If I could afford it I would get this done. It would honestly be a dream come true. I wish this procedure could be more acceptable to lower income. I don’t know how but that’s another story. I love Joe he is so honest and obviously knows what he is doing. If I would choose anyone to do my surgery it would be him.
Guy is totally passionate about his job! Id say the most impressive thing about his work is how natural ppl look. I wanna look 10-12 years younger and real NOT 20 years younger and fake!
@@jniamtuiii Hello Dr. I am so fascinated by your beautiful work .I am from Syria I don't know if you heard about this country....its in middle east near Turkey and Jordan anyway I would love to send you my photos for your opinion about me having a face lift and eye lift is it possible to have an email to where I can sent those photos thanks so much by the way I moved to Canada Montreal few years ago and would love to get an appointment to come see you soon.....thanks so much
If I EVER have enough money for face lift , the only Doctor that I trust and will let do it work on my face it will be YOU.. But so far this is just a dream😞❤️
Great work in the photo gallery. It's obvious that some of these people, side on, have had chin implants also. Fantastic job - what a life changer for these people.
GREAT NEWS!! A decade or longer, woo-hoo! I can't wait! Yep I got that "turkey neck" from my Mama 🙄 I do believe in genetics, how you take care of your body and how you live! Very informative video! Beautiful results as always!!!
I am so excited. I will be scheduling an appointment with Dr Niamtu this year. I am so looking forward to getting the upper/lower eye lids & derp plan face lift. I will be flying from Fl. I will def ask Fr Niamtu to do a video, & I will video or take pics of my progress. Much ❤️
🤔….. and for us “follicly challenged” guys 👀 (perhaps you can relate? lol), are traditional facelifts an option? I have male-pattern baldness and have been shaving my head for about 20 years now. I like the look and never need a haircut! I’m just wondering if surgical techniques have advanced over the years to the point where scarring is minimal and perhaps even difficult to detect by others, unless they know where to look? Great video by the way - and those before and after photos are amazing! I’m glad that I found your channel.
i have done it on several bald males with pretty good scars, it is pretty good unless someone has very excessive neck skin which requires larger incisions.
I love the passion that comes across in your videos! Question: I have read about this ‘ponytail’ facelift technique which avoids the incision in front of the ear - how would that, in your expert opinion, hold up in terms of longevity compared to a traditional facelift?
Thanks for the video... Not really clear what "lasts" means. But let's think this through. Let's say we have 50 year old twin brothers and one of them gets a facelift and looks 8 years younger. So when you say that a facelift typically "lasts" about 10 years, that means that at age 60, one twin will look 52 and the other will look 60. And they will continue to age beyond that, and one will always look 8 years younger. So what exactly is the significance of the 10 years "last" time?
You can never assign an "age" of rejuvenation. You can't make someone look a certain age, you can make them look as good as they can for their age. You may make their neck look like it did 20 years ago when their skin excess is removed. Thanks for watching.
Great vid. The enthusiasm is so refreshing. Is there something about the procedures you perform on men that prevent the neck and jawline from being more defined? There's obvious improvement between the before and after pictures. But they all still have a kite-like formation from chin to neck and a faintly more defined jawline. Are there methods to further improve the lines there that you don't perform? Some of the women have gone from nearly no definition from chin to neck to very well defined, almost 90 degree turns going from chin to neck with clear jawlines. Are our mugs just that stubborn? Thank you for all of the great information!
It is really not necessarily the technique but more the patients existing anagomy. If the voicebox and the neck muscles are further back, you can get a great neck/chin angle. If that is anatomy is more forward, then the angle is less impressive. Good question, thanks for watching.
@@jniamtuiii Thank you! I didn't think about how generally, females have smaller voice boxes and muscles in that area. That helps explain a lot of the sharpness you're able to achieve with their anatomy over some of the male's in your gallery.
You are so real Dr. Niamtu !!! You are speaking the truth --- I wish I could be in your country... Thank you so much for the info ! Sending greetings and love from Greece ❤️
Love your videos Dr Joe. I regret spending time in the sun in my younger days. I am 55 years old and have excess skin around my neck. I had no idea that sunbathing would cause more damage than good.
I would like a facelift. I'm 56 good skin but my neck is starting to get really saggy. Where is the nearest airport to you? I would be coming from Spain. Many thanks for your answer in advance.
We see many out of town patients and are set up to make it safe and easy. Airport is RIC (Richmond International Airport), Richmond, Virginia. 90 miles south of Washington, D.C.
I am almost saying that you"Doctor"are spesialized in the neck. You are not Nerdy, you are loving it. Again, all the way from Holland. BTW, if you had a facelift, and its ageing, is it not an option to work here and there with fillers?
