@@stephaniebev1 i just got mine yesterday and it doesn't really hurt that bad, you can use ice, pain killers (tylenol or anything that has acetaminophen) but the most thing that annoys me is eating because my teeth are sore but from what i have read, you will get used to the pain soon and it won't be a struggle :v

@@sydneystubbings3527 nope! Retainer are used after you take off braces and braces remains at your teeth for like 1 to 2 years. My dentist suggested to have a tooth extraction bcuz I have this extra teeth. It's still depends on the dentist. My dentist ask me for a the xray of my teeth before doing anything. I just had my braces last Saturday! Still hard to eat though

@@sydneystubbings3527 I stock up a lot of soft foods and pain killers. The first day it's really uncomfortable, then the next day I wish I haven't put any braces on you know cuz It's sooo painful! I can't even bite a one noodle! My teeth are too sensitive HAHA but now my teeth are getting better. Idk for others if it hurts like hell cuz we all have different pain scale. And cold compressed can help!

I've had my braces on for almost a year, and to anyone who's worried, the first few days (having them put on and adjusted each month or so) are pretty tough. It might hurt a lot, but you'll soon like your braces, especially because you will have straighter teeth after (unless you just don't like braces in general)! I'm actually pretty nervous to get them off when the time comes because it will feel strange- 😅

@@semimhasan6737 No, they just do a lot of adding glue and putting brackets on. During check-ups and things such as that, they might have to drill glue off your teeth, but they don't hurt you or do stuff with your gums.

@@prudenciomangaoangiii403 i got separators and they were so painful that i wasn't able to eat anything. my whole mouth kept aching for the first 3 days and i wasnt able to bite anything. i remember i was hungry and i tried to bite a bread and my teeth hurt like hell. the pain eventually gets better and maybe fades away (mine didn't, the intensity of the pain just got somewhat low) they remove the separators after a week and then you get molar bands. molar bands also hurt but most of all they kind of keep scratching your cheeks which is painful. my molar bands were a problem for me only for the first 3 days, afterwards it didn't feel like anything. i got my top braces yesterday and im still not able to bite anything. but yes, the separators are the worst among all of these.

@@prudenciomangaoangiii403 well, you'll get over it. its only the separators that are so painful. eat cold food like ice cream etc to ease the pain. separators were the only problem for me. with molar bands, i was able to chew/bite anything within the 3rd day and the pain completely went away. today is my 2nd day of top braces and the pain is somewhat low. im still not able to bite hard food so ive switched to boiled rice. also, maybe your dentist will recommend some pain killers, mine did but i didnt take all of them.

@@gifttelekisa9853 hiiii i already got them, but if you're scared, that's okay the process of getting them on doesn't hurt at all the only thing that might hurt is after you get them you might feel pain. for me it didn't hurt at all, but if it hurts for you, you can eat ice cream and brush your teeth after, you can even put an ice pack too if you want, but then you get used to them you might not be able to eat whatever you want for a while but that's okay

@Savage Me hey, don’t worry braces are perfectly fine i think they are a way to express yourself! i’m getting mine in december! Some tips for colors, DONT GET YELLOW OR BROWN! they make your teeth look like do you have food stuck in your teeth and yellow makes your teeth you know look yellow. I know from personal experience getting them again in December and I said they aren’t that bad but I had phase 1 and now I’m getting phase 2

I just got braces. The worst part was definitely the spacers though tbh. Although I’m having a lot of trouble flossing now so I’m going to try a water pick. My adjustment isn’t until December so i hope you reply before then because I have a question. I’m not sure what the tooth is called, but it’s the 2 teeth that sit beside your two big front teeth. One of these teeth is the only really crooked one I have, and I feel like something is wrong with the bracket or wire. Something super sharp is poking out from the bracket, but I can’t tell if it’s a piece of the bracket or a wire that they didn’t clip enough. I think they messed up on the wire somehow, but when they restarted they forgot to clip the excess or something. It’s been tearing the inside of my mouth up, and is really painful to eat or talk if I don’t have wax on it. I know it’s not normal, but do you possibly have any idea what it could be?

Having braces was the best 2 years I never want to experience again! Braces changed my smile completely but the constant canker sores and having to clean it all the time..😬 the wax to put over the braces to prevent sores never helped either

I'm still watching this eventhough i already have braces on :) I have Malocclusion class 3 Or Underbite i want to share my experience during the process, at first im excited and i already thought about how hurt it is after.. First day i never feel anything until a couple of week i feel soreness on my left and right mouth. At first i can't eat right, but i tried.. in first adjustment, it might hurt in a second because my rubber band change and it hurt when it already put on my brackets. But nevertheless im enjoying having my braces and im waiting to see my teeth aligned beautiful. And it was my 2nd month of Adjustment this month , and my third adjustment is on Dec :) don't scared to try having braces if its would help to your own self and to have a confindence. I was always shy about how i speak because i have an Underbite.But now i am open to share it with someone else and im happy about it. Can't wait for the result after 2 years :)❤️💕

I am getting mine this Friday , I am so damn excited and scared at the same time Edit:- my dentist actually didn't put braces on my yet instead they put 4 spacers , and when I tell you it hurts .....IT HURTS...and he said he'll attach my braces in about a month , hopefully braces doesn't hurt as much as spacers are ..... Edit no. 2 :- i got them removed after a week so that was a relief but after that I got my braces and it did hurt for a week or so but now I am used to it and honestly my teeth are moving so fast , I am very excited for this journey

@@z4ksi that's great I hope your braces journey goes well , I got mine 3 weeks ago and it hurts for a week but after that it will be fine , I haven't gotten them tightened yet so I don't know how that's gonna be like but I think the most pain that I felt was with spacers , braces aren't bad at all, also I am gonna get one premolar removed in my next appointment , kinda scared about that
