What if I don’t want to have the permanent retainer? I wouldn’t like a permanent metal in my teeth and it would be harder to floss also. I’m very responsible and I know I will always use the normal retainer.
You can have removable retainers but as you said if you are responsible you can do it but if you forget the probability of your teeth shifting is higher! 😉 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like our video that helps a lot!! 🧡🦷
I have the same question I heard some bad things about the permanent retainer the permanent retainers break I think they need to stop putting these on people
I am eagerly waiting for this day to come in my life.. But I have got my braces on August 13th, 2022 and today is October 25th, 2022. Many more days to go.
Hi my friend and usually they work best in younger ages between 7 and 9 years old but in teenager they manage to work well as... past 18 years old it wouldn't be that efficient...
That depends my friend, there are always some limitations with braces and how can we move teeth... Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to give us a like and subscribe to our channel! That would help us a lot! 🦷🧡
I love these videos as they are very informative and educational. Why do you apply braces and the rubber bands on the teeth when the persons mouth is unclean? I would make the person brush their teeth before doing anything on their teeth. Dental hygiene should be paramount and taken very seriously.
yes, it’s mainly just a back up incase there are times where you forget to wear your plastic retainer, or don’t have it with you. just a little extra support to make sure your teeth don’t shift :)
No it's not my friend, It's best if you brush 3 times a day, floss correctly and rinse at the end, also going to get your dental cleaning every 6 months it's key! Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to give us a like and subscribe to our channel! That would help us a lot! 🦷🧡
when you guys change the rubberbands yall NEVER clean the gunk out of the brackets, why is that? every video i see patients with gunk in their brackets and you guys just put a new rubberband right over it instead of taking the extra 30 seconds to rinse the gunk out…. really irritates me.
Hi Alex and NEVER is a big statement since not all our patients have a bad hygiene but you are right sometimes in our videos we are unable to clean the area we are getting better at it, but we always reinforce the dental hygiene part! 😉 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like our video that helps a lot!! 🧡🦷
at the office i go to they give us a toothbrush to brush our teeth with once the rubber bands and wire have been removed. they do ask if you want to brush which most people probably say no to. i always say yes and i also floss after i brush before they put the new wire on.
It depends my friend, I wouldn't say it couldn't but it's not a common procedure to do due to many factors! Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to give us a like and subscribe to our channel! That would helps us a lot! 🦷🧡
It's so weird that I'm getting my braces off next month and the comment section in this video has several people going through the same period. Wtf. How did youtube know?
I got my top set put on almost 2 months ago and the bottom done last week the top wasnt reay painful just where it cut at y cheeks at first but my bottom set never cut me but i did noticea crack in my enamel on my bottom front 2 teeth now its sensitive and uncomfortable not overly painful but quite sensitive has anyone else even gotten this with theirs i went back and they kind of blew it off saying that it was normal for some and that it was nothing to worry about but i feel like they are wrong and im going to have huge issues now later?
isnt that kind of retainer going to interfere with your speech?? And why is that indefinite and be taken to the grave? Thats so discouraging to hear. I would be looking for another dentist if i was told that
It doesn't affect the speech and the time that you have to wear the retainer depends on how long you want to keep your teeth with any shifting at all... it's basically the patients decision at the end of the day! Hi there! Don’t be nervous my friend. I have had them for 13 months months now, I recommend dark purple and silver! If you want to be simple or less attention get silver and it goes with every single outfit and no stains also they make your teeth looks white! I will recommend you to get dark colours like dark blue, purple, turquoise etc. if you have any questions let me know I’m happy to answer:) BTW good luck with your braces!
Hi my friend!! and that's great news you are going to love your braces, It's totally normal to feel anxious/nervous but you got this it's not to bad! and there isn’t an official style guide for braces, but these suggestions can help you to narrow down your choices: ✅ Choose gold, dark blue, pink, orange, turquoise, green, or violet to complement darker skin tones. ✅ Choose light blue, bronze, dark purple or subdued reds and pinks to complement lighter skin tones. ✅ Choose darker colors to make your teeth appear whiter. Watch out for lighter colors that could make your teeth look more yellow. 🦷💥 ✅Consider colors that complement or match your eyes. Think about colors that complement the color of clothing that you wear most often. Try your school colors or the colors of your favorite sports team. Christmas or blue and pink around Easter. Glow-in-the-dark bands are fun for Halloween. ❌ You may want to avoid these colors: ❎ Black (can look like your teeth are rotting or can look as though you have food stuck in your teeth). ❎ White (can make your teeth appear more yellow and white elastics tend to stain more easily). ❎ Yellow (tends to intensify the appearance of yellow-toned teeth). ❎ Green or brown (can be mistaken for food in your teeth). 💡 Don’t be afraid to ask for different colors of braces at each orthodontic visit. If you’re not sure about how to choose a color, ask us or your dentist for suggestions and advice. And if you like braces content do not forget to give us a Like and subscribe to our channel 🧡💛💚💙💜🤍❤️
@@Princesshadiqa245 hello! i got my braces today and i chose blue bcs they don't have purple. i wanna ask how do you deal with the pain? i can't even bite or chew food, it hurts so bad :(
@@riana2381 Hi my friend! Congrats!!🎉🎉 blue colour is a great colour to choose:) good question, how I deal with pain? Take painkillers, eat soft food like soup, Mac and cheese, mash potato’s etc. my secret tips is drink cold water and leave it in your mouth for few seconds and raise out as many as possible also drink lots of smoothies or milkshakes and eat lots of ice cream aswell it helps with pain a lot. If your braces keep cutting your mounts or lips put wax on it. You will be fine in few days my friend. Hope this helps!
At 13:55 my teeth are kinda like the bottom left but my spacing is a little less then theirs I was suppost to get braces like 4 years ago for that but dad never called
May I ask why some people still have their braces on for like 4 years when it seemed that braces have already done its work? I mean their tooth have straighten already.
Bc some dentist keep saying you still need them had a friend go thru that the dentist kept pushing the date back farther and farther for her to get hers off she ended up cutting them off one night or no I think that was my cousin or both
some people miss appointments, break brackets often and/or does not wear rubber bands and that can make the process way longer than normal... listen to your dentists! dont eat foods that youre not allowed to have!
