When i go to the airport to walk around, i would eat at the staff canteen. I think in terminal one and two you could find them. There is also a food court in terminal 3 basement
do consdier trying Song Fa Bak Kut teh. its in the basement floor of the Jewel that serves Peppery Pork soup with salted vegetables and rice. ( its a local flavor ! ) and having Kaya toast with Kopi ( Local slang for Coffee ) at Fun toast or Ya Kun Kaya Toast both of which the Jewel should have.
Visa-free tourist entry for UK citizens, I think. Singaporean tourists don’t need visas to enter the UK and these things are usually reciprocal. Edit: ah, you did realize that, eventually. 😂
Every terminal and the Jewel have their respective food courts. Basement of Jewel has got 2 major supermarkets, a food court, fastdoods and tons of restaurants and cinema. I live nearby. I go there pretty often to pick up clothes and groceries and dine there. Shops and restaurants from ground floor up tend to be flashier and pricier. :)
It's amazing how the brits are cautious about spending every penny nowadays. They used to boss around in Asia but now come on budget trips in which 30 pounds is too much to spend. Interesting. Anyway, glad you had a good tour of the airport.
As budget backpackers we are of course cautious with spending. The backpacker scene is massive - the market for these budget backpackers is also massive!
