How Long Can You Survive on The Moon Quay Without Leaving? [Don't Starve Together] 

I think bringing moleworms could be useful on challenges like this. shovel up its den and flint, gold, nitre, and rocks become renewable, and they also can be killed for morsels. As long as you keep its hole, it’ll respawn in a couple days. Definitely seems good for challenges where flint is unrenewable.

I like these challenges way more with the added prep time, actually. Makes it a lot more dynamic!

I've watched a few videos & honestly didn't even realize this was such a small channel till now. These are pretty well made videos, I thought you were already pretty well established & had some experience. Very impressive work for just starting so recently!

Something I'd like to see is a variation on these 'restricted location' challenges, where you just have your _base_ at these locations and are still free to leave and come back to do other stuff. Maybe having a base made of boats under the Waterlogged Biome's canopy, or making treks to and from the Moon Quay island, or Lunar Island. A base in the ruins, or maybe Island Adventures Shipwrecked's Volcano, or the slot machine island.

If you could, you think we could have a compilation of your random conversations you guys have while playing the game? it would be a good way to use the unused footage you guys have during these challenges. I genuinely enjoyed the one-off conversations you guys had, some of my favorites being some from the main series and the whole Berry Debate. XD

This has been by far the best challenge video you've done so far! Personally I like you spawning in Deerclops, I think it's entertaining and a good "do we have weapons and armor" test.

What about a nomadic challenge? Set seasons to short and you have to migrate from the mainland, lunar isles, caves, ocean, etc every season at random

So this is a challenge that doesn't restrict where you can go as much other than that caves are disabled: Challenge name: Scorching Sun Changes to settings (The rest is default for survival mode): World Generation -Starting Season: summer -Ponds: none World Settings -Autumn: none -Winter: none -Spring: none -Summer: very long -Day type: Only day (long day is fine if you still want access to dusk and night) -Seasonal Starting Items: none -Rain: none -Wildfires: Tons -Dragonfly: Tons (this setting doesn't really matter, just makes her respawn faster) Caves are disabled

If you hold down space bar and rapidly click on rocks or trees while harvesting them; you can harvest them a lot faster by animation canceling! Its really easy to do and saves a bunch of time

I like the idea of bringing over bosses, and I think it works in the spirit of the challenge. After all, you face the seasons and the other creatures (even creatures not native to the biome, like spiders), and the player is meant to fight the bosses. Also it's interesting to see how y'all cope with these battles without the traditional resources! Also I was thinking that maybe you could have a few nonrenewable resources introduced to the environment at the end of a season-- like how not having any string kinda just... ended the interesting bits of Lunar Island before it really started. Maybe introduce some self-imposed goals you need to reach in order to get a package? Think the chests at the end of biomes in One Block in Minecraft. I dunno, I just think that having limited amounts of nonrenewable resources might spice up the challenges a bit so you don't go insane IRL from boredom. Also I thought it was cool that y'all played as semi-unfamiliar characters! I also liked hearing y'all talking to each other about the challenge, I love the dynamic of hearing two people just Going Through It™. (That sounds weird but I mean it in the best way)

I suggest doing a run with the eat your veggies mod it's surprisingly difficult and allows for a challenge that's not just sitting around, much more active

Maybe for trip to the sea, you could combine some of the last few challenges. You could have access to the water, Moon Island, Moon Quay, and Pearl's Island, but instead of just trying to survive for a full year, you could instead make the goal to kill King Crab. I'm just kinda spitballing here. Whatever you end up doing next, I'm sure its gonna be great!

I think spawning the seasonal bosses make gameplay more interesting tbh

The moonquay can be nice, but my biggest issues with it are the lack of space (and while docks can fix it, they're not like regular tiles and you can't replace their turf) and hound attacks in this lack of space which can be very dangerous if a firehound explodes. As for the portal, I always build an enclosure all around after blowing up all but one of the docks around the portal, and put a banana on the ground to attract monkeys as they spawn so they don't take the loot; but maybe I'll need to find a way to automate their deaths to make it smoother. Bananas are straight-up op once you've set them up though, the banana shakes and their 33 sanity all year round (with a recipe as cheap as 2 bananas, 2 twigs) are amazing.

