The variations of candles should be a) the same simple style (just candle in a jar) and a hell of a lot of fragnances oils etc, or b) a few variations but focusing on the design of the candle and the figure or how is it called in english, container candle, pillar candle, all kinds of designs of candles? What should we go for Erica? Thank you!

Yes!!! I use essential oils for my scent and i have came across my ’coffee’ scent spoiling, which was sad because it is my personal favorite!!

Thankyou sooooo much Erica, I'm sure you have changed alot of peoples minds about what you say about the 4 to 6 rule of fragrances. You couldn't have put it better when you say about categories. I've tried alot of candles with I think 36 to 40 fragrances but not all worked, however they did in wax melts. I did think about 2 months ago I'm gonna start cutting down in candles and just stick to about 10 to 12 fragrances that I know work very well and am very confident that they work beautiful. Your always that 1 step ahead of us in your knowledge of this business and experiences and for that from the bottom of my heart THANKYOU. This business can overwhelm I'm sure alot of us as it did me but following you and your knowledge puts alot of this in prospective and for that a huge thankyou to you. May God bless you. I purchased so many 1 oz fragrances and love most all of them. I finally decided to make wax melts to test the fragrances so I can decide what scents I want to use in my candles. Still testing waxes and wicks, and oh my it is interesting how waxes and wicks work together or not! Thank you for this information, I was planning on doing 10-15 scents and was not thinking how many candles and waxes I would have to make. You are very appreciated by all for being so transparent and helpful 😊

Please make a video of how you choose what scent is going to indicated on your candle label. :) like saturday morning cartoon: lemon, vanilla, sandalwood. because i know there is a lot more scents in the fragrance oil so i am not sure how people are going to indicate What scents should be on label. If you buy quality oils and store them properly, most can last upwards of ten years. I've had very few go bad, compared to what I've owned.

Maybe you could make a video on how to do an online marketing / viral campaigns. I want to know more about buying ads and how to promote my store. The hardest part is drawing customers to your business, how do you menage to get enough of them to do this full time?

I have definitely been wanting to test out some ads just to gain experience in that area. Keep in mind that me being on youtube is a form of advertisement and I know that's something different than most businesses, but a lot of my customers come from Instagram (I have had people at markets tell me that my posts randomly popped up on their feed). I have also been building up a local customer base too and the word of mouth is spreading more and more. I would love to share my experience and results from running ads though!

I started kind of backwards I first released my candle business in August at a pop up shop (sold out 🍾🍾) I created a Facebook page and a tik tok but didn’t have my website ready. So now I’m working on my website however I don’t know how to build the hype of letting everyone know my website is coming soon. I may be overthinking it but I feel like I’ve already launched but only by word of mouth.

I sell primarily wax melts right now (still testing candles) and my first event is coming up. It’s a Christmas event at my local mall and is well advertised. Everyone keeps telling me to make as much as I possibly can but I don’t want to overdo it and be left with tons of holiday melts. It’s two weekends and each day is 6 hours. I was thinking I could make a conservative amount and if they sell out the first weekend I could just make more. Any advice is most welcome 😊

Consider that people will be buying Christmas gifts so scents of all types are good. Because the recipient may burn/melt it at any time of the year. I’d even do gift sets of like fragrances that make it easier for a gift giver to purchase. A lot of times people buy stuff just as gifts and aren’t even into whatever they are buying so if you make it really easy for them that’s even better.

Yes always have a couple of hampers ready with all fragrances because they're are always people that love to buy that beautiful gift for their loved ones. Having a hamper at the ready is always a game changer. I do agree that all round fragrances at an event is way better than seasonal fragrances. Like Erica said and I totally agree, stick to your favourite fragrances and best sellers as appose to getting carried away with tons. I'm making alot of melts and candles the past 5 years and boy have I learned to tone down. I wish you luck in all your makes. 🥰😘

I just started making candles about a month ago and your videos have been so helpful. I’m having trouble with the hot throw, I’m using joy wax bc it’s easier to use to & I’ve tried many diff wicks but I’m still trying to find the right formula. Overall I’ve come a long way thanks to you tho! Closer to the finish line 🫶🏾
