lot. I do have one question about legendaries though, Can you dual wield 2 different skins? For example you had 3 different silenced Nagant skins, could you mix and match with them, or are you just stuck with one skin at a time per slot?
So they're basically just skins with 3 random traits? Ok that doesn't sound too bad then. God I wish they made that clearer in game. Was about to refund this on steam
Quick question, just bought this game last night and the Nian dlc since I love the look of the characters and weapons. I'm scared of dying with them now, so I will lose my weapon that come with the bundle and unable to purchase it again until I level up?
Well, not right away. For the first 10 ranks, you will be safe from losing anything. Once you are rank 11, when you die, you will lose all the gear your hunter was carrying. All of the items you unlocked from buying the DLC can be repurchased again with game money (hunt dollars) once you have unlocked the base weapon or tool through ranking up. So all you really lose is the hunt dollars you spent on them. You will never lose access to the items permanently.
Yea or you can just click the slot you want to purchase a weapon for on your roster screen and as long as it fits (large, medium or small), it'll show the guns you can buy (including your legendaries). [Sorry for the super late reply. I missed your comment until now]
I see this is a little dated.....but, I purchased a legendary DLC WEAPON PACK called THE LAST GUST. It came with a legendary version of a Winfield called the swift. It immediately showed up in my weapons list the first match after downloading it. but, now it says I have to unluck it by doing all these previous tasks? I don't see the weapon in my list of Winfield variants either. I don't even see the skin I bought? It has a dreamcatcher up by the hammer. Hard to miss. I'm confused hahaha. Thank-you for the help.
Yea, that's a nice skin. So whenever you unlock a skin either through blood bonds or dlc, you get one free. Even if you haven't unlocked that variant in the game. After that, you have to have them unlocked (either by leveling your rank or, if it's a variant like the Swift, by unlocking all previous versions of it). So now you need to use the non-C version of the Winfield (any of them) until you unlock the Swift variant. Then you can purchase the Swift with your deamcatcher skin on it for the same cost as a normal Swift. Make sense?
so if i buy a DLC caracter from the steam store. i get the caracter/and its Weapons unlocked from the start to reby ?.. some of the DLC caracters and their weapons is quite nice looking and cool. thinking bout getting some during this winter sale
You will get a free one to use whenever, regardless of level. You will be able to rebuy the hunter every round if you want to (with hunt dollars, not blood bonds). The guns are available for rebuy (with hunt dollars) only once you have unlocked that type of gun with your current blood rank. You will never have to spend blood bonds or real money on them ever again.
When i buy Caldwell Conversion i suck with it, but when i buy The Pearl im suddenly a headshot making machine, that is until i get headshotted myself lol. So legendary skins are OP in my opinion
Early on you might, but as you get used to the game and learn how to play, money eventually starts piling up pretty quickly. Eventually, down the road, money is no object. So have you played it yet? What do you think?
@@gamestar.nation I have started, I got to rank 11. Not by being awesome or anything haha. But now I'm afraid to buy a good setup because im not so good at it yet. Love it though it's a lot of fun.
@@troyanderson6950 love to hear it! The cheap guns are just as viable as the expensive ones, in closer fights at least. Stick with the Winfield or Vetterli for rifles, Romero or Rival for shotguns and the nagant silenced/officer or Caldwell conversion for handguns for awhile. Cheap but good and all competitive.
Just bought the Gold edition and got 7 Skin DLCs and was afraid of loosing them but now thanks to you i know i can buy them back for a small amount of in-game Dollars, thanks for your help 👍🏼
Thanks for the information, got the game for Christmas and started playing it a couple days ago and I was wondering why anyone would buy dlcs if they just disappeared, nice vid, dropped a like
I wanted to buy this game for ps4 before I buy I need to see the in game mechanics thank you for this video! And I’m too afraid to lose my deluxe edition stuff too…
Thanks for watching this video! You have nothing to fear. Once unlocked, you will be able to rebuy items (with game money) throughout your entire career!