Hello my genius Dr you are amazing please how can I contact with you I want to send you my picture and I want to know how much it's going to cost for a face lifting I can wait to do my surgery and you are the one the genius doctor you're going to do it for me I love you so much doctor Joe
He's right. I had a facelift when I was 59 and it was awesome! But by the time I was 68 I noticed I had turkey neck and sagging jowls again so I just had my second facelift at 69 and now I got another 10 years to go!
Dr. Niamtu, I am planning to have a facelift at 66 years old mainly to correct fairly significant nasolabial folds which make my face as a whole look drawn down and basically worn out looking. Will the facelift get rid of my folds, and if not, what will that has the potential to last for desired 10 year period? Also, will the deep creases from the folds ever disappear or be dramatically improved?
NL folds are variable and do improve with facelift but don't "go away" Some patients still need filler from time to time to improve. Also some docs do fat injection. They can be improved but not eliminated
The nomenclature is very confusing. Technically a midfacelift is for the cheeks, if you are 62, you need a regular face and neck lift, don't fall for shortcuts or you can end up with a shortcut result.
How do U fix the 2 bands that run like train tracks from your chin to your chest? I didn't see any neck lifts for this type of neck problem. What can B done that isn't too invasive. How much would it cost. A ball park price. High & low prices. I like that u only do the face & neck. I think doctors who do it all are not the right ones to see for a face lift. I wouldn't go to a foot doctor to fix my face. same for boobs I prefer a doctor who does 1 thing well. I have however heard of some new ways to fix the neck bands which makes me look old. I forgot what they r called, but they can fix necks which make me look older. I did have a face life over 37 years ago. I still look 20ty years younger than I am. Just my neck bands bother me & maybe fixing my lip lines from smoking many years ago. I also had my lower lids done, but the doctor some how sewed the corners of my eyes so they do look a bit un-natural. Not terrible, but wondered if they could B fixed to look more like a normal eye corners close to the hairline part. Not the inner part of the eye. Any ideas would B appreciated. I am in CA. Thanks for your love of what U do! That is the best.
If you have bands then you need a face and neck lift nothing else will treat them. Fees are on our website under patient information at www.lovethatface.com
Why don't we see more follow up pictures 5 and 10 years out? I have been told that after a year is when a lot of the results become less desirable once all the swelling has gone down and the healing is complete. It is interesting that we often don't see any pictures of what the patients look like after one year. If there is no follow up past 1 year then how can you say a facelift lasts 10 years etc...? Is there a way for patients to really educate themselves because the before and after pictures are not extensive enough? They should do before and after videos so we can see the patient dynamically moving instead of in a pose often with different lighting and makeup.
I have some on my site. A facelift generally lasts about a decade and the face and continues to age. Most people have enough aging at 10-15 years to to have a revision. Thanks for watching.
I am goin* to have a half lift and neck and I’m very worried never told anyone and now worried I’m going to come home as if I have been in a fight. What can I take to help reduce the bruising
Dear Dr. Joe, how long should I stay there if I come for surgery. What would you need if I schedule the surgery? Can all be done in 5 days - consultations/surgery? Will you need any lab results that I can bring with me? And how much would it approximately cost me? Do you have hotel by the clinic? How soon we can schedule the surgery? Thank you in advance!
@@jniamtuiii oh sorry, I meant “lip lift”, which is an in-office surgical procedure that shortens the space between the nose and the top of the lip, known as the “philtrum.”
@@Sathyaana Ah, got you. I do a fail number of lip lifts, but a lot of people are not interested. It is always an option I offer. Some people are interested in multiple procedures and some only want one thing. Thanks for watching.
Why is no attention given to the skin at the back of the head? My skin in the back is very lose and would that not cause the facelift not to last very long. One would think with all we do with our hair there would be a lot of pulling on that skin.
Thanks for watching. I am a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a board certified cosmetic facial surgeon. Being a "plastic surgeon" does not ensure safety or outcome. Numerous specialties perform cosmetic facial surgery including plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oculoplastic surgery, ENT surgery and dermatology. Whomever you may choose, pay more attention to their training, experience, and outcomes than to their specialty. There are plastic surgeons that do a lot of cosmetic surgery and some that do none or very little. There is a lot of hype out there about only choosing a single specialty. I am sure whomever you choose you will do well. Dr. J
im 54 now, i noticed the drastic ravages in my looks, things have gone south, if ever i would have the chance to have a facelift, time n finances n all, i would only have it handled by a super specialist like dr joe......
We are not permanent ! Indeed! I ve done it at 46 years old and after 3 years i ve done it PDO threads do not make it again... oh my god... didn t last doc.. regards from Europe.
We don't use disolvable sutures (they cause more inflammation) and we use silicone scar gel and inject thickened tissue with steroids as soon as it manifests.
