Paul Kinnerk has his fingerprints all over this performance. The guy is a genius. He did it with the Clare U21's. I remember O'Connor and Maloney, the U21 managers at the time, saying this openly. He would turn up for training with a large folder with prepared drills.

Limerick were the most experienced team. Corks young team were not battle hardened.

That's an excuse and excuses win nothing, 45 years worth of evidence in lImerick to prove that point. Most of that Cork team are around since 2018 at least. They had the oldest player on the field. The harsh reality is that several of that Cork team are massively overrated and simply not good enough. The half-back line is light and not what's needed and anyone that thought Coleman was a centre back knows little or nothing about Hurling. I honestly think he plays midfield or bench. Honestly watching that setup frustrated me so I can only imagine what Cork people feel.

Hard to compare them to that great Kilkenny team. I think Kilkenny would beat them. Cork arent great made them look really good yesterday. Tipp are finished. Waterford are ok but again not a great team. I think next year Clare will probably give them the best game. Physically pretty strong. Team is improving. Duggan is back and hopefully O'Donnell. If they could cut out the mistakes, the bad wides and improve the ball into the forwards. They would have no fear playing Limerick either. But obviously Limerick short odds for 3 in a row.

Despite all the abuse thrown at Tipp after the Munster final, that 5 point defeat was the closest any team got to Limerick this year.

Ye play one game. Ye won your last Leinster championship in football in 1929, and display zero interest in promoting the game, you had your last rugby international in 1982 and you have no premier soccer team. You also play in a province where no Under 21 or minor Hurling Trophy has been won by a county, outside of KK, in the past thirty years.. I am the first to admit that Kilkenny have had great teams, but had Limerick devoted themselves totally to hurling as KK do and had the same easy run in their own province as KK do, we would probably have many more All Irelands.
