I’ll be sad for all the history that the mirage has on the strip but a giant guitar hard rock hotel and casino would be a perfect addiction to all the attractions on the strip. I’m optimistic but one more hotel stay might be in order!
The Luxor is profitable, and has recently been expanded and renovated. Also, the fact that the pyramid is extremely large makes it difficult to tear it down. The Stratosphere and the Fontainebleau aren't going anywhere anytime soon, either.
If you look at MGM’s portfolio, then keeping Excalibur is good in terms of location and price point. If f they did away with Excalibur they would have a very awkward gap in between Luxor and NY-NY. That’s the main reason why they purchased cosmo because of the awkward gap between aria and Bellagio