I think that adding prep time is a very reasonable idea for runs so theyre bearable

Funny how much I'm being recommended back here lately. I feel like you can start to estimate the success of these challenges by the amount of time between uploads. Here's an old goodie, bit of a grind though. Orange's "Nothing World". After the new world generation settings I've noticed it's fun to see just how far you can get with everything turned to none. It was a surprisingly far journey through obscure gameplay loops. World Regrowth is a must. Essentially a DST variant of Minecraft's Skyblock. There's been more recent changes to the world settings since last I tried it personally so maybe a true Nothing World isn't possible any longer.

I've been loving these past few challenges, because while most players swear by the content in the caves (ruins rushing is pretty good, after all) I think to ocean content is also good in its own way and I'm glad you're able to bring attention to it!

If you happened to find a spittle fish you could've made a "fire pump" with it, they're basically manual flingomatics that can be placed on nearby boats and pumped to put out fires

If you're accepting challenge ideas, it'd be neat to see how long someone can survive with heavy restrictions on their item use. Only one head slot item, body slot item, non-weapon hand slot item, weapon, and food. Obviously though pitchforks are an exemption so you can still decorate the base, but no burning the turf unless the pitchfork is your chosen hand slot item.

Making and filling a couple watering cans would be very handy on summer... Great video!

you can always build a boat and use the plank to jump into water to cool yourself when hot and you respawn on island since you just wash back up on moon quay because it is the nearest landmass

Also theres a way to make minerals renewable using the farm maker, since when you first make a farm it has debre in it, which you can dig up for rocks, flint, nitre and other stuff

If you find monkey annoying, make a hole on middle of portal and you will disable their respawn

You can actually get pirate raids, you just have to stand on one of the boats. This happend to me when I needed to get some equipment from the boat since hounds spawned when I farmed the portal. I'm looking forward to the next video^^

I personally have no issue with the summoning of bosses, especially since you kept with theme; Deerclops in winter. The only exception in my mind might be Summer/Antlion, since the challenge is all about the island, and Antlion, you have to go to in the oasis, specifically.

You should have brought some forest turf to spawn lure plants during spring to use to help in summer (lure plants have extremely high wildfire priority)

Maybe you could enable winter feast during these challanges to be able to optain extra items like walking canes, hats for winter etc if you don't plan to play again with short seasons

Forgot to mention that mod I'm talking about is tropical experience. There's a similar mod to that one that just let's you play the shipwrecked dlc but the tropical experience mod is the one I'm talking about that does both and oceans only

I played a world as Wanda a while ago and I was confused when you guys said deerclops couldn’t spawn on the other islands, but it was because I heard his snarling and backtreked to lunar to fight him each time XD

It is nice to see DST content besides 'blind' and 'boss rush'. If you saved spider glands Webber can craft new spider nests. other than that, pretty nice play. Perhaps instead of spawning in Clops, and maybe instead of prep time, you could allow yourself to run back to the mainland for boss fight days? IDK, but you could fight all seasonals that way. Lack of resources could maybe make some bosses hard? Eeh, but the way you play now is good too Challenge request: Nomadic

i love these challenges i wonder how would some of them go in a trio instead of a duo playthrough also as to the boss spawning , i think it's alright

New video ideas: - unlock the entire map, land and water - idk what you’d call this but I think it’d be so fun to do a run with you and Tig. You could invite a third to play with you, see how long the third could survive without dying once. If you play in endless mode you and Tig could die as many as times as possible but the run ends if you can’t protect the third and they die. Could be a fun way to explore character capabilities.

