MaxPax has always been an A.I. He has great micro, has little variety, and ZERO ability to play live. Put it all together.

In the 3rd game maxpax had half the army supplies for like 4 minutes straight and still managed to hold

@@Jet-ij9zc Having half the Army isnt that bat as it sounds. Espeacially if you have high value units it is not a big deal. It is legit normal to be behind in supply against Terran and Zerg at some point

They're trying. It's just they're more concerned with flexing flawless prism-micro than composing a successful macro strategy.

@@chrishaywood2458 It's just that they're not good enough. They don't have prodigy toss players there. Same as in Europe. Remove Maxpax and the next is Showtime? Showtime is weaker than herO. More like a roll of like if a race gets a godlike player. Zerg won that the roll with Serral.

I don't know if it's a gimmick: It contains the Terran so Toss is free to expand and buy tech, and you can leave the Prism around to be a pain.

Plot twist: What if MaxPax is only a programmer who has made an A.I. which is great at micro but doesn't have a lot of variety?

​@mriconoclast13 or more likely, he has pretty bad social anxiety. Which is something im surprised we don't see more often from pro gamer considering they stay in a room for 12 to 16 hours a day playing a video game.

@@mriconoclast13 How is maxpax exceptional at micro but bad at macro? Maxpax is traditionally the protoss that takes 3rd bases at 4 min so that when he loses his natural to a 2-base timing by the T he doesn't really care that much while T loses most of their army in the push. Maxpax did ridiculously greedy protoss strats long before her0 did them. Meanwhile, his micro is good, but not super impressive, like i feel serral has shown better micro with ling surrounds, mine baiting and splitting on the fly vs. mines and disruptors.

In bronze/lower leagues, protoss would win even on 2 base less than terran, provided the protoss has storms/disruptors/colossi

@ma.justayong4864 in those levels I think the only issue is not spending your resources.

Serral made allot of mistakes that game like three tech transition and Protoss getting a easy free fourth base.

as Lowko says, most stuff wins over less stuff! if you play any race zerg-like, ofc you can win with everyone! just swarm the opponent!

a single game doesnt mean anything. Also it's more Serral losing that game himself than Reynor beating him HerO was dominating PvZ in 2022 pioneering this mass gateway+expand blink stalker+oracle style, until the Z adapted with early +1 melee ling bane.

@@todung7033 I think we have to say knowing the in depth inside professional top tier strategy of the type of race you play against makes a massive impact on how well you play, including when you play a different type of race instead of the same one as your opponent. Playing the same type of race as your opponent makes small mistakes into easy loses as each player always knows when they are ahead.

It is also the fact that Zerg can be vulnerable to poor unit composition if they mass produce their armies mainly for countering certain types of units (either anti air or anti ground), and Reynor has decided to avoid killing units that are either the anti air and transition to a ground based army, or avoid killing units that are anti ground and transition to units that are air based. And instead of going head to head with a Zerg based countering army, Reynor decides to go after hatcheries and Zerg expansions. I think leaving Zerg supply blocked with worse units rather than Zerg constantly able to resupply their army which Zerg has a bonus at, is a tactic I have yet to see that Reynor took into consideration, that I have not seen in other professionals playing against Zerg.

Mines cannot move and shot like disruptors can, and need a few seconds to shoot. Nor can they target buildings. While i agree that widow mines need a nerf, giving the skills you mentioned to the disruptor would make it the best unit, period. There wouldn't be a point in doing anything else save stalkers as AA and "meat" shield. Terran players cannot simply do marines and mines and win.

And can't move and have a 4th the range meaning they very rarely get more then 1 attack in before dying and can't naturally regenerate, etc...

yeah it’s their only good unit besides warp prism.

That'd be completely broken. Maybe a late game upgrade that remove stim dmg and allow marines to stay more relevant later on (something like the lings adrenogland) but giving then the nova stimpack would be ridiculous
