This is my second time to ever play live poker in a casino! Day 9 of my journey. I had a lot of great cards, and ended up with several flush hands. If I learn how to bet properly maybe I can take advantage of days like this better?
I play poker at the GSR in Reno at the $1/$2 NL game.

Just found the channel after your last video on the OG channel. Great job! Pocket pairs for a set are one of the more hidden hands that are hard to plan for but as you said, follow his line of betting to read what he may be betting big for.

nice session...you played solid....the set of 3s versus your top 2 pair you are NEVER getting away from as played ...so don't beat urself up over that one...lol......on the A6 hand where u had the nut flush i recommend all in on the river versus 2 opponents rather than a 1/3 value bet....chances are at least one of them has a strong hand there...

I would highly recommend buying in for the max. Scared money doesn't win any money. You don't want to fold because you don't wanna lose your whole stack, or not bet for value because you don't want to get check raised and have to fold with so little behind, or not call an all in with Ace-King because you only have 30 blinds. Regardless of the specifics, having the max or close to it allows you to play your best poker!

Here in Reno, its a little different than most places. The max buy-in is actually $1000 for the $1/$2 game, so 500 big blinds...and im not buying in for that, but I understand the concept. I am playing short stacked for sure with just 50 BB buy-in, but right now im just trying to get comfortable at table. I plan to start going with the more typical 100bb buy-in or so soon. Thanks!

@@coloruppoker In this case, when comfortable, I'd match the big stack at the table in order to take advantage of any opportunities(nuts) that arise.

@@coloruppoker as a new player buying in for 50 BBs is fine...you are on the learning curve...you can increase your buys as you gain experience..

Good day Jeremy. Gotta start paying attention to how the other players are betting and start playing the players and not just your cards. :)

You should buy in for at least 100 big blinds or more.

Eventually when you build up your confidence and bank roll will you go to peppermill? A lot of the poker action is there in this city.

@@coloruppoker Atlantis has a pretty high comp rate for poker but the action is pretty tight. Silver legacy I hear the games are good on weekends at night but only at night really.

Sucks with a hand like the KJ vs 33

Definitely work on bet sizing . Pre flop on a tight table with a good hand should be around 12-15 - if your at a loose table pre flop premium hands can go for 25-50$$ … just my opinion/ experience.. but I’m just like you I buy in for 100 .. and I get your play strategy.. good work !
