I really appreciate all of your videos. I've given thought of being a CRNA but I'm not even an RN. I changed to working on becoming a PA and will apply this upcoming cycle.

So helpful! I'm going into ku 3rd year of undergrad at KU locating at MD, Nurse Anesthesia schools, nursing, biochem, clinical lab science. Watching this makes it reassuring that I can always get a career degree and always go back to school. I'm poor and can't afford to not work, so this helps me decide "okay I can be an RN and work and save and go back and do more such as Biochem or etc" thank you!

I went to art school and obtained a bachelors degree in fine art a few years ago. I have been working various jobs to make income and continue building my portfolio. I am not happy with my career path, although I still love making art. I want something stable and fulfilling. I love science and biology too. My mom is a nurse and my cousin is a CRNA and she loves it! I am excited to begin this new path although I feel like I have some serious catching up to do.

When you stated that you was a double major , Psychology & Nursing, I immediately clicked the follow button, lol 😂!!! I’m right now in the beginning stages of trying to take the necessary pre-requisites to getting into the Nursing program, at my local community college, I also have less than 25 credit hrs left for Psychology , at my local state college. I have looked at the school in which I want to do CRNA school, looked at the requirements and have a plan / layout of what route I need to take, 🤔… I’m currently am at the community college, to obtain a certificate of proficiency, in Biomedical Engineering Technology & I’m in last semester, as well as taking Pre-Calculus Trig (for Psychology degree)… My plan is to basically take my hard classes at the community college ( the school that I want to go to requires that I take College Physics 1 , Biochemistry & even further College Physics 2 (optional 😳))… I want to, off the bat, go into ICU , to gain the critical skills & care, first… I know what I want & in the past , I have always asked the opinions of others & what they think 🤔 & had self doubts but not anymore… I had to focus on my health ( was diagnosed with a pseudo-papillary tumor w/ goiter mass , traveling down the left thyroid, in mid chest area, 2 bouts of Covid, this past year)… I’ve prayed about it, cried about it, stressed about it & talked & thought about it… Thank god I’m a veteran because the medical care that I’m receiving is good 👍🏾… This past Fall semester, my grades turned out great ( took A&P 1 , over again (5 yr lapse), Electronic Devices ( a lil physics in it) & Pre-Calculus Algebra & received two B’s & one C… Since I have to worry about my health, I tend to focus more on my studies, on getting good grades & to accomplish on my goal to becoming a CRNA… Thank God I came across your channel and you have a new follower 😏😉…

In an ABSN program with 2 semesters left and looking into becoming a CRNA. Trying to keep the grades all 3.5 - 4.0 range and thinking of an externship, then joining military as an RN critical care for experience and having school paid for in the future + a stipend for my family while being a student.

some online nursing/healthcare spaces are claiming it's getting harder for new grad CRNAs to get work since more people are going to and graduating from CRNA programs. and that it'll only get harder. since all CRNA programs in a few years will be forced to change into a doctorate program it might ease that issue but are you seeing or hearing about this oversaturation issue in your area?

Great question. I am an experienced CRNA. There are a lot of job opportunities when you become a CRNA. I am constantly getting emails from recruiters about jobs. There is still a shortage in anesthesia providers. At this time, I do not think you will have a problem with finding a job. This is from my experience.

I wanted to ask if you have ever had someone reach out to you and follow you around to see your routine or maybe with another CRNA is that allowed? It’s different in places but I live in Arizona. Are there programs highschoolers can do? thanks so much!!!!

I'm 29 years old and won't graduate with my ADN until I'm 31. I've finished all my pre-reqs (and even some BSN pre-reqs) - I'm just waiting for the Fall classes to begin. I plan on going on to my BSN after ADN and eventually become a CRNA. I'm just afraid I've waited too long. 10 years of my career life has been wasted.

Hello. I’m currently a nurse. I have two bachelors degrees one in nursing and bachelor’s degree in science. My science classes such as organic chemistry and biochemistry were not that strong. I will like to apply to medical school. But I’m not 100% if I would make a strong candidate.

Gosh, u give me such a strong motivation. I’m now 24, married, thinking to have a baby, I have an associate degree in different field, and I want to change my major and go back to school for nursing and eventually after couple years I become A CRNA. But I’m thinking it will be hard to go for it since I’m planning to have a baby, you know family thinking might stop me doing it, from your experience in life, I would love to get your opinion??? Is it too late or impossible to do it? 😕

hi i'm a senior in high school and now it's time to apply to schools. I received my pharmacy tech certification and realized I don't like pharmacy. So, that was good I started that program in high school so I wouldn't waste my time in college. However, now Im thinking between nurse practitioner or nurse anesthetist. Im still not sure. I do know ill get my BSN in nursing so then I can decide which path to take throughout the years.

I am a sophomore high school student who's goal is to become a CRNA. It seems difficult but worth it. I'm just very curious if it's required to get a BSN and if it's hard to get a job as an ICU nurse right after you got your BSN. Also does being a male and a bilingual speaker bring any benefits?

I recently received my BS in Biomedical Science and somewhat relate to your story in regard to not being aware of CRNA’s. My plan was to go to medical school but after changing those plans I found myself at a loss. My question is... since I already have my Bachelors I honestly don’t want to start over and get my BSN. I’ve heard that in order to get into a CRNA program, you must have your MSN. Do you have any advice on what path to take in order to become a crna ?
@ThriveCRNA
@ThriveCRNA 4 года назад
Thanks for your comment. I would recommend applying to an accelerated BSN program. Some programs are approximately 18 months. After graduating, you will need to obtain a minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience in order to apply to CRNA school. I have some videos on how to become a CRNA fast as well as easy tips to become a CRNA. I would recommend watching a few of those videos. I hope this helps.

Hi really good video keep it up. I just turned 17 the year after this year I will go university maybe do medicine or nursing degree. My question is that bachelor nursing is 4 years and in America crna school is 2 1/2years so does it take approximately 7 years to become a full crna. Thanks

So just to clarify if I get my bachelors in a pre med major such as bio science and decide to become a crna I would have to take a year accelerated program? is there anything shorter or is that the only way?
@ThriveCRNA
@ThriveCRNA 4 года назад
If you graduate college with a bachelor's from a non nursing degree, you will have to do an accelerate BSN program. Some of the programs are intense and as short as 18 months to become a nurse. This is one of the shortest routes in order to become a nurse.
@najat4339

There’s no such thing as a pre-med major. You can have any major to apply to med school as long as you take the pre med prerequisites. You can get your bachelors in nursing and take med pre reqs. By the time you graduate you can be a nurse and be eligible to apply to med school if that’s what you decide.