Thanks you so much for this video I was looking for a answer on weather you get you hunters back because I died, btw I’m new to the game, no one was discussing how you can buy them back. I appreciate this video it helped me a lot lots of love brother ❤
So does this your hunter dies but you can go back to the store and purchase them also work for non legendary hunters? I'm asking because what if there is a character skin I like, do I get a chance to get it again or is it lost forever?
Good question. As of now, no. Normal hunters are just gone. But, the same skins rotate often enough, you will see it again. Soon though, Crytek is releasing character customization. They haven’t given any details yet, but it sounds like it will allow you to remake a hunter a certain way.
@@gamestar.nation THANK YOU! :) I have looked at videos on permadeath but none of them answered my question in regards to what happens to your character skin when you die. I have the game and been wanting to play but haven't because of the permadeath feature. I am very relieved to hear that skins are not entirely lost forever so if die I can just wait for the rotation for my favorite skin to be back. Once Again THANK YOU!!!! :)
Just bought the collectors edition last night, so I now own all the DLC so I was very curious to see if I'd lose my shit, good I won't, got it for like 90$, and it's like 210 base price, so big save
Wow! That's a good deal!! Yea, it would suck to spend that kind of money just to lose it all in a match or two. Luckily, that stuff is yours for life! Nice buy!!
The first ten times you prestige, you get your choice of 10% more xp for your next prestige rank, $2000 Hunt dollars or a random legendary item (always choose that). Then your rank is reset to level 1, money resets to $4000 Hunt dollars (you keep your blood bonds) and all weapons are relocked and you start from scratch. All legendaries that you had previously unlocked stay unlocked but you still have to unlock the guns before you can rebuy the legendary version of that gun. After prestige level 10, you only get the random legendary item choice every 10 prestige ranks (20,30,40...), but can still choose the 10% xp boost or $2000 Hunt dollars.
If it’s your roster that’s filled up, you can purchase more slots. There should be a button below your last hunter referring to expand roster. Or you can retire a different hunter to free up his space (or death of a current hunter)
I know the video is 1 year old, but I just got the game on sale and this was VERY helpful! Thank you! One quick question, I’m gunna get the lonely howl guy, if I die with him will I be able to get the bow again before I reach the normal rank? Or will I get 1 bow, and then have to wait until rank 54(I think) to get a new bow?
That's sad. I hoped to be able to buy the weapons you have the skins for whenever, no matter your bloodline level, to help out once you prestige... Prestigeing sucks
So real quick just to help anyone that had my predicament if you get legendary items that you are trying to equip the skin on console or at least PS5 in my can if you go to yor weapons to equip them to a hunter if you have legendary skins for that gun or item it will have little dots on the left side of the weapon Slot All mine were originally set for the original versions of the guns and items you have to select the other dots on the weapon slot to change them to the legendary skin 05/03/23
Health bar layouts are randomized per hunter, but to change them you first have to lose a big health bar (or equivalent). Then, at the end of the round (assuming you survived), you will be given the option to buy either 1 large or 2 small bars to replace it using upgrade points.
I agree that it should be more clear in-game. It would probably improve their DLC sales. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment and for your kind words 👍
I think it’s called The Colonel. I slowed the tempo down though to give it an edgier sound. You can find it in RU-vid‘s music and sound effects library
They have to be unlocked (the weapons) in order to re-buy. If they are, find the base gun and click the little arrows under its name to cycle through the options you have unlocked for it.
Hunter doesn't matter. Guns have a different size rating: 1(small), 2 (med), 3 (long). Without the 'quartermaster' trait, you can only carry 4 points worth of weapons. So if you have a med weapon (2 pts), you can only have a small or med secondary.
Do you run out of hunt dollars easily? Is it easy to rack up a lot if you’re low? Can you buy hunt dollars with actual money? I’m not talking about blood bonds. Thanks!
no you cant buy hunt dollars only blood bonds with real cash but it is sorta easy to pick up hunt dollars, so far i have yet to run out. To add you get hunt dollars after every match alive or dead but you get more for doing more and surviving.
Eric Patchem is right. As far as building your bankroll, It does help to avoid using expensive gear. Get it off dead players. The cheap guns are still deadly! I go into a match knowing how much cash I've spent on gear and play greedy but cautious until I've broke even. Then it's b@lls to the wall!!