Moon quay is one of my favorite updates in a while

I like longer autum I feel like it allows me time to enjoy what I’m doing and still get the big tree seed and hit lunar and get glommer before winter as well as collect tons and tons of birch nut

Suggestion for a challenge, no basing. You have to move on to a different biome every night. You don’t have to move your structures each time you move on but you can’t have more than 1 type of structure per section of screen (ex you can have multiple pig houses in your biome of choice but you can’t have your science machine near enough to see it and the pigs on the same section of screen. Just an idea since you wanted a challenge that isn’t so stationary😊

I don't suspect you'll be doing the challenge again, but if you did, I might suggest actually letting yourself go Wonkey, at least while you are low on food. Since bananas are their favorite food, they gain an extra 15 hunger per (raw) banana. With that extra food, you could save yourself some trouble by switching out the cut-less to a proper hambat.

if you have a pig house you can also make ham bats which are pretty good since they don't have durability :]

Can’t believe this channels only a couple weeks old content wise. Next recommendation is maybe only living in the Hamlet main pig city with economics and/or that toxic fog forest, or maybe how long you can survived poisoned in shipwrecked DST (snakes cause it and stuff, cured with anti venom)

As a wickerbottom main i feel like she would thrive in this challenge because of her books, atleast its worth to consider. Prep time: - instant showel, generate world with a juicy berries for no food shortage - get the usual pinecone for the ability to generate tree guard if you didnt get 5 living longs in prep time (2 minimum for a bookcase, 3 more for shadow manipulator) - get a pigmen for a poop generation, we will need 5 poop for her agriculture book - i feel like in a three days prep time you need to make a choice - wet spot for a tentacle book or bees for a beehive and bee book. Tentacles are better at automatic farming monkeys, bees are stable to get in prep time and lets you create docks - mole for nitro and stone for cannonballs for fishfarm We have bananas for sanity, jucy berries for early hunger, with encyclopedia about everything we can skip t1 magic and go straight to the t2 one day when we get 2 gems from hounds (optimistic, i know), way to deal with monkeys without extermination, ability to instantly grow food, fish farm with fish book and cannons, after t2 magic you will have the ability to stop smoldering with her firebook, infinite tentacles will get you raincoats...

Seems like you need a mobile base challenge. Either the boat is your base, trying to make a massive one could be a goal, or landlocked to the entire map without any permanent structures/ without staying in the same place two nights.

If you want a more open challenge, maybe do something like character limitations, pacifist wigfrid(someone else did that but in solo ds) for example. You have the full world but still with limitations

There is actually a weed you can grow to get nitre known as the tilt weed, which raises the ground like when you first use the thing to make farm turf, if you got forgetmelots in a separate plot that would’ve been good fillers, also the spiders might’ve broke the decorations if they were harmed, so make sure you murder them in a way the detaches them from the nest. Edit: wait why is the decorations still up, did he replace them or did he detach them to where they weren’t apart of the same nest?

Bringing the standard pinecones would grant you access to all kinds of stone once the tree petrification would kick in

I havent really invested myself in anything moon quay yet (something about getting robbed by boat doesnt quite sound pleasant ya know) so just the video idea sounds like its hell

You ask for maybe something that doesn't make u stay on the same place for ever so what's for you the complete opposite? What do you think about living like nomads that continously change their living place setapping camps? (maybe without broken place to stay too long) This could take some extra cool things about the older videos and put you to stay more in various biomes..i don't really know how to put rules or other things but the concept could be cool, this could be more like a rp challenge idk but maybe can give you some idea. Anyway like always very good video and i think that the deerclopes coming out of the portal was obviously canon

Next Challange that doesn't get you stuck in base ever. No Base Challange: you can't spend more than 1 day in one place, (2 nights near the same campfire or just sit and idle anywhere for too long) you can't make farms and replant stuff in 1 place you can't make "rooms" like kitchen with crockpots and iceboxes etc. but you can build lonely structures by themselves in separate locations
