Saying it 3 times in front of a mirror does summon Clem to appear right behind you. But he will build a command centre in your living room and drink all your mountain dew in the fridge. So it's best not to summon him.
I try really hard to A) forget the length of the game and B) forget the title. I'll often open a video in a new tab, randomly close my current tab when I'm done with something else, and find a Lowko video ready to go.
@@LowkoTV That is very true. And yet unbuilt. Hope your recovery is going good and thank you for always showing us great games. Even the mirror matches. 💜
So, bit of Viking lore, per the WoL Armoury, following Lowko's comment about being the pilot. Viking pilots needs to be incredibly agile and flexible. A Viking pilot who has never had to combat transform is called a "cherry" - because they're liable to get "popped" the first time they transform the Viking. So, uhhh, yah, you need to be veeeeery agile to be a Viking pilot.
Also, per the wiki, a bunch of pilots die in training, and most in their first battle. That said, the Viking itself? That ship is a durable, repairable, enduring menace, that can have all its parts hot swapped for other parts. Can salvage an arm to repair a leg, parts are designed with universal access in mind. Being a Viking might not be bad, if you don't mind some blood and guts leaking from the pilot chair every now and then
SPOILERS: Almost clicked off, I actually thought to myself "it would take an instant gg at 4 minutes and a worker pull for this to go 2 more games". I was not disappointed
13:32 it's actually stated in the lore that if the viking pilot doesn't move around inside fast enough then they get crushed by the transformation of the viking.
My immediate answer to which SC unit I'd want to be is the Viking... The one in-game is nice but especially when looking at that HOTS intro cinematic, the way it looks in that is really cool!
Maybe the reason Clem's bio upgrades were late is bc that's what he does to keep the tournament competetive so his opponent can seem to win one legitimately. The fans need the tension. Players at this level don't "forget" to upgrade.
9:15 It would be incredibly cool if different units/races had their vision work differently to each other. Predators see far away in front of themselves whereas prey have their eyes each side of their head for this type of 360° vision, so there are existing examples in nature for players to relate to. Predator type units would be best at scouting and hunting for targets, and prey type units would be easier to protect from nearby enemies trying to sneak up.
Why wouldn't you want to be a Battlecruiser Lowko? You can fly through space and enjoy the view while having all the power in the world if you wanted to. 🤩
@24:57 when a prism gets got like that while zealots are warping in what happens to the zealots? Do they go back to where they came from or is it like a Star Trek The Motion Picture situation? (if you know you know)
I am mad at the first game. Look at the amount of effort Protoss has to put in for making a small amount of damage. Then Terran sends 2 liberators and causes more damage in a few seconds.
Thats BS... 1- You send a ground army as terran to a toss base you get same result if not worst... and as a protoss if you go for oracles/pheonix you get more damage on SCVs than liberators which are hard to setup. Toss was not trying to damage the mineral line, but instead to finish the game by targeting marines, which failed when the medievac came to play... 2- the context is not the same too, toss went 1st and clem army was there, where terran drops were done as counter attack in an empty base of a fully commited toss...
"It's not very good though to rely on your opponent to make a mistake. It's not a very reliable way of winning games" - isn't that how protoss is though at the top level?
Lowko, I'm pretty sure that in the lore of Starcraft 2, during the Wings of Liberty campaign, it is stated that a good chunk of Viking pilots die when the vehicle 'transforms', not sure if that makes it cooler or not, but you should be in the know just in case.
So Lowko mentioned in game 2 the widow mine being burrowed under the siege tank, but then didn't say anything about what it DID. When the Phoenix lifted the siege tank, the widow mine popped out and blew up the Phoenix to free the siege tank. Automatic teamwork.
Canonically it takes a lot of training to be a Viking pilot, because if you're not careful the transformation sequence will turn you into a pile of assorted guts. That's the last mechanical unit I'd want to be.
I mean... That's a bit of lore that doesn't make much sense. Think about how much training you'd get before you did your first actual transformation, it'd be impractical to build a mech that kills the pilots like that
If i were Clem, i wouldn't have surrendered the last 2 games, especially the last one, so fast, seeing as this is a grand final. Since there's nothing to lose, why not just play it out and hope the opponent makes a mistake that balances out your failed all-in? Unless he was tired?
Just a little FYI: scientific research studies have consistently shown that spoilers make content MORE enjoyable. We gotta get public opinion to shift into realizing this fact and quit worrying about spoilers.
Lowko are you ever going to reach out to Clem and ask him what MLEM is? I've been hammering google and digging up nothing Edit: I can only find that it's referring to the sound effect a cat/dog makes sticking their tongue or licking... is it him sticking his tongue out at his opponents?
Hi, I am collecting StarCraft2 gameplay data for a research on teaching LLMs to plan subsequent moves in StarCraft2. Would you be open to participating? The data collected will be completely anonymous.
...Why would you use an LLM for that? Large Language Models are specialised for... well, language. It seems like it would be much more sensible to make a neural network specialised for Starcraft than to try to teach one specialised for other things. (I think SC2-focused neural networks might already exist, in fact.)
Honestly. Wat can toss do against marauders rush. Stalk is terrible against it. Lots can't touch them. Adeptbad as well. Srsly terran shoukd rush this in every game against toss
