NEW! JOHN LENNON MIND GAMES DELUXE BOX SET REVIEW: • JOHN LENNON MIND GAMES...
ALL NEW VIDEOS AT: / @larrygravescanadianst...
MY FINAL CANADIAN STUDMUFFIN VIDEO FOR THIS CHANNEL: • SAYING GOODBYE TO THIS... I've lost monetization on this channel and my appeal was rejected with no reason given for what I've done wrong. If anyone would like to donate I would really appreciate it: paypal.me/canadianstudmuffin I rely on income from RU-vid to help pay my bills as I no longer work due to health issues. I was on disability but that ended in 2023 when I turned 65. Another way to help out is to join my Patreon song and album requests channel at / larrygraves . I can't reapply for monetization until Sept. 15th. but I think I am sadly done with this channel. I will only be only uploading new content on my 2nd channel (which is still monetized) at / @larrygravescanadianst... so please subscribe.
P.S I've received a lot of kind words and donations and I truly thank everyone for their help!
Thank you to the following viewers who have donated or become a Patreon member:

Thank God for Larry Graves. We need more funny/ bright folks in this world. 😻PS: we used to go see a band in Buffalo from Canada called the Forgotten Rebels; SN@FU, and there was a cool band, Teenage Head.

I had a dream last night that you were the lead singer of Sparks and you sang Nothing is as Good as They Say It Is on camera, because you had never done that before.

The first hit song for April Wine is Fast Train and not Could Have Been A Lady. They were still based in Halifax at the time. April Wine used to play at our school dances at Vanier High school in Moncton N.B. 😎👍

I made a mistake on the name of April Wine 's drummer it should be Mercer and not Mercier. Don't know why I said it that way. Sorry about that. 😎👍

I know about a sixth of those songs. I remember Echo Beach and that Life Is a Highway song being popular in Australia. Btw, I just heard a song from a Canadian band called Moxy - very impressed. I had never heard of the band. I’m keen to hear more from them.

I know all the songs and I'm not even a Canadian, I'm an American. I guess each song/artist got a Juno for something or another on this collection.

Hey friend! Watch your channel all the time! Im a fellow Canadian and lover of high-quality music. Still, there's one Canadian band I hadn't heard of until about 10 years ago. The band in question is "KLAATU". They were a great, underrated band in their own tight, but their main claim to fame was the long-debunked rumor that they were in fact, really The Beatles, but under a different name and secret identies. I was wondering what you thought of KLAATU? In hearing them now, it seems ridiculous that some actually thought that this Canadian trio was the "Fab 4" and they never claimed to be , but you can certainly see the influence.

For me as a german i was always interested in music from Canada (Red Rider/Tom Cochrane, Bruce Cockburn,...) often more than from America. Here are my results how many do i know: CD1: 8 CD2: 13 (!) CD3: 7 CD4: 11 Not bad, i think.

No Hold On by Ian Thomas? I'm surprised I know about 80% of the songs on this list. Some I never knew were Canadian. Just Between You and Me was a great April Wine song. I actually liked Which Way You Goin' Billy. I know about 90% of the 70's songs. Music Box Dancer and the Skylark song were great songs and got a lot of play in the states. A little trivia on Seasons in the Song. Terry Jacks produced a recording of that song by the Beach Boys but they didn't use it so he recorded it. The rest is history.

Hello again Larry 😎you mentioned in your video that you were not familiar with the song As The Years Go By by the group Mashmakan. I suggest that you check it out, it's still having airplay today and is considered a classic rock song. Within the last couple of years I became friends with Pierre Senechal who wrote the song which made a tremendous impression and a big hit in Japan because they liked the melody. Pierre told me that when they played in Japan they were received like gods. Gerry Mercier was playing drums with Mashmakan and was April Wine's drummer on almost all the albums if not all of them. Just thought you would appreciate a little Canadian music history. Please check out As The Years Go By, would like to have your comments on this song. Pretty sure when you hear it you will say oh yeah I heard this before. 😎👍

I listened to it but I've never heard the song before. I didn't listen to the radio much, so maybe that's the reason.

The way you sing those songs they all sound kinda similar. And quite a few of the songs are known in Europe as well, most people might not know they were from Canada. I think, I knew half the songs and the majority of the artists.
