As a Mavs fan it's crazy how a lot of folks on the interweb didn't believe the Mavs were that formidable. Even Mavs fans were burying Kidd. Hopefully this run will open eyes of the fools that have the MVP votes. Luka should be a perrenial MVP entry...

Derek Jones Jr. is on a vet minimum contract and is guarding the other teams' best scorer (Paul George, Shai, and Ant Edwards) and hitting a respectable percentage of his 3's. How is he not top 5?

These guys must not watch basketball. To say that Dallas defense has been shit until the playoffs is just plain dumb. There defense has been phenomenal the last 2 months of the regular season and carried over. And to say Derrick Jones jr. Isn't great because he signed for the league minimum is crazy. There are star players stuck on bad teams not using them right. Put them in the right situation and it shows. Derrick Jones might be the most athletic player on the team and can jump out the gym.

The last regular season match up was a Mavs team that didn't gel yet. Different starting line up even. Don't exoect any blow outs like that coming up..

they can't jrue is too small to luka... dort can defend luka much better... and mc Daniel's has length can't stop luka.... only injury can stop or slow luka.... if boston play like they play in Indiana.... is easy for dallas to win it all... they can't stop dallas lob treat with there line up....

The thing about Kidd is that he is great when everything aligns and he has stepped up with better adjustments and schemes. The problem was that when the personnel doesn't match his vision, he won't get the most out of the group like Spoelstra does, if the team is not on the same page, he is not the type that will slowly help and build up the team, he is that type that throw them in the fire until they figure it out, for instance, he won't call a timeout when needed on purpose just to see how the players react to adversity. So, like I said, all of that can work great with the right group, maturity, etc. but it can be VERY UGLY and frustrating when it's not working. From last season Kidd showed to be less stubborn and came back with better out of timeout plays, last season was very predictable plays, everybody knew what the Mavs were going to run. So right now the Mavs have the right personnel, they went through it, learned together, they are in sync, everything looks good, Credit to Kidd for that, but it was a fair assessment when everybody wanted him out - the reason it worked is because although from the outside it looked bad, the players still had his back, obviously if he had lost the lockerroom he would be gone and I doubt they would have been able to reach the NBA Finals.

Wes Goldberg might actually have trouble processing basketball if he really thinks Brown has been Bostons best player. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he’s hate watching and just especially hates Tatum.

Mavs will win the title. Luka and Kyrie are on a mission and the Mavs defense has become the best in the biz. Stellar defense, TWO super star closers and a deep supporting cast = Title.
