I know this is supposed to be very sad and melancholy, but Persephone: "... the laws of your underworld" Hades' "it's yours too" KILLED me!

Hades hitting his head when he straightens up too fast made me laugh

I very much love the color contrast between Hades and Persephone! How Hades is red with a type of spite and rage he holds while Persephone is a dull, unhappy, green like someone who used to be vibrant and splendid that dimmed and grew less overtime. How it contrast each other. Art and theme is amazing as usual!!!! You’re doing great!

Hades: Nothing comes of the songs people sing. Also Hades: The kingdom will fall for a song. Remember that the next time someone tells you something is pointless while actively trying to stop you from doing it.

the way you interpreted how hades says “the girl means nothing to me” and how persephone answers “i know” is EXACTLY how i envisioned it. this is one of my favorite songs in the musical because of how much i adore these two so seeing it like this is beautiful, great work!!

The concept of Hades and Persephone on different halves of the globe in light and shadow is brilliant and fits so well with that part of this song. Well done

When they start singing together about the sun it gives me the feeling of two immortal, impossibly old beings coming to terms with something and coming to terms with each other

I love that in the original myth Orpheus got both of them to agree but still over Hades’ conditions. This song really remarks the stubborn and careful Hades is but still honest.

those few frames where Hades is alone in the Underworld are really sad for some reason. it was literally like three frames how did you do this to me

For a rough design you captured so much emotion

The part with the light piercing through orpheus' chest and bursting out his back like the wings on a bird fucking ruined me this is wildly good

This is so pretty I love the coloring/ lighting and the character designs are so good

Can we all just appreciate 3:07... It's such a beautiful contrast to how she was the whole song, in her dull green coloring showing just how tired she is of everything... It's being up above, giving spring and bringing the earth back to life that gives her life, that gives her color. Then we get to 3:09, with Hades who instead of appreciating the beauty, the life she gives off, is turning back into the darkness, as if turning away from the sunlight which, I think shows his fears... He knows that being above gives Persephone happiness, he knows just how much she loves the world above, and she fears that that love for the earth would cause her to leave him forever and stay at the surface, which also causes him to keep her from leaving Hadestown on time and coming for her earlier than what was planned, as referenced on Living it up on top and Way Down Hadestown.

GOD THE PART WHERE THE LIGHT SPIKES ORPHEUS THROUGH THE CHEST AND BECOMES WINGS... BEAUTIFUL.

Dang I love the ending with Hades and Persephone standing on opposite sides of the earth, it’s super artistic and creative as is the rest of this absolutely phenomenal work of art

The look he gives her with the "it's yours too" when she sings about HIS Underworld broke my heart. I was just thinking about this specific line when listening to it tonight, and just that, how she doesn't call it "our" Underworld. Beautifully done ❤️

Hades' part ooze this feeling of "Why should I care for him and his strife when you didn't care for mine?" His approach to it is still objectionable, but his frustration is still compelling.

I'm so blown away by the dynamics and characterisation that has gone into this. How Long has always been one of my favourite songs from the album and I think this animatics truly displays how much of a turning point this encounter is. The sun sequence was absolutely beautiful

Hhmmmmm! Now I'm thinking... Persephone is the goddess of spring and death... does that mean she is also the goddess of resurrection and rebirth? If that's so, Hades must agreed with every soul she wants to be back into the life, because you know, that's her will as the goddess of resurrection and rebirth.

God, I love How Long so much. I was waiting for a quality version of it (Bootlegs of 2017 have floated around here and there) with Patrick and Amber since I first found Hadestown years ago, lol. My favorite thing about the song is how Persephone snaps at Hades, but immediately softens. You really captured that in this. The design you envisioned for Hadestown is also really cool looking. The clock hanging town almost akin to a chandelier is really striking, along with the hot color that really describes the heat that is within Hadestown. Just an A++ animatic overall.

W O W This is absolutely incredible!!! I'm absolutely obsessed with how you portrayed them interacting with each other, so natural and tense at the same time. The bit at 2:31 is AMAZING, from his expression and gestures to the way he just like circles her, it is CHEF'S KISS

Oh my god this is just so majestic. I love how you can see Persephone constantly stopping Hades from leaving so that he can hear her out. I love the frames at 1:08 , it depicts Orpheus’s grief so well to the point where the viewer can feel it. And Hades’s expressions fit his point of view so well! I’m gonna stop ranting but just know that this deserves a reward.

Dear Gods! This is incredible,your lighting is amazing, it gives this so much feeling, the part when Persephone goes " what does he care for the logic Of kings" and steps into hades light is amazing, And the sun! How she is yellow, and so is the sun and she gets stronger with it, and how when she speaks of the Earth coming back to life everything changes! It felt so vivid, and you really portrayed the song amazingly.

The amount of times I've watched this one over the years... Its the fact that he looks so HURT when she says "once had" not "have" And the RAGE you gave Orpheus as Seph is describing him And again, when she says "Your underworld", he looks SO HURT that she doesnt consider it her home as well. And then when he snaps back at her and she says "as long as i am your wife" he turns away, like "Oh so NOW youre a part of this, pssh, okay..."
