@@mateopascual8527 that's probably your biggest issue, warm up before hand, some light arm movement and get your hears rate up. Then put about 100 pounds on the bar and do a couple sets of 5. Then hit your max
that is very impressive at your weight Alex, I am not sure how old you are but if you work on that for a few months and just progressively overload using dumbells and not a barbell then go back to progressively overloading on a barbell your bench press will go up really fast. I am guessing you are benching around 285, I guarantee you hit 315 if you try. That is what I did to get through my 295 Plateau and it worked. I am up to 335 now but it's taken me all year basically to climb from 315 to 335. I couldn't get 295/300 for a long time man! I was at 191llbs as well, now about 202-204 so I'm sure that made a difference.
I did 20 reps at 225 at 181 @ 16 years old, not so lean like Alex. But to put it into perspektive, among the group of maybe 10 to 15 guys at that age that trained hard I had 2 guys around me at the same age doing more reps. One of us did 20 at 245 , he was heavier tho, and the other one did maybe 21 or 22 so very close but was lighter than me but only 5 feet 2. Alex would be a lot a stronger if he trained before all this influencer bullshit started where people that not have veins on their abs and striations in the glutes Are out of shape. The area I grew up had maybe 100.000 people and this was before everyone trained in gyms so early. The first years you train you should eat a LOT to milk those noobie gains, and back then we read about like the "galloln of milk a day" and such :D Alex has been smart lately to gain a bit of weight, he would be a unit in time if he keeps it up.
Actually it’s the reverse. While there’s some guys with good relative strength usually guys who use drugs have bad RELATIVE gotta emphasize that bc ppl get confused with “weak” vs relative. That happens bc with drugs you basically have permanent noob gains, don’t gotta take sets as close to failure to grow meaning you aren’t as much strength adaptations over time
@@KurokamiNajimi wtf Most people on all physical areas will hop on roids for strength and size gains. Baseball, UFC, lifting, etc. If someone isn't improving their strength, they're doing something wrong.
@@mightymoeish Missing the point yeah they might be stronger but not by as much as you’d think. Don’t you find it odd Will Tennyson for example at 190 pounds is only like 20% weaker than Chris Bumstead who’s around 260 in the off season? Both of who quote on quote only train for size? And it’s not just these 2 who are outliers this pattern is the norm. Then there’s the naturals who are straight up than most of these pro bodybuilders
@@KurokamiNajimi Not comparing one guy to another, but comparing Eubanks strength to his own chest size and development. It's massive and he's barely stronger than me. I find it hard to believe he's joocin.
Wish me luck on getting 225 this year soon cus my current bench rn is 75kg but I have a better routine for chest workout now to increase my bench so wish me luck on getting 225 this year
You think if the weight was controlled better the plates would still be wobbling across the bar? or you think that having plates wobbling across the bar does not make the lift harder? or both? I've been training for 1 year less than Alex. my max bench is higher than his max squat... we are the same height... he's the weakest strong looking guy on youtube. his form shows why. I bet you have a poster of him above your bed.@@blakerankin3968
For sure I thought over 20 boy was I surprised. Considering my max was 28 reps at 185lbs when I was 23 and but I was walking around 14% this dude is lean.
11 female reps nice… Maybe next time since this kid influences other kids he could use proper form keep is back flat on the *** flat bench *** Now I I know why I get looks from kids when I push 225 for 14… Because the Barbie doll idol over here can’t!
