On this video we are repositioning some brackets, why is that? Check the video out !
Bracket repositioning is common and normal. Done sometimes to get better root positions, or sometimes for better tooth positions.
When brackets first went on teeth and specially if they were terribly crooked, the brackets were placed initially to correct the crowding. Some were then repositioned to get better leveling and root positions.
Aligning the arches is accomplished using wires, elastic chains, springs, and other auxiliaries that rotate, tip, and torque the teeth into their desired positions. Another common step in the alignment process is “repositioning” individual brackets.

That girl (and her parents) really needed a big lesson on how to brush her teeth. I do agree with Abby, in my area there’s this brand of dental care products that mades ‘access’ toothbrushes for adults and they’re regular/orthodontic tootbrushes but have smaller heads so you reach everywhere. They’ve been a lifesaver for me for years! I now would gag real hard if I had to put a regular toothbrush in my mouth because they’re too big for me.

Ok like seriously. Can you all REQUIRE that every client at least brush their teeth before coming in and being filmed for the public to see? The plaque is just straight up disrespectful. They knew good and well they had a braces check up and looks like they didn't even attempt to brush their teeth! They are old enough to know to brush their teeth at least before an appointment.

I agree, I get that mouth hygiene is tricky for a lot of people who suffer depression etc. But PLEASE.

@@xojasberry90 we can't keep using depression as an excuse for poor hygiene. Yes it can impact dental hygiene SOMETIMES but this is just laziness.

bc of a medical condition, my arms get tired really quickly (I can't even write and even taking my phone hurts) but it isn't an excuse... yes I can't brush my teeth everyday but everytime i feel that my muscles can handle it, my first thought is : I have to brush my teeth!!!! Even with my condition ive never had that much plaque on my teeth. but I ain't talking abt people that suffer from mental health issues ofc!

They should have made this girl brush and floss after the brackets were removed.... I understand letting the viewers see the state of the patient mouth first however it should be a requirement to perform in a clean mouth after....

Omg! 🫣 I could never. I would be so embarrassed walking in for my appointment like that. I might eat something before my appointment, but I brush, floss, interdental floss, waterpik & mouthwash right after. This was hard to watch 🤢

I never had braces but I might be getting them soon because I really want them but I’m really nervous for it to hurt in the food I really love to eat but when I heard is it’s really hard to brush your teeth with braces they show you how to brush it even though you could already know you brush your teeth like normal but you just do different like circle shapes and then he has a dental floss my mom she’s going to get me a water Flosser in the water Flosser address is the same thing but much easier and then they have and then you have to put on wax if it hurts and then you have to do understand because you’re but I think it’s easy

@@belapinkgaming1686 the best thing to do is to get the right tools. You might want to get a tooth brush specifically for braces. I believe OralB and Colgate has them. Or get an electric toothbrush which is 10x better. What I do with mine is I prebrush with the manual toothbrush just to get the large chunks of food out of there and wash with water. Then I do my flossing with a superflosser which has a hard end so it’s easier to insert between the brackets. Sometimes I used a platypus flosser when I’m feeling lazy. After that I do a mini brush with an interdental brush to insert between my brackets and do brushing there too (just a little, just to make sure they get brushed too) and then finally, i brush with my electric toothbrush. Then after an hour, I do an antibacterial mouthwash 🙂 It seems to be a lot, but so far, it works for me and my dentist have said I have terrific teeth hygiene. Some people may be satisfied with only using the manual toothbrush but I already had to root canal one tooth so I’ve been scared of cavities ever since. Mind you, I only do this at night. I just brush with the manual toothbrush and mouthwash after I eat during the day

I agree! The patient needs to clean better or the braces come off! In my office the patient wouldn’t get anymore active treatment without improvement in their oral hygiene

No, I been in braces for 9 1/2 months and something they have you come every 8 weeks , or ever 4 weeks you’re teeth is still going to be moving , even if your braces aren’t tightened every month

ew! I have braces and I make sure to brush 2x and floss my teeth whenever I go to the dentist. No fancy brush just your regular drugstore kind. Going to a dentist with unbrushed teeth is just nasty.
