These videos are great for people like me who have no retailers in their location that sell Criterion. The novelty of just getting to vicariously shop aisles of Criterions through you really is a weird thing and I'm glad there are people doing it, because I wish so bad I could just walk into a store and do this, but I can't, so this brings me comfort.

With the 4k upgrades to films, its a gamble whether to get bluray or not I am sticking to bluray boxsets for now

Sorry to here that Bill Griff about the video incident. It’s crazy because there are tons of Criterion RU-vidrs who filmed their choices on the B&N stores without incident. Either the lady was just doing her job or just being a Karen. As with the movies, I love your picks, especially with Throne of Blood, The Irishman, The Sword of Doom and The Elephant Man.

Throne of Blood with the best death scene in film. Sword of Doom is kinda great. I mean 2 brilliant actors- Tatsuya Nakadai & Toshiro Mifune.

I have never really understood the No Filming thing and I worked in retail for years. The only explanation that even made a fraction of sense was that you don’t want people to be able to see the video and plan a good way to shoplift, but even that is a bit far fetched to immediately assume

Isn’t half price at Barnes & Noble basically the same price the criterions are everywhere else? I’m a Brit and have seen many Americans say that online. Great pickups though. Can’t go wrong with criterion. We sadly have a fairly limited amount of criterion releases over here.
