Here's an idea: Western characters Vs Eastern characters. Or "How many times has an eastern character lost to a western character" to fit the format of your titles better.
Now the question for that is: Does Optimus count as an Eastern or Western character? Because his original toy was Japanese under the name "Convoy", but would one count Optimus and Convoy as different characters? Sometimes we know they are, like the original Robots in Disguise Optimus was only named that for brand similarity, as in the original Japanese airing of that show, he was known as Fire Convoy (I think the name was), a different character to the original Convoy.
Most of the time, it's just not a good idea to fight characters that involving Pictures and Reading. You don't know when you fight an actual alien, a literal god, or just an ordinary person that can push feats better than you can.

Either way of Trunks VS Silver they would have chose, one thing was consistent. The video game lost the fight. In that episode's case, Xeno Trunks (who originated in Dragon Ball Online) losing to Archie Silver (who originated in the comics) instead of the normal versions.
Video suggestion: Movies vs Comics vs Live Action TV Shows vs Manga/Anime vs Games vs Web Shows vs Memes/Joke characters vs Cartoons. Which medium has scored more victories on Death Battle?
Okay but I know a few others you missed the 2 Mario and sonic fights (they most likely count as both a win and loss) luigi vs tails (as much as I hate that episode it counts as both a win and a loss as well) shadow vs mewtwo dk vs knuckles the 2 link vs cloud fights Nathan drake vs Lara Croft (another episode I hate I perfect Nathan really) Pokémon battle royal pokemon vs digimon (and yes that also includes lucario vs renamon) and probably a few others as well
Fun fact video games are made so that characters have weaknesses that is meant to be exploited by players and enemies. So it makes sense when video game characters loose more often.
Bowser should of won against ganon and just to make sure they don't get it wrong, I want them to do Bowser vs Sephiroth and if they somehow get it wrong, I want them to delete the video and make a new.
I notice you always treat the Samus Aran vs Boba Fett fights as a rematch when it just a REMASTER. Apart from the inclusion of background info (height, weight, full name, etc) was not included in the first video, all the relevant stats (weapons and armor) are the same. The script is only slightly modified, being nearly identical, down to the same jokes. The only proper rematches have been Goku vs Superman and Mario vs Sonic; both of which bring new material to their fights. Even Boomstick shouts "It's time for a Death Battle REMASTERED" before the fight. I feel counting the remaster as a rematch skews your statistics slightly. Otherwise I love the statistics. Almost forgot Link vs Cloud had a rematch. I say rematch because, again, new content the second time around.
Honestly, IMO Link VS Cloud 2 was more of a revisit than a rematch, if that makes sense. Like for example, for Mario VS Sonic both 2011 and 2018, you could argue both episodes are accurate since they composited Archie Sonic with Game Sonic back then, as well as new games (and subsequent new power-ups/abilities) being taken into account for the rematch. Clink 2021 however, the main things they gave to Cloud to justify their reasoning was surviving Sephiroth's supernova attack and scaling to Bahamut's travel speed, both of which were preformed before 2012, meaning they were feats that were readily available and should've been taking into account back then. In other words, there really isn't any reason Cloud should've lost. It was more of a showcase for how much better their research is than a rematch using new material (like Goku VS Superman 2 was)
Trying to think what other categories would be big enough. Comics are obviously big enough, honestly might be too big. Western animation definitely has enough too. You could also make a hero vs villain (or protagonist vs antagonist) list. I’ve heard people say Death Battle is biased towards heroes winning. Specially with DIO vs Allucard coming up, that would fit into that group nicely, so it’d make sense to do before or after.
@@JosephRiveraSantiago0617 Yeah true, but there’s also things like Guts VS Nightmare, Metal Sonic VS Zero, Balrog VS TJ Combo, etc. I’m honestly not sure if there is a bias or not though, just something I hear get tossed around sometimes, so it’d be cool to see the numbers.