@@gamestar.nation OK I figured it out. It’s because I just recently bought the platinum edition and it gives me a ton of legendary so I had to dismiss a lot of them. I wasn’t aware that there was only so many slots available for recruitment.
So what I'm trying to figure out is I've got a few legendary items like knives and such but no matter what I do I cannot figure out how to get them on my hunter if I go to the store it shows that I own them and it says that they would be in the Arsenal but they're not in the Arsenal any help with this would be awesome thank you.
Gold edition on sale 19.49$ as of right now (Playstation, made the switch since my laptop died long time ago). Started playing when bunny hopping and AD spam was still a thing then I took a big break. Thanks for the info because I didn’t understand what the legendary hunters were for or even that they implemented 3 hunter teams!
I know this video is suer old, but maybe someone can still answer. Sometimes when you pick up an enemys legendary weapon you can keep the weapon skin forever and sometime you can only keep it till you die with the weapon skin in hand. What is the difference and how to spot it?
If you die, you lose that hunter and all gear he has on him, but don’t lose any of your rank or weapons that you’ve unlocked up to that point. So your next hunter will have access to all weapons you’ve unlocked from rank, but you will need to re-purchase them with hunt dolllars.
You have your rank (which unlocks guns) and your hunter level (which gets you points to buy traits for him). When the hunter dies, you keep rank, but he loses levels and gear he is carrying.
@@rubbingisracing6951 yea man, np. Expect to get pissed a few more times, but stick with it. It’s a bad@ss game. Hit me up if you have any questions. 👍
The ones you have on you win you die are lost forever, but you can turn around and purchase the same one(s) again with just normal hunt dollars once they are unlocked. You don't have to use blood bonds again.
Thanks for the kind words, Wolf. The only difference is that legendary hunters come with 3 random traits, but no gear. Other than that, it’s just looks.
It really depends on what you did in the match, but roughly between $600-$1000 per boss. I’ve had games where I took home over $2000 for soloing both bosses (solo pays a lot more)
Good question. When you prestige, you lose any legendaries you currently have, but can then re-purchase any of them again as long as you've met the requirements (none for hunters) - like unlocking the normal (non-legendary) version of that gun during your current rank/level/prestige.
@@mahdimegdich940 I can relate. You can have a lot of fun sneaking around avoiding players, but eventually you’ll have to fight. What’s nice is a bullet does a lot of damage. So you can ambush people all day. You see them, you kill them, no fight.
You convinced me. I'll give it a shot. Hopefully, I'll find someone in the community to show me the ropes. I used be a destiny 2 player.im really good at pve but somehow my reflexes turn into that of a toddler's when dealing with real players.
They shouldn’t be. If you bought them from the steam store, they should show up in your roster (you got one free) then you should be able to purchase additional hunters for 333 Hunt dollars in the legendary hunters window. Close and restart the game if need be
Roger that. I’m always struggling to find a good balance between listening with headphones vs speakers as all the videos sounds drastically different between them. I believe my newer videos have improved but let me know if you disagree. Thanks 👍
The character, yes. Regardless of rank, he will be available in the legendary hunter shop for $200 hunt dollars but will have random traits. Bomb lance will only be available once you unlock it through playing/rank
Great question, but no. You can use that item until you lose it, but it doesn't unlock the skin. Would be super easy to exploit and would pull from Crytek's pocket book too much, me thinks.
@@gamestar.nation ok well then i have had something extremely strange happen, dont know if its a glitch with gunrunner atm. I get gunrunner, kill people for their legendaries, and unlock the skin. At this time ive unlocked bear tooth, copperhead, black widow, last gust, all of the chain conversions (dark miasma, the gold spanish one, etc.) and black wight
You've unlocked the actual skin and not just the gun you looted? Like, have you lost one of the guns with the custom skins you looted and then were able to repurchase another one with that skin?
@@gamestar.nation yes its stopped happening now but as soon as i got 2 i went to the store, and the skin i stole said unlock for 0 blood bonds. Ive gotten a ton but think its been patched