I love the fact that you actually use 'older people as examples ....uhmm yea these drs that use 30 yr olds as models I'm sorry it's just annoying...lol anyway I genuinely respect and appreciate your true sense of realism..im absolutely going to go forward
Thanks for realizing that! My before and afters contain real, actual people in all races, genders, sizes, shapes and ages. That is the honest way to do it.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I respect your opinion, but do you see ads from Lexus, Mercedes, Tesla, Ferrari, Louis Vuitton, Channel, Rolex, etc? Companies that are great at what they do always continue to keep their brand in the public eye. Dr. Joe :)
I am going to confess something. I did my own left. I did section at a time. It taught we a great deal about skin. I did it with no stiches. I found one side of my face needed more lift then the other. I would not do my kneck on my own though.
@@jniamtuiii l did. And l did a very good job. I educated myself on the dangers. I did first my left side, around the ear as you would do. l lifted above my ear about two inches and around my ear another two. l did a complete brow lift. I did the top of my eyes as well. I did not do my kneck as l have weight to lose plus l don't think l could do my kneck successfully. . I took off only the skin and fat. I did not go into the smaze. I used all the correct tools. I did not use stiches as they just tore out. I had to put a lot of pull on the skin. I used skin glue and bandaids. I changed them every day and pulled the skin tighter together each time. There is next to no scaring. I pulled the skin tight from the back of my head. It is really tight now. I did not worry to much about scaring in and around my head as l was losing my hair as l aged. I depend on wigs now. I had no swelling and no brussing. Of course it took longer to heal but l had complete control of how it healed. I am 63 and could never afford to do it through regular means. I wish l could show you pictures as l documented step by step. I am an artist working with oils for many year so l had a very good sense of depth perception. Blood does not bother me at all. I used a 1 percent lidicain making sure nothing got into my blood directly. I researched all the danger spots on the face so that l avoided them. I did do a fare amount of bleeding but l could caulterize if l needed to. I really didnt like to do it if l didn't need to. I used the lidicain only as needed. I cleaned everything with alcohol each time l used my tools. I never got any infection at all. I believe l got a better job done then with a doctor could do with all the limitations they have. I am just healing my right eye as l did not do both eyes at the same time in case of infection. I will say that the skin around the eyes was very hard to heal without stiches but when it did heal you cant even see where l did it. Anyway l just wanted to tell someone. Thank you for you time.
This is going to be my christmas present . I have some more weight to lose my neck is so sagging dbl chin under my eyes my eye dr funny i ask him one day how to get rid of bags under eyes he like they are genetic. It looks like i was punched in eyes Thank goodness i wear glasses. I know what ppl will say i dont care my body face and i not happy with it. Hate selfies. Pictures and mirror. Cant wait .
The female at the beginning of this video looks as if she received more than a facelift. My God, looks like she had gotten a jaw implant. Can a facelift actually make the jaw gain that much volume? It has to be an illusion unless you actually added some implant.
@@jniamtuiii I believe you because I have noticed the same pattern in the typical facelift in that the face seems to become broader and more heart-shaped and usually more attractive. But when I objectively measured from the corner of the mouth to the narrowest part of the jaw it still seems there's more jaw there than what can be accounted for. But then again, in the after shot her lips are mildly parted which may account for that. She looks great though. Truly a life-changer for her, I'm sure. Oh, just one more thing, did she get her cheeks volumized somehow, or is that also just the results of the facelift? I thought only a deep plane could do that.
@@silversurfer4441 I think the only thing we did was facelift, cheek implants and eyelids. There is so much misinformation about deep plane facelift. A well done deep plane facelift has no advantage over a well done traditional SMAS lift. Much of what is said in favor of any single lift is just marketing.
@@jniamtuiii Thanks Doc! That's a pretty good look on you btw! I love your work! Going for the upper eyelids, coronal brow and forehead, SMAS and neck tomorow in SF! I wish you had and office here! Very good videos! you should get a segment on TV!
Gosh. Think how much better this would have been without the repetitions and waffling. Next time, script the spiel, practice it and stick to the script.
Hi Dr...I just came from a consultation for a facelift and the dr said i don't need one yet but if I get it now he would be afraid that I will need another one sometime and it could be dangerous to do another...what do you think of that? bc when you do a second facelift you have to go over the old suters and something could go wrong..like hitting a nerve etc. so it seems as if he was saying it's best to only get one facelift ever.
I can't say if you are or are not a candidate for a lift, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with having an additional lift. I do it routinely. Previous sutures are no problem and cutting nerves is not different from previous surgery. Secondary facelift surgeries are very common.
Had my SMAS facelift 4 months ago. People who have never met me are in shock when they hear I am 55 years old. They all think I am alot younger. I just say thank and don't say a word on my secret 🤭
