I guess I'll keep mine in for awhile. I've been taking them out at night before bed and in the morning when I put them back in that's when it would hurt the most.

@@TurkMccullough Yeah I got 12 last teeth removed and full immediate dentures 5 days ago. Keep it in as long as you can, day and night for the first week or two. My dentist said the first few days. I'm only now starting to get a little fatigue in the gums. Wouldn't call it pain. I only take it out for 20 minutes in morning to use the prescription mouth wash, 1-2 times a day for a minute or two with warm salt water and same prescription mouthwash before bed and putting them back in. Mine fit pretty great right out the gate. Top stays in place no problem, bottom comes up when I move my tongue back. But I'm getting 2 implants to hold the bottom denture in place in 4-6 months once the bone graph fully heals and they actually have bone to insert it into. I honestly haven't had really any pain during the procedure or afterwards. Just some soreness and swelling. Eating is definitely tough. I just been doing 400 calorie smoothies with 21 minerals and vitamins. Mash potatoes. Yogurt. And crumbling a donut into tiny pieces in a cup and filling with milk. Works good. I did eat baked beans and tried chewing and it wasn't too bad. Just made me sore. To be expected.

new lower denture out 5 days ago.. have the worst bumps back of my gums also sore front gums. I do not think today I can suffer through the pain of those again. doing warm salt god help me heal. Amen

I am so sorry you're going thru so much pain! Warm salt water rinses should help you heal & soothe your pain. I'm 3 weeks in with my (top) denture.. had 8 teeth pulled + 5 a couple yrs ago. I've found that organic castor oil is helping.. with pain AND healing! I just put a bit on my finger & gently rub across my gums... at least in the morning after my coffee & before putting the denture on, and when I remove it (in late afternoon or) before bed. It doesn't really have a taste & it won't hurt you! If you don't know much about Castor Oil, go to RU-vid & research there! There are so many people who know about it (and aren't trying to just sell you something)! Bonus... Castor oil can help with so many other ailments too 😉

I had three taken out yesterday. I had a j hook on one and it didn't want to come out. I still have my partial in and it's been very painful and my mouth feels like it's full of plastic bulk. I pray you're doing better. Day two is pretty rough for me but,my dentist was very professional and caring . I don't know that I can get used to this weird ,slightly nauseated feeling though.These comments give me hope😢

yokay I have 4 stitches in my mouth. and LOTS of pain where they are. I can not put them in at all. untill the stitches are gone. and having something IN my mouth LOOSE as I sleep. WOWWWWWWW THIS IS CRAZY. how is anyone to get sleep with that much pain and something loose in a SORE mouth. I want to know how YALL THINK everyone is capable of doing so.

Totally unable to wear after extractions and I’m going on week 2. I don’t see how it’s possible right after surgery. Maybe I’m different.

Mine I’ve had for 6 days and I took them out yesterday. Digging into the front of my gums, all kinds of crooked and don’t sit right. The gum sore pain is real. I hope you were able to get them adjusted by now. I have another week for adjustment.

@@dangirl333 the top is good, no hurt, looks awesome like my orig teeth. The bottom was no Bueno, kept rubbing right in front leaving like canker sore. I couldn’t handle it, so took our. I think adjustment in July but healing well.

Sorry can you be clearer as to what you mean? Palette removal from a denture? Extraction from what? A natural tooth from the jaw? Are you asking if it is worth adapting an existing denture to reveal more of your palette when you go in for a tooth extraction?
