One thing that we learned from The Strat lying and saying that they are not going to charge for parking (as they were building the pay gates in their parking garage): Las Vegas resorts can straight up lie through their teeth even if the only one they are fooling is themself, and people will still go there.

No one at MGM nor MGM as a whole has accepted accountability for this. If you were wide open to the attack, you are accountable, if you didn’t invest enough in cybersecurity, you are accountable. If your IT leadership had its priorities wrong, you are accountable. Malicious threat actors are always going to do their job, they are only successful, when IT Leadership does not do their job of protecting customer data. MGM, you are 100% accountable.

Agreed. You the company might as well tell the truth and do what you can to amend the problem. One thing customers hate is when they feel like they are being manipulated or lied to. There are probably several customers that will never comeback to a MGM property because of the bad experience.

My husband works for a huge mining corporation and they just went through a huge cyber hack. It took over a month to get things somewhat back to normal.

You are correct. The local Las Vegas TV stations are a joke. They are PR lackeys turf the casinos. On their newscasts,you NEVER hear any critical comments or reporting about any aspect of the casinos. No doubt, because the casinos spend a lot of advertising money on the TV stations. And money buys you silence.

What's the big surprise? From someone who first stayed at and gambled at MGM in the mid-1990s, when it was a decent property, MGM has been over-promising both clients and employees for the past two decades. I quit MGM 15 years ago. Hate to see that they now own Cosmo.

Our hospitals were hacked and all the Dr offices, pharmacies affiliated with them were affected. Couldn’t send electronic scripts for about 4 months. It took that long for our hospitals. I couldn’t imagine a casino/ hotel.

The pattern of games offline looks like they are still restoring some sections of the network. This is the worst for IT folks. Being a software vendor, I get requests to re-build our software after ransomware attacks. I had one client get Ransomware, rebuilt the system, then 3 weeks after this attack, somebody physically robbed them. This is like the cloned phone phenomenon in the 90's

ANY decent It department has a backup of all systems STORED OFF THE NETWORK.....................we keep TWO MONTHS worth of daily backups for all of our servers in on a Drive SEPERATE from our main Network

Have been onsite for 5 days. Drastically better but they are 70% back to normal. Room keys: back to normal , except for cell phone key Slots: 70% properly work Comps on your players card (free play/slot dollars): accesible with pin pad from working slots Mgm app: not working Billing restaurant to room: being done manually, so not ideal for staff. My room is getting cleaned, tv works, and staff is working hard to make it great. Ive seen the improvement over the last few days. I would still come to Vegas if you have plans. Its not perfect but its more than accetable given the impact of the hack

i stayed at the luxor from 9/14-9/20. left everyday and walked to center strip, couldnt take all the employees constantly lying to me and denying a cyber attack even happened

On sept 1 2023 MGM resorts stock was over $44 dollars a share. Today its worth $37 and some change. Not looking good the longer this goes on.

It reminds me of when I was in Vegas when the pandemic hit. Yes! I was there. I was staying at the Mirage. Mirage said they were closing all their properties. Next day, it was a ghost town in the hotel. Everything was down. We gambled at Caesars properties and left a day early. It sucked. We were so anxious not knowing anything. That's the thing right? The unknown and that feeling of doom. That's what drives the anxiety. So, if you were there during the Cyber attack, I 100% feel you and your frustration.

In Aria right now and you can’t charge restaurant bills to your room, you can’t make advanced reservations with concierge, etc. We wanted to get tix to Michael Jackson show at Mandalay Bay thru the concierge and we were told systems were still down and were told to buy tix thru TicketMaster or to go to Mandalay Bay and purchase tix there. Wth 🙄🤬

I couldn't believe they posted that either, as of Friday they still had multiple things down, wasn't even close to normal. They did get the check in system back online last week at one property, so that's a good thing for the front line employees there.

Jacob I played slots today at Park MGM and Bellagio and had to wait to get paid out as the machines I played didn’t print out a voucher. I am staying at Bellagio and cannot view my hotel bill through my tv in my room. Had to go down to the front desk and wait n the check in line and have a clerk show me my bill on her screen. She couldn’t print me a copy as their printer as down. So things are not back to normal.

Yeah it’s not norm. Saw Mannys live today, excaliburs line was huge, they were offering coors light beers for the people waiting in line. I saw many machines down. I appreciate you updating us!!! Please keep updating!

As someone who has worked in hotels for some time. I have been in similar situations where managment pretends like everything is fine when it's not. Then we have to deal with the angry guest when they discover that everything is not fine.

We were in Bellagio, Aria and New York. Things seemed ok. Our slots paid out normally and the ATM worked. Some MyVegas rewards are working and some are not. Definitely saw some out of service machines .

In my opinion, the new owners of Venetian (Apollo Group) are EVEN WORSE than MGM! The Exec. Hosts at Venetian now have to get ALL COMPS PRE-APPROVED BY A MARKETING VP. And, if you win BIG at Venetian, your host will screw you/revoke all your comps after you check-out, even if your host promised them when you arrived...WTF! SO, I'M DONE WITH VENETIAN!!!

Thanks as always. As for not a multi-billion dollar company... you forgot tge word yet after that. We appreciate you being truthful and informative. My wife n I usually go to Vegas for our anniversary the first week of October and this year is no exception. We did decide to change it up though and stay at Southpoint not our usual, Excalibur, this time. Looks like we made the right choice. Keep it up bro.

The electronic craps machine in Borgata was haywire 2 days ago. No fix was in sight when I finally decided to leave.

I was at aria, and checked out on Sunday. Mgm has handled this poorly. The employees are doing their best but I’ve not been able to get a hold of anyone at mgm rewards and their phones were not working yesterday.