Nagito had to use four different poses after four video game characters lose in a row after Samus wins the first one. It took a while for Chiaki to show up again with that Wii theme. Then we get three video game character wins in a row but Chiaki just use the same pose, unlike Nagito
In a 2021 episode of DEATH BATTLE CAST, they pointed out that if they DID used the Supernova thing in Sephiroth VS Vergil and Link VS Cloud (2021), then Tifa would definitely win. And if it was that way, then the episode wouldn't have that much hate. But don't expect them redo the MU. So until then, just look at the alternate reality in Deadpool VS Mask.
@@kingnutbuster4978 I think it's more with how they weren't as good as they are now, yes they may still make mistakes but back then a lot of them didn't have as deep an analysis
Besides the Smash and Anime videos in which featured Waluigi and Green Lantern, why do several of your list show Nagito Komaeda each time (besides a RWBY victory due to reasons) a character losing based on a specific thing?
Uh... You forgot Hercule Satan VS Dan Hibiki, which was also a Video Game Loss. And the people have to remember what you said about Digimon in your Anime Loss video. Two things, one: Remember the company that made DEATH BATTLE! before the Rooster Teeth merge focused more of Video Games than other material. It all changed later as time went on. Two: This means Weiss VS Mitsuru is the only one you like since the RWBY character lost, I also assume since that was the only RWBY episode where no clip played after the result.
RWBY. Which means he hates Yang VS Tifa and Blake VS Mikasa. I'm not even sure if he hates Mega Man VS Astro Boy. I doubt it, since it was treated normally.
@@geelangade576 The research wasn't very strong back then. And a 2021 DB Cast said that if they did the Supernova thing, The Eco-Fighting Heavy Fighter would have one. It also didn't help that it was mainly made to promote RWBY Volume 3 and the best feat they gave Yang was destroying a pillar.
@@hagfish4998 Sonic didn't originate from comics either, yet Archie Sonic is counted as a comic book character for the same reason of that specific incarnation of Sonic being from comics just like how King Mickey is specifically from the Kingdom Hearts games.
True, but Deathbattle specifically used the Kingdom Hearts incarnation of Mickey which is why he counts as a video game character. Basically the same reason why Archie Sonic isn't here despite Sonic the Hedgehog making his debut in video games.
Seeing Chiaki in the Thumbnail makes me happy She isn’t in a DB, Because she genuinely Could be, But the Opponent not only Stomps her unless we use a Different Series (That being Tari from SMG4, But if we Use Meta Runner Tari, It’s More Fair, But Chiaki still loses.) And DR is more or less Pretty Obscure to Shows like DB. So, I pray to god Chiaki Doesn’t Get a DB, or a DR Character for that matter, Unless it’s Junko, DR Fans would celebrate her losing in a DB. But realistically, the Most likely Match Is Makoto vs Phoenix Wright. And I have some idea of why People say Phoenix Wright wins, If your saying in a Case, I think? But I still highly doubt it due to the nature of DR Cases, But (Spoilers, But I doubt if you care if your reading this far) DR1 Cases are pretty Tame to SDR2 and V3, If you pair any Ace Attorney Character Against Hajime or Shuichi, In a Debate, They’re Ultra Screwed. If you know the context then you should Most likely Agree, Considering the Class Trials that Take Place in Those Games, but if you don’t, The Cases in those games Trump anything I’ve Seen from the Ace Attorney Series, Especially the Chapter 5 Ones. But back to the main topic; in a Brawl, Most likely, Yes, Because Phoenix Wright is a Full Grown Adult while Makoto is simply a Teen. I don’t really know wether it’s because people haven’t Seen DR, Or Phoenix Wright Has some Hax that Can Give him the win, Because I genuinely don’t know (if you Do know, Please Please PLEASE Let me know Why Phoenix Wright Wins.) But to me, It more or less just seems like a 50/50, Or a flat out Tie. Quick Edit: I love how this went from a conversation about Opponents to A full Debate, Lmao.
Makoto can scale to some feats He scales to Toko, who dodged bullets in UDG, putting her at Mach 2 Makoto is simply too fast but that’s not it In the anime, Chiaki punches Teruteru across the room, which is actually street tier, and remember Chiaki is extremely lazy, so Makoto should be stronger So to put it simply Makoto is too fast and strong for Wright But I know nothing bout Ace Attorney, so if someone has better feats for Phoenix I’d like to hear:)
